Abstract
A construction toy has a main body made of plastic or rubber in one step forming and a connector made of plastic or rubber in one step forming, at least a connection groove is disposed and concave in the main body, the connector includes at least two joints and a neck fixedly connected to the two joints. The joint is coupled to the connection groove.
Description
- The present invention relates to a toy, especially to a construction toy.
- The existing construction toy usually has two kinds: one kind is 2D construction toy, the other kind is the building block. The 2D construction toy can only be assembled to be a 2D toy. This type of toy cannot make wonderful 3D models and its brain-training capacity is limited. If the blocks are too big, the resulting shape built from them is rough and poor in imagination.
- The present invention is provided with a construction toy, which overcomes the disadvantages of the 2D construction toy and the building block.
- The first technical proposal of the present invention to overcome the technical problem is as below:
- A construction toy includes a main body made of plastic or rubber in one step forming, at least a joint is disposed and convex in the main body, at least a connection groove is disposed and concave in the main body, the joint is coupled to the connection groove.
- In another preferred embodiment, the joint is spherical shaped, the joint is fixedly connected to the main body by the neck of the joint, the connection groove is truncated spherical shaped.
- In another preferred embodiment, the aperture radius of the truncated spherical groove is smaller than the radius of the truncated spherical groove, the height of the truncated spherical groove is larger than the radius of the truncated spherical groove.
- In another preferred embodiment, the main body is spherical shaped, the main body is extended out with two joints of horizontal symmetry, two connection grooves of horizontal symmetry are disposed in the main body in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the two joints, the aperture of the connection groove is smoothed.
- The second technical proposal of the present invention is:
- A construction toy includes a main body made of plastic or rubber in one step forming and a connector made of plastic or rubber in one step forming, at least a connection groove is disposed and concave in the main body, the connector includes at least two joints and a neck fixedly connected to the two joints, the joint is coupled to the connection groove.
- In another preferred embodiment, the joint of the main body is plugged to the connection groove of other main body, the two main bodies can relatively rotate to form various directions.
- In another preferred embodiment, the joint is spherical shaped, the connection groove is truncated spherical shaped.
- In another preferred embodiment, the aperture radius of the truncated spherical groove is smaller than the radius of the truncated spherical groove, the height of the truncated spherical groove is larger than the radius of the truncated spherical groove.
- The third technical proposal of the present invention is:
- A construction toy includes a first main body made of plastic or rubber in one step forming and a second main body made of plastic or rubber in one step forming, at least a joint is disposed and convex in the first main body, at least a connection groove is disposed and concave in the second main body, the joint is coupled to the connection groove.
- In another preferred embodiment, the joint of the main body is plugged to the connection groove of other main body, the two main bodies can relatively rotate to form various directions.
- In another preferred embodiment, the joint is spherical shaped, the connection groove is truncated spherical shaped.
- In another preferred embodiment, the aperture radius of the truncated spherical groove is smaller than the radius of the truncated spherical groove, the height of the truncated spherical groove is larger than the radius of the truncated spherical groove.
- Compared to the existing technology, the technical proposal of the present invention has advantages as below:
- 1. With the joint and the connection groove assembling together, the construction toy can be assembled in imaginative and brain-training ways including 3D models.
- 2. The joint is spherical shaped, and the connection groove is truncated spherical shaped, so that assembly can be realized in multidirectional angles to provide a solid and creative construction toy.
- 3. The aperture radius of the truncated spherical groove is smaller than the radius of the truncated spherical groove, and the height of the truncated spherical groove is larger than the radius of the truncated spherical groove. The joint and the truncated spherical groove can be assembled and located efficiently for convenient construction.
- 4. The aperture of the truncated spherical groove is smooth so that assembly is convenient.
- The present invention will be further described with the drawings and the embodiments.

The spherical shape is convenient to assemble. For convenience to assemble the toy in a cubic shape, the apexes and the edges of the cube have to be smoothed. Two joints are disposed and convex in themain body 100, the axes of rotation of the twojoints 110 coincide and run through the center of themain body 100. Twoconnection grooves 120 are disposed and concave in themain body 100. The axes of rotation of the twoconnection grooves 120 coincide and run through the center of themain body 100. The axis of rotation of the twojoints 110 is perpendicular to that of the twoconnection grooves 120. - The
joint 110 is coupled to theconnection groove 120. Thejoint 110 is spherical shaped. Thejoint 110 is fixedly connected to themain body 100 by theneck 130. Theconnection groove 120 is a truncated spherical shape, the aperture radius of the truncatedspherical groove 120 is smaller than the radius of the truncatedspherical groove 120. The difference between the aperture radius of the truncatedspherical groove 120 and its radius is better if the value is ranged from 1 mm to 3 mm. The height of the truncatedspherical groove 120 is larger than its radius. The difference between the height of the truncatedspherical groove 120 and its radius is better if the value is ranged from 1 mm to 3 mm. The aperture of the truncatedspherical groove 120 is smoothed. -
FIG. 2 andFIG. 3 show the joint 110 of themain body 100 plugged into theconnection groove 120 of other main body. The twomain bodies 100 can rotate relatively to form varies directions. - The difference between the second embodiment and the first embodiment is explained below.
