As to conventional production and marketing patterns, electronic products are mostly produced, assembled and sealed at different places, so that electronic components and semi-finished products have to be shipped among different manufacturers. In the filed of liquid crystal display (LCD) production, an LCD production comprises a assemble process, i.e. assembling LCD modules, governor circuits and shell respectively. Components are produced and sealed before sequential assembling of the whole LCD device. As part of the process, LCD modules are finished and sealed in LCD modules packages before shipped to correspondent assemble unit in package.
  • FIGS. 1 a, 1 b and 1 c indicate conventional LCD module package structure, comprising a case 10, a bottom cushion unit 310 and a top cushion unit 320. The bottom cushion unit 310 comprises a bottom cushion plate 311, two side cushion plates 312 set up on the bottom cushion plate 311 and locating at two sides of the bottom cushion plate 311, and three spacing cushion plates 313 set up on the bottom cushion plate 311 and in between the two side cushion plates 312. A plurality of installation grooves 3121 are set up on the two side cushion plates 312 at interval, and a plurality of spacing grooves 3131 are set up on the three spacing cushion plates 313 corresponding to the installation grooves 3121. • However, in this packing method of LCD module, the material used in internal cushion device is Expandable Polyethylene (EPE, namely purple cotton). EPE is an expanded and soft material, which means it easily deforms under pressure from external forces. To reduce the risk of mutual collision between LCD modules, the EPE between the installation grooves 3121 and the spacing grooves 3131 is usually designed to be really thick, which results in unnecessary material and space consuming leading to decrease of overall installation, hence significantly increase costs of packing and transportation.

  • FIG. 5 is an assembling diagram of the cushion unit and the spacing unit in FIG. 2.
  • FIG. 6 is a structure diagram of a spacing plate of a spacing unit according to another embodiment.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • The present invention is described in detail in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and embodiments.
  • Please refer to FIG. 2 to FIG. 5. An LCD module packing device provided in the present invention comprises a packing case (not shown) and a cushion device set up inside the packing case. The cushion device comprises a bottom cushion unit 210 and a top cushion unit matching the bottom cushion unit 210 (not shown) which has corresponding structure to the bottom cushion device 210.
  • The bottom cushion unit 210 comprises a bottom cushion plate 211 and a spacing unit 212 set up on the two ends of the bottom cushion plate 211. The spacing unit 212 is fixed on the bottom cushion plate 211 by adhering or engaging, and comprises a side spacking plate 2121 and a plurality of spacing plates 2122 set up parallel on the side spacing plate 2121 at interval. A spacing groove 2123 is formed between two neighboring spacing plates 2122 and is padded with a cushion unit 213. To avoid collision and tilting of LCD modules in transportation, the cushion unit 213 is padded in the spacing groove 2123 and matchingly engages with the spacing groove 2123. An installation groove 2131 is set up in the cushion unit 213 to place the LCD module.
  • The spacing unit 212 preferably applies plastic products made from plastic extruding arts, whose advantages in light weight, transportation convenience, performance stability and high crushing resistance, thus is capable of providing excellent supporting to LCD module to prevent mutual collision; besides, these plastic products are reusable, which leads to cost reduction of packing The cushion unit 213 preferably applies Expandable Polyethylene (EPE) material, which is soft, thus is capable of providing excellent cushion to the LCD module to prevent the LCD module from damage.
  • To further improve supporting strength of the spacing unit 212, a bottom end A of the spacing plate 2122 occupies a larger space of that of a top end B of the spacing plate 2122, thus the bottom end A of the spacing plate 2122 is strengthened. As FIG. 2 indicates, a preferred structure of the bottom end A of the spacing plate 2122 is triangle, because triangle is stable enough to provide excellent supporting to the LCD module and to prevent rupture of the bottom end A of the spacing plate 2122 in the mean time. At the same time, as FIG. 6 indicates, in other embodiments the bottom end A of the spacing plate 2122 can just be overstriking structure or other structure capable of improving supporting effect.
  • The packing case can be a paper case or a plastic case, the latter one is preferred in the embodiment. The plastic case has better structure than the paper case, besides it is reusable and sustainable, moisture proof or water proof, so that provides better protection. In addition, reusable packing cases reduce packing cost.
  • The packing of the LCD module processes in sequence. The bottom cushion unit 210 is placed at the bottom plate of the packing case at first, the LCD module is placed in the installation groove 2131 secondly, and last the top cushion unit is set up on the LCD module. Packing is then finished.
  • In sum, the present invention provides an LCD module packing device to protect LCD modules, in which a cushion device works through coordination of a supporting hard spacing unit and a cushioning soft cushion unit. Supporting effects of the spacing unit brings down thickness of the cushion unit, so that cost of packing is reduced due to decreased usage of packing material and increased utility of packing space; besides, cost of packing is further reduced because the spacing unit is reusable.
  • Those skilled in the art will readily observe that numerous modifications and alterations of the device and method may be made while retaining the teachings of the invention. Accordingly, the above disclosure should be construed as limited only by the metes and bounds of the appended claims.
