Description
- 1. Field of Invention
- The present invention relates to a clothes-hanging device.
- 2. Related Prior Art
- Disclosed in Taiwanese Patent Publication No. 589982 is a
clothes rack 10 that includes abase 14, fourtelescopic posts 13 installed on thebase 14, a frontupper beam 11 installed on two of thetelescopic posts 13, a rearupper beam 12 installed on the remaining two of thetelescopic posts 13, twoconnectors 20 each for interconnecting two of thetelescopic posts 13, a front lower beam 15 installed on theconnectors 20 and a rear lower beam 16 installed on theconnectors 20. Theconnectors 20 each include twosockets 212 directed toward thesockets 212 of theother connector 20. Thesockets 212 receive the ends of the lower beams 15 and 16. Clothes can be hung on hangers, and the hangers can be hung on thebeams sockets 212 since the former are only fit in the latter. Secondly, once the ends of the lower beams 15 and 16 are detached from thesockets 212, clothes might be contaminated and damaged by means of thesockets 212 since the latter extend for a long distance. Thirdly, long clothes such as dresses, overcoats and trousers cannot be hung on the lower beams 15 and 16. Long clothes cannot be hung on theupper beams connectors 20. It is troublesome to detach the lower beams 15 and 16 from theconnectors 20 since theupper beams telescopic posts 13, i.e., theclothes rack 10 must be dismantled almost completely. - The present invention is therefore intended to obviate or at least alleviate the problems encountered in prior art.
- According to the present invention, a clothes-hanging device includes a rack and a supplementary beam assembly. The rack includes a base, two posts installed on the base and a major beam installed on the posts. The supplementary beam assembly includes two brackets installed on the posts, a supplementary beam and two anchors connected to the supplementary beam and detachably installed on the brackets.
- An advantage of the clothes-hanging device according to the present invention is that it can easily be modified to hang long clothes since the supplementary beam can easily be detached from the brackets.
- An advantage of the clothes-hanging device according to the present invention is that the supplementary beam can firmly support clothes since the supplementary beam is firmly installed on the brackets.
- Still an advantage of the clothes-hanging device according to the present invention is that the possibility that the brackets contaminate clothes is low because they are small.
- Other advantages and features of the present invention will become apparent from the following description referring to the drawings.
- The present invention will be described through detailed illustration of two embodiments referring to the drawings.
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of clothes-hanging device according to the first embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 2 is an exploded view of the clothes-handing device shown inFIG. 1 . -
FIG. 3 is an enlarged partial view of the clothes-hanging device shown inFIG. 2 . -
FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the clothes-hanging device shown inFIG. 3 . -
FIG. 5 is a perspective view of a plurality of hangers hung on the clothes-hanging device shown inFIG. 1 . -
FIG. 6 is an enlarged partial view of a clothes-hanging device according to the second embodiment. - Referring to
FIG. 1 , there is shown a clothes-hanging device according to a first embodiment of the present invention. The clothes-hanging device includes arack 10 and asupplementary beam assembly 20 installed on therack 10. - The
rack 10 includes abase 11, fourcasters 111 installed beneath thebase 11, two telescopic posts installed on thebase 11 and abeam 14 installed on the telescopic posts. Each of the telescopic posts consists of alower tube 12 and anupper tube 13. Thelower tubes 12 are installed on thebase 11. Thebeam 14 is installed on theupper tubes 13 so that twoends 141 of thebeam 14 extend beyond theupper tubes 13 for supporting as many hangers (FIG. 5 ) as possible. - Referring to
FIGS. 2 through 4 , thesupplementary beam assembly 20 includes twobrackets 21, twoanchors 22 and asupplementary beam 23. Thebrackets 21 are installed on thelower tubes 13. Theanchors 22 are connected to thesupplementary beam 23. Theanchors 22 are detachably installed on thebrackets 21. - Each of the
brackets 21 includes asleeve 219 and apocket 214 formed on thesleeve 219. Thesleeve 219 defines alarge aperture 211 and asmall aperture 212 that is in communication with thelarge aperture 211. Thus, theshoulder 213 is formed between thelarge aperture 211 and thesmall aperture 212. Thelarge aperture 211 receives related one of thelower tubes 12 so that theshoulder 213 rests on the upper end of the relatedlower tube 12. - The
pocket 214 includes aspace 215 defined therein and a U-shaped shackle formed thereon for partially shielding thespace 215. The U-shaped shackle includes afirst member 216, asecond member 217 and athird member 218 formed between thefirst member 216 and thesecond member 217. - Each of the
anchors 22 includes acircular head 221 at an end, aneck 222 near thecircular head 221 and aninsert 223 at an opposite end. The diameter of thecircular head 221 is larger than that of theneck 222. Theinserts 223 of theanchors 22 are fit in twoends 231 of thesupplementary beam 23. To this end, each of theinserts 223 is formed with a plurality ofribs 226. As thecircular heads 221 of theanchors 22 are positioned in thepockets 214 of thebrackets 21, thenecks 222 of theanchors 22 are positioned in the shackles of thebrackets 21. Thesupplementary beam 23 can rotate. - Referring to
FIG. 5 , to hang a lot of clothes, a plurality of hangers is hung on thebeam 14, and another plurality of hangers is hung on thesupplementary beam 23. To hang long clothes, thesupplementary beam 23 can easily be detached from thebrackets 21. - Since there is no need to pull the
inserts 223 of theanchors 22 from theends 231 of thesupplementary beam 23, the former are fit in the latter very tightly. To this end, the length of theinserts 223 is large, the number of theribs 226 of theinserts 223 is large, and the diameter of theribs 226 of theinserts 223 matches the internal diameter of theends 231 of thesupplementary beam 23. - The clothes-hanging device of the present invention exhibits several advantages. Firstly, it can easily be modified to hang long clothes because the
supplementary beam 23 can easily be detached from thebrackets 21. Secondly, thesupplementary beam 23 can firmly support clothes since thesupplementary beam 23 is firmly installed on thebrackets 21 as thenecks 222 of theanchors 22 are restrained in the shackles of thebrackets 21. Thirdly, the possibility that thebrackets 21 contaminate clothes is low as they are small. - Referring to
FIG. 6 , shown is a clothes-hanging device according to a second embodiment of the present invention. The second embodiment is identical to the first embodiment except that each of theanchors 22 includes asquare head 224 instead of thecircular head 221. As the square heads 224 of theanchors 22 are positioned in thepockets 214 of thebrackets 21, thesupplementary beam 23 cannot rotate. - The present invention has been described through the illustration of the embodiments. Those skilled in the art can derive variations from the embodiments without departing from the scope of the present invention. Therefore, the embodiments shall not limit the scope of the present invention defined in the claims.
