Abstract
A structure improvement for sliding rail of drawers with longer life cycle and extendable length, mainly containing an outer sliding rail, an inner sliding rail, and a steelball-sliding sheet placed between the outer sliding rail and the inner sliding rail to guide the inner sliding rail to move freely. A rolling bearing is installed on the embedding end of the sliding rail, inside the inner groove of the outer sliding rail, so as to guide the movement inner sliding rail. With the rolling bearing against the top and the bottom retaining sheets of the inner groove, the steelball-sliding sheet and the rolling bearing provides multi-point support to resists against the moment of force. Shortening the steelball-sliding sheet's length increases extendable length of the inner sliding rail to the extend of full expansion, thus enhance the life cycle and the extendable length of the drawers.
Description
- The present invention relates to a structure sliding rail of drawers, especially the one with longer life cycle and extendable length.
- As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2. Traditional sliding rail of drawers containers an outer sliding
rail 1′, an inner slidingrail 2′ and a steelball-slidingsheet 3′. Theinner rail 2′ is placed in theinner groove 11′ of the outer slidingrail 1′ while the steelball-slidingsheet 3′ is placed between the outer slidingrail 1 and the inner slidingrail 2′, guiding the movement of the inner slidingrail 2′, thus makes it move freely inside theinner groove 11′ of the outer slidingrail 1′. - However, when the inner sliding
rail 2′ extends, the sheetball-slidingsheet 3′ placed between the outer slidingrail 1′ and the inner slidingrail 2′ would move along with the inner slidingrail 2′ and stop at the front end of the outer slidingrail 1′. The length L of the steelball-slidingsheet 3′ is limited with certain mechanism that resists the moment of force at the intersection of the fully-expanded inner slidingrail 2′ and the outer slidingrail 1′. Otherwise, the steelball-slidingsheet 3′ failing to resist the moment of force would cause distortion of the tworetaining sheets 12′ on theinner groove 11′ of the outer slidingrail 1′, even cause the tworetaining sheets 12′ to stretch outward, thus make theinner rail 2′ and the steelball-slidingsheet 3′ fall off. - Furthermore, the length L of the steelball-sliding
sheet 3′ is restricted by the length expansion criterion and the section area of the outer slidingrail 1′ and the inner slidingrail 2′; therefore the length expansion of the steelball-slidingsheet 3′ and the inner slidingrail 2′ is limited and prevents the inner slidingrail 2′ from fully extending. - Moreover, the extension and movement of the inner sliding
rail 2′ depend on the guiding of the steelball-slidingsheet 3′ and the moment of force at the intersection of the inner slidingrail 2′ and the outer slidingrail 1′. The repeated pulling and gliding for a long time would cause thesteelball sliding sheet 3′ to wear down faster than the outer slidingrail 1′ and the inner slidingrail 2′, and influences the life cycle of the sliding rail of drawers. - In view of such demerits, the inventor of the present invention was devoted to finding a solution and accomplished structure for sliding rail of drawers with longer life cycle and extendable length.
- The main objective for the present invention is to install a rolling bearing on the embedding end of the sliding rail. The rolling bearing placed inside the inner groove of the outer sliding rail guides the movement inner sliding rail inserted to the outer sliding rail. In this way, when the inner sliding rail extends and moves, the steelball-sliding sheet can guide the rail with the assistance of the rolling bearing so as to provide multi-point support for the extension and movement of the inner sliding rail. Moreover, by placing the rolling bearing on the embedding end of the outer sliding rail, a length of the fully-expanding inner sliding rail's end remains at the embedding end of the outer sliding rail, and the rolling bearing leans against the top and the bottom retaining sheets of the inner groove; therefore the resistance against the moment of force at the intersection of the inner sliding rail and the outer sliding rail is strengthened and give the rolling bearing and steelball-sliding sheets the ability of restricting multi-point supports. The moment of force imposed on the steelball-sliding sheets is reduced and thus enlarge its life cycle, which in turn extend the life cycle of the sliding rails of drawers.
