Abstract
A desktop support for LCD mainly consists of a fixture module and an inclined support module. The fixture module is composed of two axles directly molded from the back of LCD and two sleeves on top of the base. The inclined support module consists of a rotary frame on the bottom back of LCD and a set of adjustable fixture at base bottom, against which the frame rod sits by gravity. Through this, the two axles of the fixture module are placed in the sleeves. Thus, LCD sits vertically against one side of the base by gravity and rotation. The frame rod can match the adjustable fixture to adjust the LCD angle. The axle, the frame and the adjustable fixture form a triangle support. After angle adjustment, LCD can still stand up firmly.
Description
- The invention is related to a desktop LCD support. Especially, it is a simple support frame with adjustable angle of elevation.
- For the current desktop LCD support, as in
FIG. 1 , it is composed of aconnector 2′ attached to LCD back and abase 3′ on desk. At the connection of theconnector 2′ and thebase 3′, there is a connectingaxle 21′ and apivot module 4′ for connection, positioning and angle adjustment. Thepivot module 4′ consists of twometal washers 41′ with arubber gasket 42′ in between and an elastic gasket 43′ with anut 44′ to lock at both ends of the connectingaxle 21′.Such pivot module 4′ not only has many components, inconvenient for assembly, but also the shortcoming that after a long term of use for holding and positioning thepivot module 4′ will lose its angle adjustment function due to swinging and rotation. Its applicability is not practically satisfactory. - The invention aimed at the practical need by LCD user to improve the traditional shortcoming. A desktop LCD support has been developed to meet industrial demand.
-
- The main objective for the invention is to provide a desktop LCD support, which uses a simple frame module with easy assembly characteristics. The simple fixture module and simple inclined frame provide angle adjustment and firm positioning. Such a support with a frame and angle adjustment in an integrated structure can facilitate assembly, reduce manufacturing cost and increase product competitiveness.

FIG. 1 is the illustration for the components of traditional desktop LCD support. -
FIG. 2 is the illustration for the components of the desktop LCD support in the present invention. -
FIG. 3 is the illustration for using thin computer as support base in the present invention. -
FIG. 4 is the illustration for using molded plate as support base in the present invention. -
FIG. 5 is the illustration for an example for the desktop LCD support assembled in the present invention. -
FIG. 6 is the illustration for an example for the desktop LCD support adjusted for inclined angle in the present invention. - Please refer to
FIG. 2 andFIG. 3 . The desktop LCD support mainly comprises afixture module 2 and aninclined support module 3. Thefixture module 2 consists of twoaxles 21 directly attached toLCD 1 back and twosleeves 22 on abase 4. Thesleeve 22 has a curved opening on its top for the twoaxles 21 to match and rotate. At bottom, there is a 90-degree wedge 222. Theinclined support module 3 consists of arotary frame 31 on bottom back of theLCD 1 and anadjustable fixture 32 at the bottom of thebase 4. Theadjustable fixture 32 has a plural number ofcurved opening 321 on one side at equal distance in the longitudinal direction for theframe 31 to position. - Thus, in a practical example, the two
sleeves 22 on top of thebase 4 have the same distance and match with the twoaxles 21. Theadjustable fixture 32 is at the bottom of thebase 4 for theframe 31 to match against. Thisbase 4 can be a common thin computer (refer toFIG. 3 ) or an integrated molded plate (refer toFIG. 4 ). In this way, the twoaxles 21 of thefixture module 2 on the back ofLCD 1 match thesleeve 22 on top of the base 4 (as inFIG. 5 ). The LCD uses its own weight to rotate against one side of thebase 1 and stands up vertically (refer toFIG. 3 ). - Further, at the two
axles 21 on theLCD 1 back, there is a cavity that has an edge to match the rotation path in acurved surface 5 for thewedge 222. So when theLCD 1 leans against one side of thebase 1, thecurved surface 5 contacts against thewedge 222 at the bottom of thesleeve 22. This allowsLCD 1 to stand up firmly (refer toFIG. 3 ). Thus, the twoaxles 21 of thefixture module 2 on theLCD 1 back do not take off and fit into thecurved opening 321 on top of thesleeve 22. As a result, theLCD 1 can maintain its stability on the support. - Please refer to
FIG. 6 for the angle adjustment for theLCD 1 in the present invention. Theframe 31 fits into thecurved opening 321 on top of theadjustable fixture 32 to achieve angle adjustment forLCD 1. The weight ofLCD 1 makes itself lean against thebase 4 in a steady state. It also uses theaxle 21, theframe 31 and theadjustable fixture 32 to form a triangle frame. It also uses thecurved surface 5 onLCD 1 back and thewedge 222 at the bottom of thesleeve 22 for blocking. After angle adjustment, theLCD 1 can stand up steadily and firmly. The inclined angle forLCD 1 can be adjusted by the number ofcurved opening 321 at equal distance on top of theadjustable fixture 32 and the shift of theframe 31. - From the above, the invention provides a desktop LCD support, which uses a simple fixture module to achieve simple assembly and disassembly and a simple inclined frame. Thus, it not only provides angle adjustment function and a secure positioning function. Compared with the traditional desktop LCD support, it has support frame and angle adjustment function with simple structure. The entire structure is simple, so it facilitates assembly with great reduction in manufacturing cost and increase in competitiveness.
Claims (4)
1. A desktop LCD support mainly comprises a fixture module and an inclined support module with features as follows:
the fixture module consists of two axles directly attached to LCD back and two sleeves on a base; the sleeve has a curved opening on its top for the two axles to match and rotate; at bottom, there is a 90-degree wedge;
the inclined support module consists of a rotary frame on bottom back of the LCD and an adjustable fixture at the bottom of the base; the adjustable fixture has a plural number of curved opening on one side at equal distance in the longitudinal direction for the frame to position; the frame uses LCD weight to fit into the curved opening;
through this, the two axles of the fixture module match the sleeve on top of the base. So the LCD uses its own weight to rotate against one side of the base and stands up vertically; the frame rod can match the curved opening on the adjustable fixture to adjust the LCD angle; the axle, the frame and the adjustable fixture form a triangle support; after angle adjustment, LCD can still stand up firmly.
2. As described in claim 1 for a desktop LCD support, the base can be a thin computer or an integrated molded plate.
3. As described in claim 1 for a desktop LCD support, the two sleeves on top of the base have the same distance and match with the two axles.
4. As described in claim 1 for a desktop LCD support, there is a cavity that has an edge to match the rotation path in a curved surface for the wedge; so when the LCD leans against one side of the base, the curved surface contacts against the wedge at the bottom of the sleeve to form a mechanism to prevent the axle from jumping up and provide a secure positioning effect.
