  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIGS. 1 to 4 show the toilet bowl in the following views: lateral, front, perspective and plan, respectively, in a short version;
  • FIG. 5 shows a section of the toilet bowl;
  • FIG. 6 shows a detail of the toilet bowl; and
  • FIG. 7 shows an elongated version of the present toilet bowl.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The invention will be described for the purposes of illustration only in connection with certain embodiments; however, it is to be understood that other objects and advantages of the present invention will be made apparent by the following description of the drawings according to the present invention. While a preferred embodiment is disclosed, this is not intended to be limiting. Rather, the general principles set forth herein are considered to be merely illustrative of the scope of the present invention and it is to be further understood that numerous changes may be made without straying from the scope of the present invention.
  • The toilet bowl object of the present invention comprises the usual parts of a conventional toilet bowl, namely: a toilet bowl whose bottom defines a pit provided to receive waste; a siphon deriving from the pit and connected to the sewer; a system for flushing the toilet bowl inner wall; supply water piping for said system and pit, formed inside the toilet bowl body; a support base; and an upper, rear discharge box.
  • Among such known parts, the present toilet provides an improvement over traditional toilet bowls in that it has no glued distribution ring, which in the present invention is replaced by a system for flushing the inner wall of the toilet bowl primarily formed by: an upper rear nozzle for supplying cleaning water; and two equal and symmetrical steps extending from said nozzle which lead and direct the water poured through its side holes up to the front region of the toilet bowl, from which the water flows and cleans the side regions of the toilet bowl inner wall; said nozzle further featuring front holes from which the water that cleans the rear region of the toilet bowl inner surface flows.
  • The piping inside the toilet bowl comprises: a rear upper intake duct where the discharge box is coupled, which supplies the washing nozzle; and a duct for supplying the pit formed in the toilet body; two horizontal duct sections located in between the water supply and flushing system and the free upper edge of the toilet bowl. The pit supply water duct is further formed by a vertical front section deriving from said side horizontal sections and provided with a washing hole situated in the bottom shoulder and the lower end of said vertical duct section opens in the front region of the pit. The water poured through the washing hole flushes the front region of the toilet bowl inner surface and the water injected through the lower end of said vertical duct section in cooperation with the enameled siphon provides siphoning which removes the waste.
  • This construction of the toilet bowl, particularly its inner wall flushing system, enables it to be made as a single piece. Constructing the toilet bowl as a single piece enables it to be more resistant to vertical force than standard toilet bowls.
  • Further, as the inner wall flushing system, the inner supply water piping and siphon of the present toilet bowl work together, another advantage of the invention is that the toilet bowl discharge cycle has a substantially lower consumption of water than that of the other toilet bowls whose consumption is about 6.8 L of water per discharge. The present toilet bowl meets the requirements of specific ABNT (Brazilian National Standards Organization) standards, and ad dresses the efforts being made to decrease the consumption of water in toilet bowl discharge cycles.
  • According to what is shown in the drawings, the improved toilet bowl of the present invention has a coupled discharge box that comprises: a toilet bowl 1 whose bottom defines a pit 2 provided to receive the waste; a rear siphon 10 deriving from the pit and connected to the sewer; a system 20 for flushing the inner wall of toilet bowl 1; supply water piping 30 formed inside the toilet bowl body; a support base 40; and an upper, rear discharge box 50. According to the present invention, the system 20 for flushing the inner wall, of the toilet bowl comprises: a central rear upper nozzle 21 having side holes 22 and central holes 23 for supplying cleaning water for both inner sides of the toilet bowl; and two horizontal, equal and symmetrical steps 24 formed in the both inner sides of the toilet bowl inner surface extending from said nozzle 21 up to its front region; said steps 24 leading and directing the water flushed through the respective side holes 22 of nozzle 21 and from which the water flows and cleans the side regions of the toilet bowl inner wall.
  • The supply water piping 30 is essentially formed: by a rear, upper intake duct 31 having an upper opening 32, where the discharge box 50 exit is coupled, and which supplies the washing nozzle 21 of the system 20 for flushing the toilet bowl inner wall; and duct for supplying the pit formed by: two horizontal, side, upper, symmetrical duct sections 33 deriving from upper rear intake duct 31 and located in zones between steps 24 of the system 20 for flushing the toilet bowl inner wall and its free upper edge; said pit supply duct is further formed by a vertical front section 34 whose upper end derives from the referred to side horizontal sections 33, an intermediate section of said vertical duct section having a flushing hole 35 situated in the bottom of shoulder 36 located below steps 24 of the system 20 for flushing the toilet bowl inner wall and the inner end 37 of said front vertical duct section 34 opens in the front region of the pit 2 and injects into it the water jet required for removing the waste.
  • The assembly formed by: toilet bowl 1 wherein the bottom of said toilet bowl defines a pit 2; a siphon 10; a system 20 for flushing the toilet bowl inner wall; a water feeding piping 30; and a base 40 which in a preferred embodiment is manufactured as a single piece.
  • The discharge box 50 is partly segregated from toilet bowl 1 and mounted therein and features an inner discharge mechanism (not shown) driven by a button 51 situated in the lid or wail of discharge box 50.
  • Therefore, when the discharge is activated by means of button 51, the water flowing out of discharge box 50 enters into the upper rear intake duct 31 of toilet bowl 1. Part of the water is poured through side holes 22 and part through front holes 23 of nozzle 21, such that the water poured through side holes 22 is led and directed by steps 24 along the inner surfaces of the side walls of toilet bowl 1 towards the front region of the toilet bowl, along which said water runs downwards from said steps 24 flushing the side regions of the inner surface of toilet bowl 1. At the same time, the front holes 23 of the nozzle 21 pour the water which flushes the rear region of the inner surface of toilet bowl 1.
  • Simultaneously, most of the water circulates the referred to upper rear intake duct 31 towards the side, horizontal, upper duct sections 33 and the front vertical duct section 34, such that its inner end injects water into pit 2 and siphon 10 causes siphoning, removing the waste. The washing hole 35 pours the water which flushes the front region of the inner surface of toilet bowl 1.
  • According to the above-mentioned basic construction, the improved toilet bowl of the present invention may feature changes in materials, dimensions, construction details and/or functional configuration without departing from the scope of protection requested.
  • According to the foregoing, the present toilet bowl may be either a traditionally round design, with a shorter stature, according to the attached FIGS. 1 to 4 or elongated as per FIG. 7.
