Abstract
A transformable toy assembly provides body parts that are selectively detachable. The assembly includes a head and a main body. The main body has an upper end and a lower end. A plurality of fasteners removably couples the head to the main body and removably couples each of the attachment members to one of the head and the main body.
Description
- The disclosure relates to toy devices and more particularly pertains to a new toy device for providing body parts that are selectively detachable.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a head and a main body. The main body has an upper end and a lower end. The upper end is removably coupled to the head. A plurality of attachment members is removably coupled to the head and the main body. A plurality of fasteners removably couples the head to the main body and removably couples each of the attachment members to one of the head and the main body.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:

FIGS. 1 through 7 thereof, a new toy device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 7 , the transformable toy assembly 10 generally comprises ahead 12 having afront side 14, aback side 16, atop side 18 and abottom side 20. Amain body 24 is provided having anupper end 26 and alower end 28. Theupper end 26 is removably coupled to thehead 12. A pair oflegs 36 is coupled to thelower end 28 of themain body 24. Thelegs 36 may each have different lengths relative to each other. - The
head 12 has a head opening 22 therein for accessing an interior of thehead 12. The head opening 22 may extend from thefront side 14 to theback side 16 of thehead 12. Ahead closure 30 is attached to thehead 12 and is actuated to a closed state closing the head opening 22 or to an opened state allowing access to the interior of thehead 12. Thehead closure 30 may comprise a zipper, a hook and loop coupler or the like. As shown inFIG. 3 , thehead closure 30 may include both a zipper and a hook and loop coupler, for example, to provide multiple ways of closing the head opening 22. Atoy brain 34 is positionable within the interior of thehead 12.Hair 35 may be coupled to thehead 12. - A plurality of
attachment members 38 is provided each being removably coupled to one of thehead 12 and themain body 24. Theattachment members 38 include a pair ofarm attachment members 40 being removably coupled to themain body 24. Thearm attachment members 40 extend outwardly from themain body 24. Thearm attachment members 40 include a firstarm attachment member 42 and a secondarm attachment member 44. Each of thearm attachment members 40 has an arm opening 46 therein for accessing an interior of the associatedarm attachment member 40. A pair ofeye attachment members 48 is removably coupled to thehead 12. Theeye attachment members 48 include a firsteye attachment member 50 and a secondeye attachment member 52. A nose andmouth attachment member 54 is removably coupled to thehead 12. The nose andmouth attachment member 54 may include each of a nose 56, amouth 58 and a pair ofteeth 60 extending downwardly from themouth 58. A pair ofear attachment members 62 is removably coupled to thehead 12. Atail attachment member 64 is removably coupled to themain body 24. A plurality ofpatch attachment members 66 is provided. Thepatch attachment members 66 are removably coupled to themain body 24 and thehead 12. In particular, thepatch attachment members 66 may be sewn onto themain body 24 and thehead 12. Abandage attachment member 68 is removably coupled to thehead 12. - A plurality of
fasteners 70 removably couples thehead 12 to themain body 24 and each of theattachment members 38 to one of thehead 12 and themain body 24. Thefasteners 70 include atail fastener 72, ahead fastener 76, a pair ofarm fasteners 86, a nose andmouth fastener 96, a pair ofeye fasteners 106, a pair ofear fasteners 116 and abandage fastener 74. The tail fastener 72 removably couples thetail attachment member 64 to themain body 24. Thetail fastener 72 may comprise a hook and loop coupler or like fastener. The bandage fastener 74 removably couples thebandage attachment member 68 to thehead 12. Thebandage fastener 74 may comprise a hook and loop coupler or like fastener. - The head fastener 76 removably couples the
head 12 to themain body 24. Thehead fastener 76 includes afirst mating member 78 coupled to thehead 12 and asecond mating member 80 coupled to theupper end 26 of themain body 24. The first 78 and second 80 mating members may comprise complementary portions of a hook and loop coupler, zipper or the like. Alternatively, or in addition, thefirst mating mating 78 of thehead fastener 76 may comprise aprojection 82 coupled to and extending outwardly from thebottom side 20 of thehead 12 and thesecond mating member 80 of thehead fastener 76 may comprise ahole 84 extending into theupper end 26 of themain body 24. Theprojection 82 of thehead fastener 76 is extendable into thehole 84 of thehead fastener 76 to releasably retain thehead 12 on themain body 24. - The
arm fasteners 86 removably couple thearm attachment members 40 to themain body 24. Each of the first 42 and second 44 arm attachment members includes afirst mating member 88 coupled to the associated first 42 and second 44 arm attachment member and asecond mating member 90 coupled to themain body 24. The first 88 and second 90 mating members may comprise complementary portions of a hook and loop coupler, zipper or the like. Alternatively, or in addition, the first 88 mating member may comprise aprojection 92 coupled to and extending outwardly from the associated first 42 and second 44 arm attachment members and thesecond mating member 90 may comprise ahole 94 extending into themain body 24. Eachprojection 92 of thearm fasteners 86 is extendable into the associatedhole 94 to releasably retain thearm attachment members 40 on themain body 24. - The nose and
