Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a wrist cover, and more particularly to a wrist cover for carrying a cellular phone conveniently.
- 2. Description of Related Art
- Cellular phones are widely used in daily life of most of people. A phone cover is provided to hold a cellular phone inside and is always hung on the neck of a user or a belt for conveniently carrying the cellular phone and to keep the cellular phone from damage.
- However, when a user takes exercise, such as jogging, bicycle-riding or rock climbing, the conventional phone cover cannot be hung on the user with a sportswear on and is inconvenient in use.
- To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention tends to provide a wrist cover for carrying a cellular phone mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.
- The main objective of the invention is to provide a wrist cover for carrying a cellular phone and convenient in use. The wrist cover has a body, a phone holder and an adjusting device. The body has a ventilating layer mounted on one side of the body and two wrist wings respectively formed on and extending from two edges near the bottom of the body. The phone holder is attached to the body and has a covering sheet and a connecting tab. The covering sheet is attached to the ventilating layer and defines a holding space between the covering sheet and the ventilating layer and an opening defined between the covering sheet and the ventilating layer and communicating with the holding space. A first fastener is mounted on the covering sheet. The connecting tab is formed on and extends from the top of the body to partially close the opening and has a second fastener detachably connected with the first fastener on the covering sheet. The adjusting device is mounted on the body and has a connection strap and an adjusting strap. The connection strap is connected to one of the wrist wings, and the adjusting strap is connected to the other wrist wing and is detachably connected with the connection strap.
- Other objects, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a wrist cover in accordance with the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is a front view of the wrist cover inFIG. 1 in an expanded condition; -
FIG. 3 is a rear view of the wrist cover inFIG. 1 in an expanded condition; - FIGS. 4 to 6 are operational side views of the wrist cover in
FIG. 1 showing that the process of attaching the wrist cover onto a wrist of a user; -
FIG. 7 is a perspective view of the wrist cover inFIG. 1 with a cellular phone contained therein; -
FIG. 8 is an operational side view of the wrist cover with the cellular phone inFIG. 7 showing that the wrist cover is attached onto the wrist of the user; and -
FIG. 9 is another operational side view of the wrist cover with the cellular phone inFIG. 7 showing that the wrist cover is attached onto an arm of the user. - With reference to FIGS. 1 to 3, a wrist cover for carrying a cellular phone in accordance with the present invention comprises a body (10), a phone holder (20), an adjusting device (30) and a rim cloth (40). The body (10) is made of resilient material, such as cloth or woven material, preferably material for diving suit, and has a ventilating layer (12) and non-slipping layer (11) mounted respectively on two opposite sides of the body. The ventilating layer (12) has multiple vents (121) defined in the ventilating layer (12). Two wrist wings (13) are respectively formed on and extend from two edges near the bottom of the body (10), and each wrist wing (13) has a periphery.
- The phone holder (20) is attached to the body (10) and comprises a covering sheet (21) and a connecting tab (22). The covering sheet (21) is attached to the ventilating layer (12) and defines a holding space (211) between the covering sheet (21) and the ventilating layer (12). An opening (212) is defined between the covering sheet (21) and the ventilating layer (12) and communicates with the holding space (211). In a preferred embodiment, the opening (212) is defined at a position corresponding to the top of the body (10) and separates away from the edges on which the wrist wings (13) are formed. A first fastener (213) is mounted on the covering sheet (21).
- The connecting tab (22) is formed on and extends from the top of the body (10) and has a periphery and a second fastener (221) detachably connected with the first fastener (213) on the covering sheet (21). With the connection between the first and second fasteners (213,221), the connecting tab (22) partially closes the opening (212). In a preferred embodiment, the first and the second fasteners (213,221) on the covering sheet (21) and the connecting tab (22) are male and female fasteners of an adhesive strap, such as Velcro to allow the first and second fasteners (213,221) detachably connecting with each other.
- The adjusting device (30) is mounted on the body (10) and comprises a connection strap (31) and an adjusting strap (32). The connection strap (31) is connected to one of the wrist wings (13), and the adjusting strap (32) is connected to the other wrist wing (13) and is detachably connected with the connection strap (31). The connection strap (31) has a loop (311) mounted on one end of the connecting strap (31). The adjusting strap (32) has a free end extending through the loop (311) on the connection strap (31) and a T-shaped positioning tab (321) mounted on the free end. The T-shaped positioning tab (321) engages with the loop (311) and keeps the adjusting strap (32) from escaping from the loop (311) on the connection strap (31). In addition, the adjusting strap (32) further has an adhesive strap (32), such as Velcro mounted on the adjusting strap (32) at a side opposite to the corresponding wrist wing (13).
- The rim cloth (40) is mounted around peripheries of the body (10), the wrist wings (13) and the connecting tab (22) to securely connect the phone holder (20) with the body (10). In a preferred embodiment, the rim cloth (40) is made of a resilient material, such as LYCRA containing 80% NYLON and 20% SPANDEN.
- With reference to FIGS. 4 to 6, to attach the wrist cover onto a wrist of a user, the adhesive strap (322) is disengaged from a connection condition to expand the body (10) and the wrist wings (13). Thus, the palm of the user can pass through the space defined between the non-slipping layer (11) and the wrist wings (13) to make the wrist of the user corresponding to and abutting with the non-slipping layer (11). With pulling the free end of the adjusting strap (32), the non-slipping layer (11) and the wrist wings (13) tightly contact with the wrist of the user. After connecting the adhesive strap (322), the wrist cover is securely attached to the wrist of the user.
- With reference to
FIGS. 1, 2 and 7, after detaching the second fastener (221) from the first fastener (213), the opening (212) is opened and a cellular phone can be put into the holding space (211) between the body (10) and the covering sheet (21). After connecting the first and second fasteners (213,221), the connecting tab (22) partially closes the opening (212) and the cellular phone is securely held in and kept from escaping from the holding space (211). - With further reference to
FIG. 8 , the user can carry a cellular phone on the wrist with the wrist cover, so the cellular phone can be carried conveniently even when the user takes exercise. Such that, the wrist cover is convenient and easy in use. In addition, the wrist cover can be attached to different parts of the user, such as a leg or an arm as shown inFIG. 9 , the wrist cover in accordance with the present invention is versatile in use. - Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in detail, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
