Description
- 1Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a support and, more particularly, to a placement rack for placing personal articles, such clothes, papers, files, makeup products and the like.
- 2Description of the Related Art
- A conventional placement rack comprises a hollow body to receive personal articles, such clothes, papers, files, makeup products and the like. However, the conventional placement rack has a fixed structure and cannot be folded to have a smaller volume, thereby increasing the cost in packaging, storage and transportation of the placement rack. In addition, a plurality of placement racks cannot be connected with each other, thereby decreasing the versatility of the placement racks.
- In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a placement rack, comprising a rear frame, two side plates pivotally connected with the rear frame, a front panel pivotally connected with the two side plates, and a bottom plate pivotally connected with the rear frame and abutting the front panel Each of the two side plates has a rear end pivotally connected with the rear frame and has a front end pivotally connected with the front panel. The bottom plate has a rear end pivotally connected with the rear frame and has a front end abutting the front panel. The rear frame has two opposite ends each provided with at least one mounting bracket pivotally connected with the rear end of a respective one of the two side plates. The front panel has two opposite ends each provided with at least one mounting seat pivotally connected with the front end of a respective one of the two side plates. The front panel has a lower end provided with at least one stop piece abutting a bottom of the front end of the bottom plate. The rear frame has a side provided with at least one hanging hook. The rear frame has a lower end provided with at least one pivot sleeve pivotally connected with the rear end of the bottom plate. Each of the two side plates has a middle portion provided with at least one movable snaps
- The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a placement rack that can be folded when not in use.
- According to the primary advantage of the present invention, the placement rack can be folded to have a smaller volume to decrease the cost in packaging, storage and transportation of the placement rack.
- According to another advantage of the present invention, the rear frame has a side provided with at least one hanging hook so that a plurality of placement racks are connected by the hanging hooks.
- Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
- FIG 1 is a perspective view of a placement rack in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG 2 is an exploded perspective view of the placement rack as shown in FIG 1.
- FIG 3 is a locally perspective enlarged view of a front panel of the placement rack as shown in FIG 2.
- FIG 4 is a perspective folded view of the placement rack as shown in FIG 1.
- FIG 5 is a schematic operational view of the placement rack as shown in FIG 1 in use.
- FIG 6 is a perspective view of a placement rack in accordance with another preferred embodiment of the present invention.
- Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS 1-3, a
placement rack 1 in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises arear frame 11, twoside plates 14 pivotally connected with therear frame 11, afront panel 13 pivotally connected with the twoside plates 14, and abottom plate 12 pivotally connected with therear frame 11 and abutting thefront panel 13. - The two
side plates 14 are pivotally connected between therear frame 11 and thefront panel 13. Each of the twoside plates 14 has arear end 140 pivotally connected with therear frame 11 and has afront end 142 pivotally connected with thefront panel 13. - The
bottom plate 12 has arear end 120 pivotally connected with therear frame 11 and has afront end 121 abutting thefront panel 13. - The
rear frame 11 has twoopposite ends 110 each provided with at least onemounting bracket 111 pivotally connected with therear end 140 of a respective one of the twoside plates 14. Thus, therear end 140 of each of the twoside plates 14 is pivotable about therespective mounting bracket 111 of therear frame 11 so that each of the twoside plates 14 is pivotable relative to therear frame 11. Therear frame 11 has a side provided with at least onehanging hook 112. Therear frame 11 has alower end 113 provided with at least onepivot sleeve 114 pivotally connected with therear end 120 of thebottom plate 12. Thus, therear end 120 of thebottom plate 12 is pivotable about thepivot sleeve 114 of therear frame 11 so that each of thebottom plate 12 is pivotable relative to therear frame 11. - The
front panel 13 has twoopposite ends 130 each provided with at least onemounting seat 131 pivotally connected with thefront end 142 of a respective one of the twoside plates 14. Thus, thefront end 142 of each of the twoside plates 14 is pivotable about therespective mounting seat 131 of thefront panel 13 so that each of the twoside plates 14 is pivotable relative to thefront panel 13. Thefront panel 13 has alower end 133 provided with at least one stop piece 132 (FIG 3) abutting a bottom of thefront end 121 of thebottom plate 12. Thestop piece 132 of thefront panel 13 has a curved shape. Thefront end 121 of thebottom plate 12 is detachably placed on and supported by thestop piece 132 of thefront panel 13. - When a user wishes to fold the
placement rack 1, therear end 120 of thebottom plate 12 is pivoted about thepivot sleeve 114 of therear frame 11 so that thebottom plate 12 is pivoted upward to abut therear frame 11. Then, the twoside plates 14 are pivoted sideward relative to therear frame 11 to move thefront panel 13 toward therear frame 11 as shown in FIG 4 so that thefront panel 13 is moved to abut therear frame 11 so as to fold theplacement rack 1. - When the user wishes to expand the
placement rack 1, the twoside plates 14 are pivoted outward relative to therear frame 11 from the position as shown in FIG 4 to the position as shown in FIG 1 so as to move thefront panel 13 outward relative to therear frame 11 so that thefront panel 13 is moved to space from therear frame 11. Then, therear end 120 of thebottom plate 12 is pivoted about thepivot sleeve 114 of therear frame 11 so that thebottom plate 12 is pivoted downward relative to therear frame 11, and thefront end 121 of thebottom plate 12 is moved downward to abut thestop piece 132 of thefront panel 13 so as to expand theplacement rack 1 as shown in FIG 1. - As shown in FIG 5, a plurality of
placement racks 1 are connected by thehanging hooks 112. - As shown in FIG 6, each of the two
side plates 14 has a middle portion provided with at least onemovable snaps 141 so that each of the twoside plates 14 is folded easily and quickly. - Accordingly, the
placement rack 1 can be folded to have a smaller volume to decrease the cost in packaging, storage and transportation of theplacement rack 1. In addition, therear frame 11 has a side provided with at least onehanging hook 112 so that a plurality ofplacement racks 1 are connected by thehanging hooks 112. - Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.