- Another objective for the present invention is to provide a structure that assists the guiding of the steelball-sliding sheets and the resistance against the moment of force. This mechanism shortens the length of the steelball-sliding sheet, increasing the extendable length of the inner sliding rail to the extend of full expansion. Consequently, the area of the drawer being opened is larger than it used to be and enhances usability.
- In the following, the embodiment illustrated is used to describe the detailed structural characteristics and operation action for the present invention.
- FIG. 1 is an illustration for the structural appearance of traditional sliding rails of drawers.
- FIG. 2 is a lateral illustration for formation of the traditional sliding rails of drawers.
- FIG. 3 is an illustration for the structural appearance of the present invention.
- FIG. 4 is a three-dimensional illustration for formation of the sliding rails of drawers for the present invention.
- FIG. 5 is a lateral illustration for formation of the sliding rails of drawers for the present invention.
- FIG. 6 is an illustration about the present invention applied to three-phase sliding rails of drawers.
- Please refer to FIG. 3. The sliding rail of drawers for the present invention containers an outer sliding
rail 1, an inner slidingrail 2 and a steelball-slidingsheet 3. Theinner rail 2 is placed in theinner groove 11 of the outer slidingrail 1 while the steelball-slidingsheet 3 is placed between the outer slidingrail 1 and the inner slidingrail 2, guiding the movement of the inner slidingrail 2, thus makes it move freely. inside the inner groove II of the outer slidingrail 1. - A rolling bearing13 placed is installed at the embedding
end 13 of the outer slidingrail 1. The rolling bearing 13 placed inside the inner groove of the outer slidingrail 1 helps guide the movement inner slidingrail 2 inserted to the outer sliding rail. Theedge 131 of the rolling bearing 13 leans against thetop retaining sheet 211 and thebottom retaining sheet 212 on theinner groove 21 of the inner slidingrail 2 to act as guide assistance (refer to FIG. 4 and FIG. 5). - In this way, when the inner sliding
rail 2 extends and moves, the steelball-slidingsheet 3 can guide the rail with the assistance of the rolling bearing 13 so that the extension and movement of the inner sliding rail supports multi-point movement. Moreover, by placing the rolling bearing 13 on theembedding end 12 of the outer sliding rail, a length of the fully-expanding inner slidingrail 2 remains at the embeddingend 12 of the outer slidingrail 1; therefore the resistance against the moment of force at the intersection of the inner slidingrail 2 and the outer slidingrail 1 is strengthened and the moment of force is restricted by multi-point supports formed by the rollingbearing 13 and steelball-slidingsheets 3, enhancing the life cycle of the drawer. - Compared the existing drawers with the same length of steelball-sliding
sheet 3, the present invention's rolling bearing at the embeddingend 12 of the outer slidingrail 1, even being pulled and dragged repeatedly, has alife cycle 4 times greater than existing drawers. - Moreover, the rolling bearing13 at the embedding
end 12 of the outer slidingrail 1 assists the guiding of the steelball-slidingsheet 3 as well as resists the moment of force, shortening the length of the steelball-slidingsheet 3, thus increases the extendable length of the inner slidingrail 2 to the extend of full expansion. Consequently, the area of the drawer being opened is larger than it used to be and enhances usability. - The above present invention describes two-phase drawers with longer life cycle and extendable length. A three-phase drawer is illustrated as FIG. 6, wherein the outer sliding
rail 1 is used as a middle sliding rail, with is an extending outer sliding rail covered upon itsinner groove 11. A steelball-sliding sheet 5 is covered on the outer slidingrail 1 and the extending outer slidingrail 4 to guide the movement of the outer slidingrail 1, allowing theinner groove 41 of the extending outer slidingrail 4 to move freely, thus enlarge the drawer's life cycle and extendable length. - To summarize the above description, the sliding rail in the present invention can provide effective performance and extend its life through a simple structure, which practically meets the qualifications for invention based on new type and improvement. Accordingly, an application is submitted for examination.
