In order to insure the proper stopping of the core pins and the die moving mechanism in proper positionsatall times, I employ cams and lock mechanisms in connection with the gears and 59 and the gears 66 and 61. i This mechanism is brought out more clearly in Figs. 3, 6, and 7.
Referringnow to Figs. 3 and 6, the gear 59 has l acam I2| xed on the face thereof and a lock member |22: mOuntedupon a block as |23 that surrounds the shaft 53 upon which the gear 55 iskeyed. ABlockIZ-, however, is xed against rotation by being formed on the bearing for the l' shaftf53 so that the action of the cam is merely to raise orlower the member |22.