FIG. 4 shows twojoints 110 are disposed and convex in themain body 100. The axes of rotation of the twojoints 110 coincide and run through the center of themain body 100. Fourconnection grooves 120 are disposed and concave in themain body 100. The fourconnection grooves 120 are ring arranged. The axis of rotation of the twojoints 110 and the axis in perpendicular direction of the ring arranged fourconnection grooves 120 coincide. -
FIG. 5 show construction toy that include a firstmain body 200 and a secondmain body 300, both made of plastic or rubber in one step forming The firstmain body 200 and the secondmain body 300 are spherical shaped. Other shapes, like a cubic shape can be applied. The spherical shape is convenient to assemble. For convenience when assembling the toy in a cubic shape, the apexes and the edges of the cube have to be smoothed. At least a first joint 210 is disposed and convex in the firstmain body 200. At least afirst connection groove 310 is disposed and concave in the secondmain body 300. The first joint 210 is coupled to thefirst connection groove 310. - The first joint 210 is coupled to the
first connection groove 310. The first joint 210 is spherical shaped. The first joint 210 is fixedly connected to the firstmain body 200 by afirst neck 220. Thefirst connection groove 310 is truncated spherical shaped. The aperture radius of thefirst connection groove 310 is smaller that its radius. The difference between the aperture radius of thefirst connection groove 310 and its radius is better if the value is better if the value is ranged from 1 mm to 3 mm. The height of the first truncatedspherical groove 310 is larger than its radius. The difference between the height of the first truncatedspherical groove 310 and its radius is better if the value is ranged from 1 mm to 3 mm. The aperture of thefirst connection groove 310 is smoothed. - The Fourth Embodiment

FIG. 6 throughFIG. 9 . show a construction toy including a thirdmain body 400 made of plastic or rubber in one step forming and aconnector 500 made of plastic or rubber in one step forming The thirdmain body 400 is spherical shaped. Other shapes, like a cubic shape can be applied. The spherical shape is convenient to assemble. For convenience to assemble the toy in a cubic shape, the apexes and the edges of the cube have to be smoothed. At least asecond connection groove 410 is disposed and concave in the thirdmain body 400. Theconnector 500 includes twosecond joints 510 and asecond neck 520 fixedly connected between the twosecond joints 510. - The second joint 510 is coupled to the
second connection groove 410. The second joint 510 is spherical shaped. Thesecond connection groove 410 is a truncated spherical shape. The aperture radius of thesecond connection groove 410 is smaller than its radius. The difference value between the aperture radius of thesecond connection groove 410 and its radius is better if the value is ranged from 1 mm to 3 mm. The height of thesecond connection groove 410 is larger than its radius. The difference value between the height of thesecond connection groove 410 and its radius is better if the value is ranged from 1 mm to 3 mm. The aperture of thesecond connection groove 410 is smoothed. - Although the present invention has been described with reference to the preferred embodiments thereof for carrying out the patent for invention, it is apparent to those skilled in the art that a variety of modifications and changes may be made without departing from the scope of the patent for invention which is intended to be defined by the appended claims.
- The present invention is provided with a construction toy. With the joint and the connection groove assembling together, the construction toy can be assembled in imaginative and brain-training ways including 3D models. It can be put into mass production with industrial applicability.
Claims (14)
1. A construction toy, wherein includes a main body made of plastic or rubber in one step forming, at least a joint is disposed and convex in the main body, at least a connection groove is disposed and concave in the main body, the joint is coupled to the connection groove.
2. A construction toy according to the claim 1 , wherein the joint is spherical shaped, the joint is fixedly connected to the main body by the neck of the joint, the connection groove is truncated spherical shaped.
3. A construction toy according to the claim 2 , wherein the aperture radius of the truncated spherical groove is smaller than the radius of the truncated spherical groove, the height of the truncated spherical groove is larger than the radius of the truncated spherical groove.
4. A construction toy according to the claim 3 , wherein the main body is spherical shaped, the main body is extended out with two joints of horizontal symmetry, two connection grooves of horizontal symmetry are disposed in the main body in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the two joints, the aperture of the connection groove is smoothed.
5. A construction toy according to the claim 3 , wherein the joint of the main body is plugged to the connection groove of other main body, the two main bodies can relatively rotate to form various directions.
6. A construction toy, wherein includes a main body made of plastic or rubber in one step forming and a connector made of plastic or rubber in one step forming, at least a connection groove is disposed and concave in the main body, the connector includes at least two joints and a neck fixedly connected to the two joints, the joint is coupled to the connection groove.
7. A construction toy according to the claim 6 , wherein the joint is spherical shaped, the connection groove is truncated spherical shaped.
8. A construction toy according to the claim 7 , wherein the aperture radius of the truncated spherical groove is smaller than the radius of the truncated spherical groove, the height of the truncated spherical groove is larger than the radius of the truncated spherical groove.
9. A construction toy according to the claim 8 , wherein the main body is spherical shaped, the main body is extended out with two joints of horizontal symmetry, two connection grooves of horizontal symmetry are disposed in the main body in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the two joints, the aperture of the connection groove is smoothed.
10. A construction toy according to the claim 9 , wherein the joint of the connector is plugged into the connection groove of the main body, the connector rotates relatively to the main body to form various directions.
11. A construction toy, wherein includes a first main body made of plastic or rubber in one step forming and a second main body made of plastic or rubber in one step forming, at least a joint is disposed and convex in the first main body, at least a connection groove is disposed and concave in the second main body, the joint is coupled to the connection groove.
12. A construction toy according to the claim 11 , wherein the joint is spherical shaped, the connection groove is truncated spherical shaped.
13. A construction toy according to the claim 12 , wherein the aperture radius of the truncated spherical groove is smaller than the radius of the truncated spherical groove, the height of the truncated spherical groove is larger than the radius of the truncated spherical groove.
14. A construction toy according to the claim 12 , wherein the first main body is spherical shaped.
