Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to umbrellas, and in particular to an umbrella with illumination function, in that a light emitting element is installed at an upper end of the umbrella cloth so as to provide illumination to the user and thus keep the safety of the user in walking. An inner side of the umbrella cloth is installed with a light reflecting unit for providing a rearview to the user.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • As a person walks in raining or dark, he (or she) generally holds a umbrella for rainproof. However, drivers can not clearly view the person holding the umbrella. As a result, some accidents occur due to this reason. Furthermore, as one holds the umbrella, no matter when he walks in daytime or dark area, no rearview is provided so that the user can not feel the status backsides. Thus, the user has no perfect safety in walking. The present invention serves to resolve above mentioned problem.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • Accordingly, the object of the present invention is to provide an umbrella with illumination function, in that a light emitting element is installed to an upper side of the umbrella cloth so as to provide illumination to the user and thus keep the safety of the user in walking. An inner side of the umbrella cloth is installed with a light reflecting unit for providing a rearview to the user.
  • To achieve above object, the present invention provides an umbrella with illumination function, comprising; an umbrella cloth; a transparent post installed at a top of the umbrella cloth; at least one light emitting element being installed in the transparent post; a hollow body extended from a central portion of the umbrella cloth; a handle installed with a power supply at a top end thereof and a switch for switching the power supply; a conductive wire connected between the switch and the light emitting element; the conductive wire being installed within the hollow body; and a light reflecting unit installed at an inner side of the umbrella cloth.
  • Furthermore, the light emitting element is one of light emitting elements and a bubble. The light reflecting unit is a light reflecting sheet. The light reflecting unit is light reflecting cloth. An inner side of the umbrella cloth is installed with sticky unit; the light reflecting unit is installed with another sticky unit which is stuck to the sticking unit so that the light reflecting unit can be adhered to the umbrella cloth.
  • The various objects and advantages of the present invention will be more readily understood from the following detailed description when read in conjunction with the appended drawing.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS:
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the present invention.
  • FIG. 2 is another perspective view of the present invention.
  • FIG. 3 is an assembled view of the present invention.
  • FIG. 4 is an exploded perspective view of the present invention.
  • FIG. 5 shows the use of the present invention.
  • FIG. 6 is a perspective view about another embodiment of the light reflecting unit of the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • In order that those skilled in the art can further understand the present invention, a description will be provided in the following in details. However, these descriptions and the appended drawings are only used to cause those skilled in the art to understand the objects, features, and characteristics of the present invention, but not to be used to confine the scope and spirit of the present invention defined in the appended claims.
  • With reference to FIGS. 1 and 2, the umbrella body 1 of the present invention includes the following elements.
  • An umbrella cloth 11 is included.
  • A top of the umbrella cloth 11 is installed with a transparent post 12. At least one light emitting element 13 is installed in the transparent post 12. In this the present invention, the light emitting element 13 may be light emitting elements or bubble.
  • A hollow body 18 extends from a central portion of the umbrella cloth 11.
  • A handle 14 is installed with a power supply 15 at a top end thereof and a switch 16 for switching the power supply 15. Referring to FIG. 3, a conductive wire 17 is connected between the switch 16 and the light emitting element 13. The conductive wire 17 is installed within the hollow body 18.
  • A light reflecting unit 19 is installed at an inner side of the umbrella cloth 11. In this embodiment, the light reflecting unit 19 is a light reflecting sheet, such as light reflecting cloth.
  • In use, as the switch 16 is turned on, the light emitting element 13 will light up to alert other people or drivers to keep attention to the user holding the umbrella. The light reflecting unit 19 can reflect light at the back side so that the user can take attention of the load state. As the umbrella is not used in raining day, the light emitting element 13 can light to provide the function of illumination. Thus the present invention has the function of keeping the safety of the user.
  • With reference to FIG. 4, an exploded perspective view of the power supply 15 of the present invention is illustrated. As illustrated in the drawing, the handle 14 is formed with a groove 151 and a cover 152 for covering the groove 151. A contact elastic sheet 153 is installed within the groove 151. The elastic sheet 153 is in contact with a battery 154 (such as a cell or an alkaline battery). The switch 16 is installed at an upper side of the groove 151 for actuating the battery 154.
  • See FIG. 5, the application of the present invention is illustrated. In use, the user holds the handle 14 of the umbrella body 1 for rainproof. In dark, the switch 16 is actuated so that the power supply 15 will supply power to the light emitting element 13 to light up. The transparent post 12 will cause the light to emit out. As the umbrella body 1 is not used, the umbrella is closed, while it can be used as a light illuminator. The light reflecting unit 19 at the inner side of the umbrella cloth 11 can reflect the state at the backside of the user so that the user can view the state from the light reflecting unit 19. Therefore, the user need not turn his (or her) head for seeing the rearview. The light reflecting unit 19 is as the rearview mirror of a car.
  • Referring to FIG. 6, an embodiment about the light reflecting unit 19 of the present invention is illustrated. As illustrated in the drawing, an inner side of the umbrella cloth 11 is installed with sticky unit 111. The light reflecting unit 19 is installed with another sticky unit 191 which is stuck to the sticking unit 111 so that the light reflecting unit 19 can be adhered to the umbrella cloth 11.
  • The present invention is thus described, it will be obvious that the same may be varied in many ways. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit and scope of the present invention, and all such modifications as would be obvious to one skilled in the art are intended to be included within the scope of the following claims.
