- Double button assembly attached to reinforced belt line.
- Reinforced seam (either reinforced stitching or nylon), approximately 1.5 inches wide, from the bottom of the tactical side pocket up to and connecting with the reinforced belt line.
- Double button assembly (snap-type), positioned either vertically or horizontally and sewn or otherwise attached to the reinforced inner seam. This button assembly will serve as part of the connecting device for the holster assembly within the side pocket.
- Velcro fuzzy side sewn or otherwise attached to the reinforced inner seam within the tactical side pocket. This will serve as the secondary connecting mechanism for the holster assembly (i.e. holster assembly will have an opposite side velcro attachment for a secure fit).
- Standard pant seam i.e. not reinforced as in seam from the bottom of the tactical side pocket up to the reinforced belt line of same.

Abstract
A cargo pant thigh holster system, enclosed within the side (thigh) pocket of a specially designed pair of cargo pants, for carrying a concealed handgun includes a vertical support member that attaches to a velcro and double button assembly within the side pocket of the cargo pants to provide vertical support for a holster and handgun. A retainer strap, connected to the holster, wraps around the thigh through openings of the inner lining of the side pocket of the cargo pants to secure the holster against rotative movement. A reinforced seam system of said cargo pants that begins with a reinforced seam on the outside portion of each pant leg above the knee area, and extending up to the belt line of the pants, a belt line also of reinforced stitching that connects the vertical double button assembly in the front of the pants above the zipper. Said cargo pants are comprised of two front pockets, two rear pockets and two side (thigh) pockets either of which can conceal a handgun and holster system as described above.

- The present invention relates to leg holster assemblies for carrying a handgun.
- There are a wide variety of holsters used to carry concealed firearms at or near the thigh of a wearer. In the holsters known to the prior art, the holsters and systems are worn outside of the clothing of a wearer, thus exposing the holster and firearm. Improvements are needed to conceal a firearm worn in such a tactical manner.

- 2. Inside lining of front pocket.
- 3. Quarter-top style front pocket.
- 4. Reinforced seam (either reinforced stitching or nylon), approximately 1.5 inches wide, from the bottom of the tactical side pocket up to and connecting with the reinforced belt line.
- 5. Outer flap of side pocket.
- 6. Double button assembly (snap-type), positioned either vertically or horizontally and sewn or otherwise attached to the reinforced inner seam. This button assembly will serve as part of the connecting device for the holster assembly within the side pocket.
- 7. Velcro (fuzzy side) sewn or otherwise attached to the reinforced inner seam within the tactical side pocket. This will serve as the secondary connecting mechanism for the holster assembly (i.e. holster assembly will have an opposite side velcro attachment for a secure fit).
- 8. Reinforced vertically cut hole openings within the tactical side pocket, approximately 1.5 inches wide, to allow straps of the holster assembly to pass through and wrap around the leg of the wearer.
- 9. Outer seam of tactical side pocket. The material will be connected to pant leg and inner seam in such a manner so as to raise off the rest of the pant and allow for sufficient space within the pocket to fully and comfortably conceal a firearm within the holster system (i.e. pocket will “bunch” over the rest of the pant leg).
- 10. Standard pant seam (i.e. not reinforced as in seam from the bottom of the tactical side pocket up to the reinforced belt line of same.
- 11. Bottom hem of pant.
- 12. Reinforced belt line (rear side).
- 13. Outer flap of rear pocket.
- 14. Inside lining of rear pocket.

Number 6 of the table forFIGS. 1 and 2 ). - 3. Top portion of holster assembly that connects to the double button assembly. Underneath same is the opposite side velcro material that attaches to the fuzzy-side velcro already sewn on or otherwise attached to the reinforced pant seam.
- 4. Hole openings for tactical holster straps (as explained in
Number 8 of the table forFIGS. 1 and 2 ). - 5. Under portion of velcro strap (i.e. fuzzy side) connected to the holster assembly which wraps around the leg of the wearer.
- 6. Top portion (i.e. opposite side) of velcro strap that overlaps in place after wrapping around the leg of the wearer for a secure fit.
- 7. Bottom portion of holster assembly (actual holster material may vary; i.e. nylon, leather, etc.).
- 8. Velcro (fuzzy side) sewn on to reinforced pant seam (as explained in
Number 7 of the table forFIGS. 1 and 2 ). - 9. Security button snap for the holster assembly (i.e. securely holds firearm within holster), reinforced with metal or otherwise flat and firm plate whereby providing sufficient tension to allow for a fast un-snapping (i.e. disengaging) of same.
- 10. Other side hole opening for tactical holster straps as described in
Number 4 above.
Claims (5)
1. A cargo pant thigh holster system, enclosed within the side (thigh) pocket of a specially designed pair of cargo pants, for removably securing a handgun to the thigh of a wearer comprising a holster having a first sidewall disposable adjacent a leg of a wearer and a second sidewall disposable away from a leg of a wearer and having an interior pocket there between for removably carrying a handgun therein, a support system for securing said holster adjacent a leg of a wearer, releasable cooperating fastener means attached to said holster and said support system for securing said holster to said support system, said support system including means for removably attaching to the thigh of a wearer, inside of the pant leg through openings in the inner lining of the pant leg within the side pocket, a velcro strip attaching the seam area of the lining of the pant leg within the side pocket to the inner sidewall of the holster, and a double button assembly above the velcro seam attachment that further connects the top area of the holster to the inner lining of the pant leg within the side pocket, all supporting the weight of a handgun and for inhibiting vertical and rotative movement of said holster attached thereto. The cargo pants are made up of two front pockets, two rear pockets and two side (thigh) pockets either of which can conceal a handgun and holster assembly as described above. The cargo pants shall be made with reinforced stitching along the outer seam of the pants starting above the knee area and extending up to and connecting with the belt line of the pants, a belt line that shall also be made with reinforced stitching that wraps around and connects to a vertical double button assembly in the front of the pants above the zipper.
2. The system as defined in claim 1 wherein said retainer strap is adjustable in length, attaches to the holster itself and encircles the leg of the wearer.
3. The system as defined in claim 1 wherein said releasable cooperating fastener means attached to said support system is located to adjacent inner sidewall and upper portion.
4. The system as defined in claim 1 wherein outer covering of side pocket can either be permanently sewed on to pant leg with a top flap that opens upward to access a handgun attached to the system within said pocket, or designed with break-away velcro edges and a corner nylon tab so that said covering can be removed in a hurried fashion to access a handgun attached to the system within said pocket. In either case, the outer covering of said side pocket shall be designed in a manner so as to loosely fit over the holster system area so as to further aid in concealment of same.
5. The holster in said system shall be designed with an adjustable single button securing strap that fastens over the top (hammer) area of a handgun securing same in the holster, or it may be designed without a securing strap (i.e. break-free fashion).
