Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention is related to a fan device, and more particular to a fan device that can be arranged on a housing of an electronic device to facilitate the heat dissipation of the electronic device.
- 2. Description of Related Art
- Since the housing of a common electronic device (such as a computer, a power supply or the like) is provided with circuit boards and electronic elements, the operation of the electronic elements (such as a chip, an integrated circuit or the like) on the circuit board within the housing will generate heat, thus increasing the temperature within the housing of the electronic device. If the temperature in the housing exceeds an upper limit within which each electronic element can operate normally, the electronic elements may fail and cause the breakdown of the electronic device. Thus, the housing of the electronic device is further provided with a fan for heat dissipation. In this way, when the electronic device operates, the hot air generated by the electronic elements within the housing of the electronic device will be exhausted outside the housing via a convection effect caused by the fan.
- A conventional fan has a frame and a blade assembly pivotally provided in the frame. The fan is often mounted to the housing of the electronic device securely by means of screws. The outside of the fan is provided with a protective net (such as a metallic protective net), thereby increasing the safety in use.
- The frame of the above fan is usually made of plastic materials and has a certain volume, which increases material costs. Further, the fan and the protective net are secured to the housing of the electronic device, and thus are inconvenient to detach therefrom.
- Consequently, because of the above technical defects, the inventor keeps on carving unflaggingly through wholehearted experience and research to develop the present invention, which can effectively improve the defects described above.
- The object of the present invention is to provide a fan device that can reduce the material cost. Further, when being mounted on a housing of an electronic device, the present invention can be assembled or disassembled very easily.
- For achieving the object described above, the present invention provides a fan device, which includes: a protective net having a mounting plate; and a fan comprising a base, a coil assembly, a blade assembly and a permanent magnet. The base is fixed on the mounting plate of the protective net. The coil assembly is provided on the base. The blade assembly is provided rotatably on the base. The permanent magnet is provided in the blade assembly adjacent to the coil assembly.
- The present invention has advantageous effects as follows. Since the fan is mounted on the protective net, a frame can be omitted, and in turn the material cost can be reduced. Further, the fan and the protective net are combined with each other to form a unit, so that they can be disassembled very easily when being mounted on the housing of the electronic device.
- Thus, it is not necessary to provide a frame. Therefore, when the blade assembly rotates, the noise can be reduced while the amount of air generated can be increased. In addition, the whole appearance of the fan device is more aesthetic
- In order to further understand the characteristics and technical contents of the present invention, a detailed description is made with reference to the accompanying drawings. However, it should be understood that the drawings are illustrative only but not used to limit the present invention thereto.

In the present embodiment, the outer edge of thenet body 11 of theprotective net 1 extends upwardly to form a fence-like guard 14. Theguard 14 has a plurality ofrods 141 surrounding thefan 2, thereby protecting outside objects from contacting thefan 2 and increasing the safety in use. - Please refer to
FIGS. 8 and 9 , which show a fourth embodiment of the fan device of the present invention. In the present embodiment, the outer edge of thenet body 11 of theprotective net 1 extends upwardly to form an air-guidingdevice 15. The air-guidingdevice 15 has a plurality of air-guidingpieces 151 surrounding thefan 2, thereby preventing foreign objects from contacting thefan 2 and increasing the safety in use. In addition, the air-guidingpieces 151 have an air-guiding effect. - In the present invention, since the
fan 2 is connected to theprotective net 1 with thefan 2 being disposed on theprotective net 1, the frame provided in the conventional fan can be omitted, and in turn the material cost can be reduced. Further, thefan 2 and theprotective net 1 are combined with each other to form a unit, so that they can be disassembled very easily when being mounted on the housing of the electronic device. Specifically speaking, a user can assemble or disassemble the fan device completely simply by combining theprotective net 1 with the housing of the electronic device or detaching the protective net 1 from the housing of the electronic device. - Furthermore, it is not necessary to provide a frame. Thus, when the
blade assembly 25 rotates, the noise is reduced while the amount of air generated can be increased. In addition, the whole appearance of the fan device is more aesthetic - While the invention has been described in terms of what is presently considered to be the most practical and preferred embodiments, it is to be understood that the invention needs not be limited to the disclosed embodiment. On the contrary, it is intended to cover various modifications and similar arrangements included within the spirit and scope of the appended claims which are to be accorded with the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and similar structures.
