Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE PRESENT INVENTION
  • 1. Field of Invention
  • The present invention relates to a water faucet, and more particularly, relates to a water faucet equipped with an adjustable dispenser for facilitating user accessible to the water with a convenient manner.
  • 2. Description of Related Arts
  • Commonly, a water faucet, also known as water tap, is a kind mechanism adapted to release water or liquid from a container or any liquid supplying means. Not surprisingly, all baths, sinks, basins, tubs, as well as water fountains are provided with water faucet for facilitating people release water in an easy manner. On the other hand, the water faucet could be designed with single or complex structure to manage water flowing into separate tube, such as hot and cold faucet.
  • A conventional water faucet comprises a faucet body in water communication with a water supply line, wherein the faucet body has a water inlet permitting water flowing into the faucet body and a water outlet for discharging the water, a valve core is received within the faucet body, and an actuator moveably engaged with the valve core for managing a water releasing process. Ordinarily, the actuator could be embodied as a handle moves up and down to control the amount of water flow and from side to side to control the temperature of the water achieved by mixing the hot and cold water together. Or otherwise, the actuator could be merely applied as a snob rotatably coupled to the valve core for managing the water flow.
  • However, the water outlets of the faucets are empodied as a spigot or a pipe unexeceptionally downwardly orientated in most cases. Accordingly, such downwardly extended design not only provide the water sink, basins with aethetic outlooking, but also smooth out the water flow process thus preventing any water splash from happening.
  • Unfortunately, such downwardly extended design also result some side effects. For example, in case a user wish to ferry water from the water sink faucet with a container, while the container has a bigger size which is not accomodated by the water sink volume. He or she would have to tilt the container allowin the edge slip beneath the spigot to get the water. It would be troublesome for the users. On the other hand, it is hard to imagine a thirty person try to drink water from such downwardly orientated water pipe of a water sink. It is desirable to develop a water faucet having an angle adjustable water outlet.
  • SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENTION
  • A primary object of the present invention is to provide a water faucet having an angle adjustable dispenser, such that a user is able to selectively and conveniently adjust the dispenser to an ultimate serviceable angle.
  • Another object of the present invention is to provide a water faucet having an angle adjustable dispenser, wherein the mechanism of the adjustable dispenser is simple and reliable, such that when the dispenser is rotated in different orientations, the angle position of the dispenser could be maintained in position.
  • Another object of the present invention is to provide a water faucet having an angle adjustable dispenser, wherein an overall aesthetic outlook of the water faucet would not be damaged and the function of the water faucet would be well maintained.
  • Another object of the present invention is to provide a water faucet having an angle adjustable dispenser, wherein no complicated structure or expensive elements would be required to achieve above mentioned objects.
  • Accordingly, to achieve the above mentioned objects, the present invention provides a water faucet, comprising:
  • a faucet body having a water inlet and a water outlet;
  • a valve core is received within the faucet body;
  • an actuator moveably engaged with the valve core for managing a water flow from the water inlet to the water outlet; and
  • a water spigot rotatably coupled to the water outlet for adjusting a water releasing orientation, wherein the water spigot has a water receiving port for allowing the flow poured into the water spigot, and a water releasing port which is perpendicularly orientated with respect to the water receiving port in such a manner when the water spigot is rotated with respect to the faucet body, the water flow is released from the water releasing port with different angle thus enabling the water faucet serviceable in different orientation.
  • These and other objectives, features, and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description, the accompanying drawings, and the appended claims.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a water faucet according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIG. 2 is a sectional view of the above water faucet according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Referring to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, a water faucet according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention is illustrated. The water faucet 1 comprises a faucet body 10 having a water inlet 11 and a water outlet 12, a valve core 20 received within the faucet body 10, and an actuator 30 moveably engaged with the valve core 20 for managing a water flow from the water inlet 11 to the water outlet 12.
  • And more importantly, the water faucet of the present invention further comprises a water spigot 40 rotatably coupled to the faucet body 10 for adjusting a water releasing orientation, wherein the water spigot 40 has a water receiving port 41 communicated with the water outlet 12 for allowing the flow poured into the water spigot 40, and a water releasing port 42 which is perpendicularly orientated with respect to the water receiving port 41 in such a manner when the water spigot 40 is rotated with respect to the faucet body 10, the water flow is released from the water releasing port 42 with different discharging angle thus enabling the water faucet 1 serviceable in different orientation.
  • This to say, the water faucet prepared according to the present invention has a similar overall structure in comparison with conventional water faucet. The valve core 20 is received within the faucet body for managing a water flow from the water inlet 11 to water outlet 12. And the actuator 30 is engaged with the valve core 20 for shifting the valve core 20 between a water flowing position and a water blocking position. When the valve core 20 is shifted to the water flowing position, water is allowed flowing from the water inlet 11 to the water outlet 12. On the other hand, when the valve core 20 is shifted to the water blocking position, the water is off-limited to the water outlet 12.
  • According to the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the water spigot 40 is rotatably coupled to the faucet body 10 for extending the water outlet 12 into a desirable position to be friendly serviceable. The water spigot 40 has a water receiving port 41 which is preferably threaded, or otherwise loosely sleeved onto the water outlet 12 with a water tight manner. In other words, both of the water releasing port 42 of the water spigot 40 and the water outlet 12 are applied as round shape having correspondingly matched diameters, such that the water spigot 40 is capable of being rotated with respect to the faucet body 10 when the water releasing port 42 is coupled to the water outlet 12.
  • Putting in another way, the water spigot 40 is embodied as a water dispenser rotatably extended from the faucet body 10. As a result, when the valve core 20 is shifted to the water flowing position, the flow out is released from the water outlet will be poured into the spigot to discharge. Since the water spigot 40 is rotatable with respect to the faucet body, the water discharging angle of the water flow could be selectively chosen and adjusted according to user's mind.
  • Preferably, the water releasing port 42 is perpendicularly orientated with respect to the water receiving port 41, such that when the water spigot 40 is rotated, the water flow could be discharged with a 360° degree.
  • As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the water faucet 1 is a conventional water faucet having an elongated water outlet integrally extended from the faucet body 10. The actuator 30 is embodied as a lever being push up and down for activating the valve core 20 received in the faucet body 10 into function. The water spigot 40 is L-shaped for ensuring the water releasing port 42 being perpendicularly orientated with the water receiving port 41.
  • That is to say, for conventional water faucet, the water flow would be released downwardly due to the fact of the gravity. However, according to the present invention, the water flow is poured into the water spigot 40 having an angle adjustable water releasing port 42, so that a user is able to adjust the water releasing orientation according to his or her mind.
  • One skilled in the art will understand that the embodiment of the present invention as shown in the drawings and described above is exemplary only and not intended to be limiting.
  • It will thus be seen that the objects of the present invention have been fully and effectively accomplished.