mouth fastener 96 removably couples the nose andmouth attachment member 54 to thehead 12. The nose andmouth fastener 96 includes afirst mating member 98 coupled to the nose andmouth attachment member 54 and asecond mating member 100 coupled to thehead 12. The first 98 and second 100 mating members may comprise complementary portions of a hook and loop coupler, zipper or the like. Each of the first 98 and second 100 mating members of the nose andmouth fasteners 96 may comprise an elongated strip. Alternatively, or in addition, thefirst mating member 98 may comprise aprojection 102 coupled to and extending outwardly from the nose andmouth attachment member 54 and thesecond mating member 100 may comprise ahole 104 extending into thehead 12. Theprojection 102 of the nose andmouth fastener 96 is extendable into thehole 104 to releasably retain the nose andmouth attachment member 54 on thehead 12. - The
eye fasteners 106 removably couple theeye attachment members 48 to thehead 12. Each of the first 50 and second 52 eye attachment members includes afirst mating member 108 coupled to the associated first 50 and second 52 eye attachment members and asecond mating member 110 coupled to thehead 12. Each of the first 108 and second 110 mating members may comprise complementary portions of a hook and loop coupler, zipper or the like. Each of the first 108 and second 110 mating members of theeye fasteners 106 may be annular. Alternatively, or in addition, thefirst mating member 108 may comprise aprojection 112 coupled to and extending outwardly from the associated first 50 and second 52 eye attachment members and thesecond mating member 110 may comprise ahole 114 extending into thehead 12. Eachprojection 112 of theeye fasteners 106 is extendable into the associatedhole 114 to releasably retain theeye attachment members 48 on thehead 12. - The
ear fasteners 116 removably couple theear attachment members 62 to thehead 12. Each of theear fasteners 116 includes afirst mating member 117 coupled to the associatedear attachment member 62 and asecond mating member 119 coupled to thehead 12. Each of the first 117 and second 119 mating members may comprise complementary portions of a hook and loop coupler, zipper or the like. Alternatively, or in addition, thefirst mating member 117 may comprise aprojection 118 coupled to and extending outwardly from the associatedear attachment member 62 and thesecond mating member 119 may comprise ahole 120 extending intohead 12. Eachprojection 118 of theear fasteners 116 is extendable into the associatedhole 120 to releasably retain theear attachment members 62 to thehead 12. - A pair of
arm closures 122 is provided. Each of thearm closures 122 is attached to an associated one of thearm attachment members 40 and is actuated to a closed state closing the associatedarm opening 46 or to an opened state allowing access to the interior of the associatedarm attachment member 40. Each of thearm closures 122 may comprise a zipper that is coextensive with thearm openings 46. A pair ofrods 124 is provided. Each of therods 124 is positionable in an associated one of thearm openings 46. Although only one of therods 124 is shown in the Figures, it should be understood that botharm attachment members 40 have arod 124 being positionable therein. Therods 124 are configured to resemble a bone of the animal. A pair ofarm couplers 126 is provided. Each of thearm couplers 126 is attached to an associated one of thearm attachment members 40. Each of thearm couplers 126 may be a hook and loop coupler positioned proximate and aligned with the associatedarm closure 122. - A plurality of
stitch markings 128 is provided. Thestitch markings 128 are attached to thehead 12, the nose andmouth attachment member 54, thearm attachment members 40 and themain body 24. Thestitch markings 128 may be constructed from felt or like material.Decorative indicia 130 is positioned on thearm attachment members 40, themain body 24 and at least one of thelegs 36. Thedecorative indicia 130 on each of thearm attachment members 40 is configured to resemble apaw 132. - In use, as stated above and shown in the Figures, the
head 12 is attached to themain body 12 as described above. A user can couple theattachment members 38 to thehead 12 and themain body 24 as desired using thefasteners 70. Each of theattachment members 38 may correspond to a different animal. For instance, theear attachment members 62 may resemble ears of a panda, while theeye attachment members 48 may resemble eyes of an owl. In this manner, the assembly 10 allows a user to mix and match thedifferent attachment members 38 to create a mixture of different animal types. Thearm closures 122 can be actuated to an opened state to provide a user with access to therods 124, while thehead closure 30 can be actuated to an opened state to provide access to thetoy brain 34. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
Claims (17)
1. A transformable toy assembly comprising:
a head;
a main body having an upper end and a lower end, said upper end being removably coupled to said head;
a plurality of attachment members, each of said attachment members being removably coupled to one of said head and said main body; and
a plurality of fasteners removably coupling said head to said main body and removably coupling each of said attachment members to one of said head and said main body.
