Abstract
A flat and flexible 360 degree rubber contraption comprised of raised U-shaped trapping posts. There will be three rows of these posts that will completely surround the edge of a drain passage to cease the accumulation of hair and other debris from entering a drainage entry. The hair clogger stopper is placed around the circumference of a drain opening prior to the flow of waste water within a bathroom basin such as a sink, shower, or bathtub. This device is simple, safe, durable, easy to use, and will aid in eliminating the problem of having clogged drains.

- The hair clogger stopper brings forth an improvement to end a common household dilemma of having clogged drains due to hair and other debris in a bathroom environment. The new invention is conceived to trap hair and other debris to maintain a free flowing water system in any bathroom utility such as a sink, shower, or bathtub. The accumulation of these materials may be easily discarded after use of the hair clogger stopper. The drain entrance will be protected by a flat and flexible 360 degree circle of a rubberized base and U-shaped trapping posts which will trap and hold the debris until being discarded. This invention may be utilized with different drain sizes, pop-up stoppers, and strainers.
- Prior inventions determine various materials and attachments that were brought forth in the aid of this invention.
- The idea of this invention is to create a reusable, safe, durable, and easy to use hair and debris stopper. This tool will trap unwanted hair and debris in a bathtub, shower, and sink utilizing U-shaped trapping posts resting on a 360 degree base, these posts will serve as a barrier and collection site before the debris has a chance to enter a drain entrance. This invention will prevent drain accumulation of hair and debris which causes clogs over a prolonged period of waste exposure.
- This invention will serve as a 360 degree drain protection system in which will serve as an effortless way in protecting and preserving the pipe system in any household or similar environment.
- The hair clogger stopper is a reusable 100 percent rubberized product that can be easily removed, cleaned, and remounted from a bathtub, shower, or sink. This invention comes in different sizes and diameters that can be utilized with a strainer or pop up stopper within the drain entrance.

FIG. 1 throughFIG. 5 of the drawings section. -
FIG. 1 represents the hair clogger stopper from a top view. The top view displays the 360degree base 1, U-shapedtrapping posts 2, and the slightly sloped edges orlips 3. The base will be wide enough to accommodate the slightly sloped edges and three rows of U-shaped trapping posts that are off-set and separated enough to trap hair and other debris. The openings of the trapper posts are facing the outer portion of the invention to collect the waste in the water. -
FIG. 2 refers to the hair clogger stopper from a bottom view. This view displays thesuction cups 4 that will allow the stopper to rest firmly on any bathroom utility, also providing support for the whole invention. -
FIG. 3 displays an overhead view of the structure titled the base. Thisbase 1 is a flat 360 degree portion of rubber with the center removed to allow water flow into a drain. The base'sedges 3 are shaped slightly downward to create a lip that ensures the waste water will flow over the hair clogger stopper. Another vital function of the base is to add support and stability to the U-shapedtrapping posts 2. -
FIG. 4 of the stopper visually describes the U-shapedtrapping posts 2 from a plan overhead view. These trapping posts are set up in three offset rows that are placed 360 degrees on top of the base. They will be large and numerous enough to be spaced accordingly to trap and hold waste material before it enters the drain. The three rows of stoppers will ensure that the debris will be caught within the hair clogger stopper. These traps will have to be large enough to ease the discarding of the waste when the invention is being cleaned after use. -
FIG. 5 pertains to the roundshaped suction cups 4 that will hold the invention in place while the flow of water is engulfing it. These rubber cups will be large and numerous enough to give the hair clogger stopper a tight seal against any bathroom utility such as a shower, sink, or tub. This tight seal will ensure the passage of waste water and debris to pass over the edge of the base allowing the trapping posts to perform their function. - The hair clogger stopper will be made of a 100 percent rubberized material that is safe, durable, and easy to use. There will be different sizes of this device to accommodate the multiple sizes of drainage pipes. This tool will provide sufficient 360 degree protection even when there is a strainer or stopper within the drain passage.
Claims (5)
