Abstract

Extra-Thick 100% Memory Foam has the ability to mold itself to the curves of the user's foot while continually realigning itself to give way to the user's constantly changing pressure points as they move.
Extra-Thick 100% Memory Foam Flat Insoles are worn inside the user's shoe and can help reduce the excessive pressure points caused by insoles made of thinner, harder materials that don't provide enough comfort.
They are uniquely made of only 100% memory foam, and are thicker than any other memory foam insole in existence. They are thick and completely flat, like a 100% memory foam mattress. This allows the thick memory foam to conform to the individual contours of the foot, instead of forcing the foot to conform to the shape of the insole.

Description

    CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
  • Provisional Patent Application 61/802,684
  • BACKGROUND
  • The insoles available today are not made completely of only 100% soft, thick form fitting memory foam. Other “memory foam” insoles are too thin, and made with additional coatings or layers that restrict the performance of a thin layer of memory foam. None are thick enough to provide adequate comfort. The other insoles are not thick and completely flat, like a 100% memory foam mattress. This doesn't allow the insole to conform to the individual contours of the foot. Instead, it forces the foot to conform to the contours of the insole. Some other insoles are made of harder, less form fitting materials such as rubber or gel. The weight and impact of standing and walking in shoes with gel or rubber insoles that are too hard to provide enough comfort and shock absorption can create and aggravate uncomfortable pressure points in the feet and body.
  • SUMMARY
  • Extra-Thick 100% Memory Foam Flat Insoles are thicker than any other memory foam insole in existence. This provides for more shock absorption and comfort. They are uniquely made completely of only 100% memory foam to allow the soft, form fitting material to make direct contact with the foot and shoe without any additional coatings or layers to restrict the performance of the memory foam. 100% memory foam has superior impact absorption properties. They are thick and completely flat, like a 100% memory foam mattress, which allows the memory foam to conform to the individual contours of the foot. This cradles the foot while standing and walking by molding the flat, thick shape of the insole to the shape of the individual foot.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • (FIG. 1): Top view of Extra-Thick 100% Memory Foam Flat Insole
  • (#1): 100% memory foam cut vertically at a 90 degree angle into an insole shape (Shoe size customizable with scissors in its preferred embodiment; however other sizes may be used)
  • (#2): Extra Thick (1.5″ in its preferred embodiment; however other thicknesses may be used)
  • (#3): Flat shaped top
  • (FIG. 2): Bottom view of Extra-Thick 100% Memory Foam Flat Insole
  • (#1): Flat shaped bottom
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION
  • A flat (FIG. 1—#3), (FIG. 2—#1) 100% memory foam (FIG. 1—#1) sheet (FIG. 1—#2) 1.5″ thick in its preferred embodiment; however other thicknesses may be used, is cut vertically at a 90 degree angle into an insole shape (FIG. 1) This creates a single, flexible piece of 100% memory foam to be positioned inside the user's shoe. Shoe size customizable with scissors in its preferred embodiment, however other shoe sizes may be used.
  • Extra-Thick 100% Memory Foam Flat Insoles are pressed down and inserted flat into the user's shoes. The flexible heel is held back with the user's thumb as the foot is inserted over the thick memory foam. This allows the unique form-fitting, soft, comfortable, pressure point reducing, shock absorbing properties of 100% memory foam to be experienced under the foot.
  • The open cell structure of memory foam is one in which each cell has holes. When these cells are compressed, the air pressure is spread to neighboring cells. Due to these unique properties, Memory Foam molds itself to the curves of the user's foot while continually realigning itself to give way to the user's constantly changing pressure points as they move. This cell structure helps the user more evenly distribute their weight as they stand or walk in many settings, including work, sports, or at home.