2. The assembly of claim 1 , further comprising:
said head having a head opening therein for accessing an interior of said head; and
a head closure attached to said head and being actuated to a closed state closing said head opening or to an opened state allowing access to said interior of said head.
3. The assembly of claim 2 , further comprising a toy brain being positionable within said interior of said head.
4. The assembly of claim 1 , further comprising a pair of legs being coupled to said lower end of said main body.
5. The assembly of claim 1 , further comprising hair coupled to said head.
6. The assembly of claim 1 , further comprising:
said plurality of attachment members including a pair of arm attachment members being removably coupled to said main body;
each of said arm attachment members having an arm opening therein for accessing an interior of said associated arm attachment member; and
a pair of arm closures, each of said arm closures being attached to an associated one of said arm attachment members and being actuated to a closed state closing said associated arm opening or to an opened state allowing access to said interior of said associated arm attachment member.
7. The assembly of claim 6 , further comprising a rod being positionable in an associated one of said arm openings.
8. The assembly of claim 1 , further comprising:
a pair of eye attachment members being removably coupled to said head, said eye attachment members including a first eye attachment member and a second eye attachment member; and
said plurality of fasteners including a pair of eye fasteners, each of said eye fasteners including a first mating member coupled to said associated first and second eye attachment members and a second mating member coupled to said head.
9. The assembly of claim 1 , further comprising:
a nose and mouth attachment member being removably coupled to said head, said nose and mouth attachment member including at least a nose and a mouth, said nose being coupled to said mouth; and
said plurality of fasteners including a nose and mouth fastener, said nose and mouth fastener including a first mating member coupled to said nose and mouth attachment member and a second mating member coupled to said head.
10. The assembly of claim 1 , further comprising:
a pair of ear attachment members being removably coupled to said head; and
said plurality of fasteners including a pair of ear fasteners, each of said ear fasteners including a first mating member coupled to said associated ear attachment member and a second mating member coupled to said head.
11. The assembly of claim 1 , further comprising:
a tail attachment member removably coupled to said main body; and
said plurality of fasteners including a tail fastener for removably coupling said tail attachment member to said main body.
12. The assembly of claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of patch attachment members, said patch attachment members being removably coupled to at least one of said main body and said head.
13. The assembly of claim 1 , further comprising:
a bandage attachment member being removably coupled to said head; and
said plurality of fasteners including a bandage fastener removably coupling said bandage attachment member to said head.
14. The assembly of claim 4 , further comprising each of said legs having different lengths relative to each other.
15. The assembly of claim 1 , further comprising:
each of said fasteners including a first mating member and a second mating member being complementary relative to each other;
at least some of said first mating members comprising a projection; and
at least some of said second mating members comprising a hole, each said projection being extendable into said associated hole to releasably retain said associated attachment member on one of said head and said main body.
16. The assembly of claim 2 , further comprising said head closure comprising a zipper being coextensive with said head opening.
