Description
- (a) Technical Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a bed frame, and more particularly to a foldable bed frame structure.
- (b) Description of the Prior Art
- A conventional foldable bed frame structure, as shown in
FIG. 5 toFIG. 7 , comprises a bed frame, legs connected to the bottom of the bed frame, and supports 301 connected between the bed frame and the legs. The bed frame comprises aleft bed frame 101 and aright bed frame 102. The legs comprise aleft leg 201, aright leg 202, and amiddle leg 400 disposed between theleft leg 201 and theright leg 202. Theleft bed frame 101 and theright bed frame 102 are hingedly connected through connecting members. Each connecting member comprises atransverse board 501 for supporting and limiting theleft bed frame 101 and theright bed frame 102 and alongitudinal board 502 for connecting theleft bed frame 101 and theright bed frame 102. Thelongitudinal boards 502 of the connecting members are disposed at the outer sides of theleft bed frame 101 and theright bed frame 102. Thelongitudinal board 502 has a left hinge hole and a right hinge hole. The left hinge hole and the right hinge hole are provided withscrews 503. Theleft bed frame 101 and theright bed frame 102 are hingedly connected to the connecting members through thescrews 503, respectively. The upper end of themiddle leg 400 is fixed to the lower end of thetransverse board 501. The outer side of themiddle leg 400 and the outer sides of theleft bed frame 101 and theright bed frame 102 are located on the same plane. - This fordable bed frame has some shortcomings when in use. Because the
longitudinal board 502 is exposed at the outer side of the bed frame, it may hurt the user by accident to influence the safety of use. The user's clothes or the bed sheet on the bed frame may be hooked by the exposedlongitudinal board 502 to influence the appearance of the entire foldable bed. Because the outer side of themiddle leg 400 and the outer side of the bed frame are located on the same plane, the user's leg may hit themiddle leg 40 by accident to be injured. This influences the safety of use. The weight of the bed frame and the article thereon acts on themiddle leg 400 through thetransverse board 501 directly. Themiddle leg 400 stands on the ground alone, so the stability of its support is not good. Themiddle leg 400 is directly fixed on thetransverse board 501. For themiddle leg 400 to be fixed steady, the cross-section of thetransverse board 501 of the foldable bed must be larger relatively. The distance between theleft bed frame 101 and theright bed frame 102 after folded is larger accordingly. After folded, the foldable bed occupies much space. - Accordingly, the inventor of the present invention has devoted himself based on his many years of practical experiences to solve these problems.
- The primary object of the present invention is to provide a foldable bed frame structure which is safe for use and stable for support and occupies less space.
- In order to achieve the aforesaid object, the foldable bed frame structure of the present invention comprises a bed frame, legs connected to the bottom of the bed frame, and supports connected between the bed frame and the legs. The bed frame comprises a left bed frame and a right bed frame. The legs comprise a left leg, a right leg, and a middle leg disposed between the left leg and the right leg. The left bed frame and the right bed frame are hingedly connected through connecting members. Each connecting member comprises a transverse board for supporting and limiting the left bed frame and the right bed frame and a longitudinal board for connecting the left bed frame and the right bed frame. The longitudinal board has a left hinge hole and a right hinge hole. The left bed frame and the right bed frame are connected with the left hinge hole and the right hinge hole through locking members, respectively. The middle leg comprises a reinforcement transverse pole and a support leg connected to the bottom of the reinforcement transverse pole. Two ends of the reinforcement transverse pole are provided with the connecting members, respectively. The longitudinal boards of the connecting members are disposed at inner sides of the left bed frame and the right bed frame. The support leg is disposed between the longitudinal boards of the connecting members.
- Preferably, the transverse board is integrally formed with the longitudinal board. The longitudinal boards of the connecting members are welded to the two ends of the reinforcement transverse pole, respectively.
- Preferably, the locking members are screws each comprising a bolt portion and a threaded portion. The bolt portion is located at the inner side of the bed frame. One end of the threaded portion is fixedly connected to the bolt portion. Another end of the threaded portion is located inside the bed frame.
- Preferably, both the left bed frame and the right bed frame are composed of a plurality of pipes. The inner ends of the left bed frame and the right bed frame are defined as pipe orifice portions of the pipes. Each pipe orifice portion is provided with a solid block. The threaded portion is screwed to the block.
- The present invention is provided with the reinforcement transverse pole and the support leg connected to the reinforcement transverse pole and disposed at the inner side of the bed frame. The support leg won't be hit by accident to ensure the safety of use. The reinforcement transverse pole enhances the stability of the support leg so as to ensure the stability of the entire foldable bed frame. The longitudinal board of the connecting member is disposed at the inner side of the bed frame to prevent the connecting member from exposing and to prevent the user from hitting the connecting member by accident and to prevent the user's clothes or the bed sheet on the bed frame from being hooked by the connecting member so as to ensure the safety of use. The transverse board is used to support the left bed frame and the right bed frame only, not functioning as a carrier to fix the support leg. Therefore, the cross-section area of the transverse board is reduced, such that the distance between the left bed frame and the right bed frame is reduced accordingly after the left bed frame and the right bed frame are folded. The foldable bed frame after folded occupies less space.
