Abstract

An exercise apparatus furniture includes an exercise apparatus having two connection members on two sides of a fist end thereof and a support board is pivotably connected to the two connection members by two tubes extending from an underside of the support board. Two tubes extend from the underside of the support board so as to stand on the floor to main the support board in a horizontal plane. The top surface of the support can be used as a table top or cushion pads are put on the support board to be a sofa when the exercise apparatus is not in use. The tubes perform as hand rails when the support board is positioned upright.

Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a running simulation exercising machine treadmill that ca be converted as to become a furniture like a table, a sofa or a bed. [0001]
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • A conventional fitness equipment in furniture known to applicant is disclosed in U.S. Pat. No. 6,508,744 and the fitness equipment generally includes a frame with an interior in which the fitness equipment is received. The frame includes at least four sides and a base section so as to enclose the fitness equipment in the frame. The cushions are then removably installed to the frame when the fitness equipment is not in use. The cushions have to be removed from the frame when the fitness equipment is to be used. The cushions and the frame are separated items so that when the user using the fitness equipment, the cushions have to be put or stored in another space. The frame is also bulky enough to enclose the fitness equipment therein and the armrests of the furniture are fixed to two ends of the frame and which make the frame look weird. [0002]
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, there is provided an exercise apparatus furniture which comprises an exercise apparatus and a support board is pivotably connected to one end of the exercise apparatus. Two tubes extend from the support board so as to perform as a support when the support board is put horizontally as a table or any proper usage, and handle rails when the support board is positioned upright when using the exercise apparatus. [0003]
  • The primary object of the present invention is to provide a treadmill that does not need to be moved after the usage due to the fact that is a part of the basic furniture of the house. [0004]
  • The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.[0005]
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is an exploded view to show the treadmill and the support board of the present invention; [0006]
  • FIG. 2 is a side view to show the support board is used as a table top and the treadmill is not in use; [0007]
  • FIG. 3 is a side view to show the support board is positioned upright and the treadmill is in use; [0008]
  • FIG. 4 is an exploded view to show the treadmill and the support board with cushion pads of the present invention; [0009]
  • FIG. 5 is a side view to show the support board is used as a sofa and the treadmill is not in use; [0010]
  • FIG. 6 is a side view to show the support board with the cushion pads is positioned upright and the treadmill is in use; [0011]
  • FIG. 7 shows that the treadmill is enclosed by side boards when the treadmill is not in use; [0012]
  • FIG. 8 shows that the treadmill is enclosed by side boards when the treadmill is in use, and [0013]
  • FIGS. 9 and 10 respectively show two embodiment of the first tubes of the present invention.[0014]
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the exercise apparatus furniture of the present invention comprises an [0015] exercise apparatus 4 such as a treadmill, having two connection members 40 connected to two sides of a fist end of the exercise apparatus 4 and an inclined adjustment 5 is connected to an underside of the second end of the exercise apparatus 4. A retractable plug wire 9 is connected to the first end of the exercise apparatus 4 to provide electric power to the exercise apparatus 4. A support board 6 has two first tubes 8 and two second tubes 60 extending perpendicularly from an underside of the support board 6. The first tubes 8 are located at a distance from the second tubes 60. Each of the second tubes 60 has a first lock position 1 and a second lock position 2. The second tubes 60 are pivotably connected to the connection member 40 at the first lock positions 1 and the second lock positions 2 when the support board 6 is located horizontally above the exercise apparatus 4. The first tubes 8 perform as a support for the support board which contact the floor and maintain the support board 6 in a horizontal position. Therefore, the support board 6 can be used as a table top.
  • Referring to FIG. 3, two [0016] third tubes 61 extend from the underside of the support board 6 and are located beside the second tubes 60. The third tubes 61 each have a third lock position 3 which are connected to the connection members 40 while the second lock positions 2 are disengaged from the connection members 4 and the support board 6 is positioned upright. The first tubes 8 perform as hand-rails when the support board 6 is in upright position and a console 7 is connected between the two hand rails such that the user may check the necessary information about the exercise. As shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, the treadmill may also be enclosed by side boards.
  • Referring to FIGS. [0017] 4 to 6, cushion pads 62 are connected to a top surface of the support board 6 such that when the support board 6 is positioned in the horizontal position, the furniture becomes a sofa.
  • FIG. 9 shows the [0018] firs tubes 8 can be constructed as a triangle truss which can bear a heavy load put on the table top of the support board 6. FIG. 10 shows that the first tubes 8 are pivotably connected to the support board 6.
  • While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. [0019]