17. A transformable toy assembly comprising:
a head having a front side, a back side, a top side and a bottom side, said head having an head opening therein for accessing an interior of said head, said head opening extending from said front side to said back side of said head;
a main body having an upper end and a lower end, said upper end being removably coupled to said head;
a head closure attached to said head and being actuated to a closed state closing said head opening or to an opened state allowing access to said interior of said head, said head closure comprising a zipper being coextensive with said head opening;
a toy brain being positionable within said interior of said head;
a pair of legs being coupled to said lower end of said main body, each of said legs having different lengths relative to each other;
hair being coupled to said head;
a plurality of attachment members, each of said attachment members being removably coupled to one of said head and said main body, said attachment members including;
a pair of arm attachment members being removably coupled to said main body, said arm attachment members extending outwardly from said main body, said arm attachment members including a first arm attachment member and a second arm attachment member, each of said arm attachment members having an arm opening therein for accessing an interior of said associated arm attachment member;
a pair of eye attachment members being removably coupled to said head, said eye attachment members including a first eye attachment member and a second eye attachment member;
a nose and mouth attachment member being removably coupled to said head, said nose and mouth attachment member including each of a nose, a mouth and a pair of teeth extending downwardly from said mouth;
a pair of ear attachment members being removably coupled to said head;
a tail attachment member removably coupled to said main body;
a plurality of patch attachment members, said patch attachment members being removably coupled to at least one of said main body and said head; and
a bandage attachment member being removably coupled to said head;
a plurality of fasteners removably coupling said head to said main body and removably coupling each of said attachment members to one of said head and said main body, said fasteners including;
a head fastener removably coupling said head to said main body, said head fastener including a first mating member coupled to said head and a second mating member coupled to said upper end of said main body, said first mating member of each said head fastener comprising a projection coupled to and extending outwardly from said bottom side of said head, said second mating member of each said head fastener comprising a hole extending into said upper end of said main body, said projections of said head fastener being extendable into said holes of said head fastener to releasably retain said head on said main body;
a tail fastener removably coupling said tail attachment member to said main body, said tail fastener comprising a hook and loop coupler;
a bandage fastener removably coupling said bandage attachment member to said head, said bandage fastener comprising a hook and loop coupler;
a pair of arm fasteners removably coupling each of said arm attachment members to said main body, each of said first and second arm attachment members including a first mating member coupled to said associated first and second arm attachment member and a second mating member coupled to said main body, said first mating member of each said arm fastener comprising a projection coupled to and extending outwardly from said associated first and second arm attachment members, said second mating member of each said arm fastener comprising a hole extending into said main body, said projections of said arm fastener being extendable into said holes of said arm fastener to releasably retain said arm attachment members on said main body;
a nose and mouth fastener removably coupling said nose and mouth attachment member to said head, said nose and mouth fastener including a first mating member coupled to said nose and mouth attachment member and a second mating member coupled to said head, said first mating member of said nose and mouth fastener comprising a projection coupled to and extending outwardly from said nose and mouth attachment member, said second mating member of said nose and mouth fastener comprising a hole extending into said head, said projection of said nose and mouth fastener being extendable into said hole of said nose and mouth fastener to releasably retain said nose and mouth attachment member on said head;
a pair of eye fasteners removably coupling said eye attachment members to said head, each of said eye fasteners including a first mating member coupled to said associated first and second eye attachment members and a second mating member coupled to said head, said first mating member of each said eye fastener comprising a projection coupled to and extending outwardly from said associated first and second eye attachment members, said second mating member of each said eye fastener comprising a hole extending into said head, said projections of said eye fasteners being extendable into said holes of said eye fasteners to releasably retain said eye attachment members on said head;
a pair of ear fasteners removably coupling said ear attachment members to said head, each of said ear fasteners including a first mating member coupled to said associated ear attachment member and a second mating member coupled to said head, said first mating member of each said ear fastener comprising a projection coupled to and extending outwardly from said associated ear attachment member, said second mating member of each said ear fastener comprising a hole extending into said head, said projections of said ear fasteners being extendable into said holes of said ear fasteners to releasably retain said ear attachment members on said head;
a pair of arm closures, each of said arm closures being attached to an associated one of said arm attachment members and being actuated to a closed state closing said associated arm opening or to an opened state allowing access to said interior of said associated arm attachment member, each of said arm closures comprising a zipper being coextensive with said arm openings;
a rod being positionable in an associated one of said arm openings;
a pair of arm couplers, each of said arm couplers being attached to an associated one of said arm attachment members, each of said arm couplers being a hook and loop coupler positioned proximate and aligned with said associated arm closure;
a plurality of stitch markings, said stitch markings being attached to said head, said main body and at least some of said attachment members; and
decorative indicia positioned on said main body and at least some of said attachment members, said decorative indicia on each of said arm attachment members being configured to resemble a paw.
