Abstract

A tool display rack includes a body having a box-shaped space defined therein and a pivotal plate is pivotably connected to the lower portion of the back board of the rack. The pivotal plate is pivotable outward to form a larger insertion entrance so as to accommodate the tool. Multiple positioning holes are defined in the front side of the body for positioning the tools. The pivotal plate has two studs extending from the inside thereof and the studs are engaged with two locking slots in the body so as to prevent the tool from dropping from the rack. When picking the tool, the studs are cut to pivot the pivotal plate and the tool can be picked out. The tool display rack is safe for the tool and suitable for display purpose.

Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a tool display rack, and more particularly, to a safety display rack with a pivotal plate at the lower portion of the back board to form an insertion entrance through which the tool is inserted.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The conventional tool display for display of small tools is designed to be hanged on a wall and most part of the tool is exposed for convenient observation by the customers. The tools such as pliers, screwdrivers or clip positioning tools, which have different length of handles and different sizes of curved portions, especially for the head portions with curvatures occupy a lot of space. Conventionally, the head portions are packed by paper boards and the whole tools are packed by bubbled sheets. The bubbled sheets are transparent so that the customers can see the tools and the tools are packed to prevent from dropping or being grabbed without permission. However, the packing material becomes obstacles for the observation from the customers and the paper boards cannot support the weight of the tools so that these tools are stacked and cannot be hanged on the wall. Besides, when picking the tool from the packing material, the customers follow the folding lines on the back of the packing material to make an opening from which the tool is taken out. This is one of ways that the displayed tools are taken away when the tools are displayed on the wall. The paper boards become soft and easily broken when they are in contact with humidity.
  • The present invention intends to provide a tool display rack which has a space for receiving a tool and a pivotal plate is pivotably connected to the body of the rack to restrict the tool. The display rack is suitable for being hanged on the wall and has safety feature.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a tool display rack and comprises a body having a box-shaped space defined therein and a pivotal plate is pivotably connected to the lower portion of the back board of the rack. The pivotal plate is pivotable outward to form a larger insertion entrance to accommodate the tool. Multiple positioning holes are defined in the front side of the body for positioning the tools. The pivotal plate can be locked to the body to prevent the tool from dropping from the rack.
  • The object of the present invention is to provide a tool display rack which has a pivotal plate on lower portion of the back board so as to form an insertion entrance and the tool can be inserted into the space of the rack and the pivotal plate is then fixed to the body of the rack. The display rack is suitable for being hanged on the wall and has safety feature.
  • The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view to show the tool display rack of the present invention;
  • FIG. 2 shows that a tool is positioned at the tool display rack of the present invention by using a locking member;
  • FIG. 3 shows that another tool is positioned at the tool display rack of the present invention;
  • FIG. 4 shows that a pair of scissors is used to cut the pivotal plate of the tool display rack of the present invention;
  • FIG. 5 shows that the tool is exposed when the pivotal plate of the tool display rack of the present invention is cut;
  • FIG. 6 shows another embodiment of the tool display rack of the present invention, and
  • FIG. 7 shows a tool is positioned at the tool display rack of the present invention in FIG. 6.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, the tool display rack of the present invention comprises a body 10 having a box-shaped space 11 defined therein and the space 11 is partially defined by a back board 13. A hanging board 13 extends toward the top of the back board 13 and a hanging hole 14 is defined in the hanging board 13 for hanging the display rack on a wall. Multiple insertion holes 15 are defined in the extension (top portion) of the back board 12 and the insertion holes 15 have different sizes and shapes for positioning different tools. A folding line 16 is defined at the mediate portion of the back board 12 to form a pivotal plate 20 on the lower portion of the back board 12. The pivotal plate 20 has protrusions 21, positioning plates 19 or locking members 23 for positioning the tool 30. The pivotal plate 20 has two studs 24 extending from the inside thereof and the studs 24 are engaged with two locking slots 17 in the body 10. Multiple positioning holes 18 are defined in the front side of the body 10 for positioning the tool when needed. The pivotal plate 20 is pivotable outward to form a larger insertion entrance so that the tool 30 with larger head or irregular shape part can be inserted in the space 11, such as the clip positioning tool. By the insertion holes 15 or the positioning holes 18, and the cooperation of the protrusions 21, the positioning plates 22 or the locking members 23, the tool can be positioned as shown in FIG. 2. When a small tool 30 is inserted in the space 11, the locking member 23 is inserted into the positioning hole 31 of the tool 30 to position the tool 30. The insertion holes 15 are convenient for the positioning of different tools 30. As shown in FIG. 3, the body 10 of the display rack is made by one set of molds and can be used with different tools 30. When the tool 30 is set, the pivotal plate 20 is pivoted downward and the studs 24 are engaged with two locking slots 17 to secure the pivotal plate 20 to securely position the tool 30 for achieving the purpose of display and anti-theft.
  • As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, when picking the tool 30 from the body 10, a pair of scissors 40 is used to cut the securing positions from the notches 25 and the open slots 26 to allow the pivotal plate 20 to be pivotable outward for convenience of picking out of the tool 30.
  • When display a screwdriver, because of the larger diameter of the handle 32 of the tool 30 and the length of the shank, the second embodiment of the display rack as shown in FIGS. 6 and 7 is provided. The space 11 is longer than the first embodiment, so that the handle 32 is positioned in the space 11 and two cone-shaped and curved positioning plates 19 connected to the mediate portion of the space 11 to enclose the handle 32. A semi-circular and curved pivotal strip 27 is pivotably connected to the lower portion of the back of the body 10. The pivotal strip 27 can be a polygonal strip or a curve strip. Two studs 24 extend from two ends of the pivotal strip 27 and the body 10 has two through holes 28 with which the studs 24 are securely engaged. The studs 24 protrude from the body 10 when passing through the through holes 28. The studs 24 are designed to have a hooked end to be securely connected to the body 10. The pivotal strip 27 is pivotable outward to form larger insertion entrance which accommodates the handle 32 or larger part of the tool 30. When picking the tool 30, the hooked ends can be cut and the pivotal strip 27 can be pivoted outward to easily pick the tool 30 out. The second embodiment of the tool display rack has simple structure and can position different tools 30.
  • While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
