Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a card game and, more particularly, to a card game having multiple playing cards to provide an amusement to players.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- A conventional card game comprises a plurality of playing cards each having a front face provided with a marking module. The marking module of each of the playing cards includes a symbol and a character. The symbol of the marking module of each of the playing cards includes a spade, heart, diamond and club. The character of the marking module of each of the playing cards includes ace (A), two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, jack (J), queen (Q) and king (K). In such a manner, the front face of each of the playing cards is provided with a marking module which includes a symbol and a character, so that each of the playing cards represents a symbol (such as a spade, heart, diamond or club) and a character (such as ace, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, jack, queen or king). In practice, the card game comprises fifty-two playing cards for four players so that each of the four players has thirteen playing cards. Thus, the four players can use the card game to play standard card games, such as the poker, the blackjack (twenty-one point), the contract bridge and the like by provision of the symbols and the characters of the marking modules on the playing cards. However, the card game cannot be used to play a spelling or word-building game, thereby limiting the versatility of the card game.
- In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a card game, comprising a plurality of playing cards each having a front face provided with a marking module. The marking module of each of the playing cards includes a symbol, a character and a letter.
- Preferably, the letter of the marking module of each of the playing cards is a capital letter.
- Preferably, the letter of the marking module of each of the playing cards is a small letter.
- Preferably, the letter of the marking module of each of the playing cards is either a capital or a small letter.
- Preferably, the playing cards contain fifty-two capital or small letters, and each of the playing cards has a different letter.
- Preferably, the card game is used to play a spelling or word-building game by provision of the letters of the marking modules on the playing cards.
- Preferably, the card game is connected to an international network to play a spelling or word-building game in the international network by provision of the letters of the marking modules on the playing cards.
- The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a card game having spelling or word-building function.
- Another objective of the present invention is to provide a card game, wherein the card game can be used to play standard card games by provision of the symbols and the characters of the marking modules on the playing cards and can also be used to play a spelling or word-building game by provision of the letters of the marking modules on the playing cards so that the card game can satisfy the requirements of different players, thereby enhancing the amusement effect of the card game.
- A further objective of the present invention is to provide a card game, wherein the card game is connected to the international network so that the players can play the spelling or word-building game in the international network, thereby enhancing the versatility of the card game.
- Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
-
FIG. 1 is a front view of a playing card of a card game in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 2 is a rear view of the playing card of the card game as shown inFIG. 1 . -
FIG. 3 is a front view showing four playing cards of the card game in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention. - Referring to the drawings and initially to
FIGS. 1 and 2 , a card game in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a plurality ofplaying cards 1 each having a front face provided with amarking module 2 and a back face provided with at least onecommercial mark 3, such as a trademark, pattern, character and the like. - In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the card game comprises fifty-two
playing cards 1 and fifty-twomarking modules 2. - The
marking module 2 is printed on the front face of each of theplaying cards 1. - Preferably, the
marking module 2 is located at two opposite diagonal corners of the front face of each of theplaying cards 1. - The
marking module 2 of each of theplaying cards 1 includes asymbol 21, acharacter 22 and aletter 23. - The
symbol 21 of themarking module 2 of each of theplaying cards 1 includes a spade, heart, diamond and club. - The
character 22 of themarking module 2 of each of theplaying cards 1 includes ace (A), two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, jack (J), queen (Q) and king (K). - The
letter 23 of themarking module 2 of each of theplaying cards 1 includes a capital letter (from A to Z) and a small letter (from a to z). Thus, theplaying cards 1 contain fifty-two capital or small letters, and each of theplaying cards 1 has a different letter. - In such a manner, the front face of each of the
playing cards 1 is provided with amarking module 2 which includes asymbol 21, acharacter 22 and aletter 23, so that each of theplaying cards 1 represents a symbol 21 (such as a spade, heart, diamond or club), a character 22 (such as ace, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, jack, queen or king) and a letter 23 (such as a capital letter (from A to Z) or a small letter (from a to z)). - In practice, referring to

Thus, the four players can use the card game to play standard card games, such as the poker, the blackjack (twenty-one point), the contract bridge and the like by provision of thesymbols 21 and thecharacters 22 of themarking modules 2 on theplaying cards 1. - Alternatively, the four players can use the card game to play a spelling or word-building game by provision of the
letters 23 of themarking modules 2 on theplaying cards 1. For example, each of the four players has thirteenplaying cards 1, so that each of the four players can use theletters 23 of themarking modules 2 on the thirteenplaying cards 1 to spell a word. Thus, the player who can use theletters 23 to spell a word having the most letters will win the game. In addition, the game can regulate that all of theletters 23 in the word are capital letters or small letters or mixed capital and small letters to enhance the amusement effect. - Alternatively, the card game is connected to the international network so that the players can play the spelling or word-building game in the international network, thereby enhancing the versatility of the card game.
- Accordingly, the card game can be used to play standard card games by provision of the
symbols 21 and thecharacters 22 of themarking modules 2 on theplaying cards 1 and can also be used to play a spelling or word-building game by provision of theletters 23 of themarking modules 2 on theplaying cards 1 so that the card game can satisfy the requirements of different players, thereby enhancing the amusement effect of the card game. In addition, the card game is connected to the international network so that the players can play the spelling or word-building game in the international network, thereby enhancing the versatility of the card game. - Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
