Definitions
- the present invention relates generally to a two piece closure caps for bottle containers having a threaded neck portion onto which the cap is intended to fit. More specifically, the bottle container is used for storing and dispensing pharmaceutical/medical product.
- the medical product is in the liquid form for ophthalmic and/or Ear related infections/disease.
- the inventors of the proposed invention identify that mainly the size and design of orifice of the bottle container and closure cap govern the entire dispensing phenomenon. So far, the flow of liquid from the bottle container or vial is not precisely quantified in any of the designs available in the prior art.
- the closure cap for bottle having the traditional spiral thread on a standard bottle container do not have potential to store the drug without leakage and at the same time dispense correct amount of drug to the user.
- Another objective of the present invention is to provide a closure cap along with bottle container overcome the problem of over dispensing of liquid drug and ensure safeguard to human eye/ear against many potential hazards.
- Yet another objective of the present invention is to provide a closure cap for bottle container which is capable to provide accurate and uniform dispensing of liquid and at the same store the liquid leak proof.
- Yet another objective of the present invention is to provide device pertains to the specific size and design of the orifice to give uniform quantity of each liquid drop oozing out from the vial.
- closure cap for bottle containers having a threaded neck portion onto which the cap is intended to fit. More specifically, closure cap is basically two piece construction, wherein specific size and design of the orifice is provided in the first piece to give accurate and uniform quantity of each liquid drop from the bottle container and at the same time stopping means is provided in the second piece to ensure leak proof storage.
- the development of this particular device help to utilize the liquid efficiently with the control on the exact quantity required to be dispensed. It is an advanced design with better control and can be used widely with improved human comfort and care.
- the drop size depends on the dispensing quantity and viscosity of the liquid.
- the size of the orifice has to be specific for a particular dispensing quantity and particular liquid characteristics.
- the desired liquid output can be achieved for a specific fluid after studying the liquid properties and finalizing the orifice size.
- This new invention is widely applicable for any liquid for any desired output.
- the product of present invention bring safeguard to human eye or ear or against many potential hazards due to over dispensing.
- FIG. 1 shows the first piece (part) of closure cap for bottle container according to the present invention.
- FIG. 2 shows the second piece (part) of closure cap for bottle container according to the present invention.
- the present invention relates to a closure cap for bottle container which is capable to provide accurate and uniform dispensing of liquid and at the same store the liquid leak proof comprising two pieces
- a) a first piece (A) of closure of cap comprises a cylindrical portion ( 12 ) and semi circular portion ( 11 ), wherein the cylindrical portion adapted and configured with open portion of bottle container and the said circular portion comprises an orifice ( 10 ), which collects the accurate dosing amount in the same and allows uniform quantity of each liquid drop oozing out from the orifice
- a second piece (B) of closure cap being adapted and configured on the circular portion ( 11 ) of the first piece (A), wherein the second piece having a stopping mean ( 20 ), which rest in the orifice ( 10 ) of the first piece for achieving the leak proof closing of first piece and provide accurate and uniform dispensing of liquid, upon removal of the same.
- cylindrical portion of the first piece having threads as per the corresponding threads on the neck of the bottle container.
- semi circular portion of the first piece having threads as per the corresponding threads on the second piece (B) of closure cap.
- orifice ( 10 ) is selected from any shape and size so as to dispense the accurate liquid.
- liquid may be a drug solution in order to protect human eye and/or ear and/or nose.
- Still another aspect of the present invention wherein the orifice ( 10 ) is having conical shape.
- stopping means ( 20 ) to be adapted and configured as per structure of orifice ( 10 ) to prevent any leakage, during non use of the said bottle container.
- a further aspect of the present invention wherein A bottle container incorporated with a closure cap as claimed in claim 1 for storing and dispensing pharmaceutical/medical product.
- closure cap for bottle containers having a threaded neck portion onto which the cap is intended to fit. More specifically, closure cap is basically two piece construction, wherein specific size and design of the orifice ( 10 ) is provided in the first piece to give accurate and uniform quantity of each liquid drop from the bottle container and at the same time stopping means ( 20 ) is provided in the second piece to ensure leak proof storage.
- the first piece (A) of closure of cap comprises a cylindrical portion ( 12 ) up to predetermined length and thereafter semi circular portion ( 11 ) up to certain length, wherein internal treads are provided in the cylindrical portion as per the corresponding threads on the neck of the bottle container.
- the cylindrical portion contains opening from one end as per the size and shape of opening of bottle container. Further, outer threads are provided on the circular portion ( 11 ).
- the said circular portion comprises an orifice ( 10 ) of specific size and design. More particularly, the said orifice is having conical shape ( 10 ), which collects the accurate dosing amount in the same and allows uniform quantity of each liquid drop oozing out from the orifice.
- the said conical shape firstly collect pre-determined amount of liquid drug and dispense the same without the chances of over dispensing.
- the said conical shape and size may vary as per the desired quantity of liquid drug to be dispensed.
- the second piece (B) of closure cap having internal thread and configured on the circular portion ( 11 ) of the first piece.
- the second piece having stopping means ( 20 ), which rest in the conical shape ( 10 ) for achieving the leak proof closing of first piece.
- the construction of stopping means ( 20 ) may vary as per construction of orifice ( 10 ) to prevent any leakage, during non use of the said bottle container.
- a user firstly opens the second piece (B) then only liquid stored in the bottle container will dispense from the orifice ( 10 ) of the first piece.
- the orifice design and shape ensure the accurate amount to be dispensed from the container to the eye or ear.
- the second piece (B) will be placed on the first piece (A), which provides leakage proof sealing to the bottle container irrespective of the bottle container placement.
- Primary advantage of the present invention is to provide a closure cap along with bottle container overcome the problem of over dispensing of liquid drug and ensure safeguard to human eye/ear against many potential hazards.
- Yet another advantage of the present invention is to provide a closure cap for bottle container which is capable to provide accurate and uniform, dispensing of liquid and at the same store the liquid leak proof.
- Yet another advantage of the present invention is to provide device pertains to the specific size and design of the orifice to give uniform quantity of each liquid drop oozing out from the vial.
