Abstract

A vortex fan blade unit has multiple arc protrusions disposed on the surface of the body of the fan blade unit for the airflow on its surface to be guided to where fan blades rotate by compromising contour of those arc protrusions thus to create vortex for increasing air volume delivered while reducing harmonic vibration of the fan blades for noise reduction.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • (a) Field of the Invention [0001]
  • The present invention is related to a vortex fan blade unit, and more particularly, to one adapted to a small fan and formed on the surface of the body of the fan blade to create disturbance, thus to promote air volume outputted from the fan at with reduced noise level. [0002]
  • (b) Description of the Prior Art [0003]
  • As illustrated in FIG. 1, a fan blade structure of a small fan generally available in the market is essentially comprised of a fan blade unit (a) combined with a rotor winding (b) and a frame (c). Wherein, a spindle constructed by the center of the fan blade unit (a) penetrates a bearing disposed at the center of the rotor winding (b) to constitute a heat dissipation fan. A fan body (a[0004] 1) of the fan blade unit (a) indicates a circular cover, and multiple fan blades (a2) extending outward from the fan body (a1) at equal spacing and equal angle and a spindle is formed extending from the center of the base of the fan body (a1).
  • Once the fan blade unit (a) is turning, angles formed by those fan blades (a[0005] 2) drive the air from the front of fan backwards to define a directional airflow. However, the surface of the fan body (a1) is flushed, the airflow in process will be more or less frustrated by the surface of the fan body (a1) and become disorder at the front end of the fan blade unit (a) as illustrated in FIG. 2 to reduce the air volume.
  • Furthermore, a harmonic vibration will be generated when multiple fan blades are driving the airflow, and noise is created. The noise level becomes higher as the revolution speed of those fan blades increases. The solution to reduce the noise level is to have different vibration frequencies among those fan blades. [0006]
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The primary purpose of the present invention is to provide a vortex fan blade unit essentially by having the surface of the body of the fan blade unit disposed with multiple arc protrusions so to guide the air flow heating the surface of the body of the fan blade unit to compromise those arc protrusions to the area where the fan blades rotate to create vortex, thus to increase the air volume delivered by the fan blade unit; meanwhile reducing the harmonic vibration effects from the fan blade unit by taking advantage of the disturbance created by those arc protrusions for noise reduction. [0007]
  • The foregoing object and summary provide only a brief introduction to the present invention. To fully appreciate these and other objects of the present invention as well as the invention itself, all of which will become apparent to those skilled in the art, the following detailed description of the invention and the claims should be read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. Throughout the specification and drawings identical reference numerals refer to identical or similar parts. [0008]
  • Many other advantages and features of the present invention will become manifest to those versed in the art upon making reference to the detailed description and the accompanying sheets of drawings in which a preferred structural embodiment incorporating the principles of the present invention is shown by way of illustrative example. [0009]
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is an exploded view of a fan blade unit of the prior art. [0010]
  • FIG. 2 is a schematic view simulating the movement of airflow created by a motor fan blade unit of the prior art. [0011]
  • FIG. 3 is an exploded view of a preferred embodiment of the present invention. [0012]
  • FIG. 4 is a schematic view simulating the movement of airflow created by the preferred embodiment of the present invention. [0013]
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • The following descriptions are of exemplary embodiments only, and are not intended to limit the scope, applicability or configuration of the invention in any way. Rather, the following description provides a convenient illustration for implementing exemplary embodiments of the invention. Various changes to the described embodiments may be made in the function and arrangement of the elements described without departing from the scope of the invention as set forth in the appended claims. [0014]
  • Referring to FIG. 3, a preferred embodiment of the present invention related to a vortex fan blade unit that is capable of increasing air volume delivered and reducing noise level includes a fan blade unit ([0015] 1), a body (1) of the fan blade unit (1) and multiple fan blades (12). Wherein, a circular protrusion (111) elevated from the center of the surface of the body (11) of the fan blade unit (1). Multiple arc protrusions (112) flushed with the circular protrusion, each in crescent shape and arranged at equal spacing, equal angle and in radius are provided at where between the circular protrusion (111) and the circumference of the body (11) of the fan blade unit (1). The arc of those arc protrusions (111) is in the same direction as that for the arc of a fan blade edge (121).
  • Once a motor adapted to the fan is started for those fan blades to rotate, airflow in front of the fan blade unit ([0016] 1) is driven backwards to where behind the fan blade unit (1) and the airflow with a given direction is formed in front and the back of the fan blade unit (1). Once the airflow approaches the surface of body (11) of the fan blade unit (1), the airflow is biased and guided to where the rotation of those fan blades takes place by compromising contour of those arc protrusions (112) to create a vortex. As the vortex improves the structural strength of the airflow, the air volume delivered by those fan blades (12) is increased accordingly to help promote the work efficiency of the fan. Furthermore, as encouraged by those arc protrusions (111), the airflow while passing through those fan blades (12) will create a disturbance to significantly reduce harmonic vibration effects from those rotating fan blades (12) thus to reduce noise level created when the fan operates.
  • It will be understood that each of the elements described above, or two or more together may also find a useful application in other types of methods differing from the type described above. [0017]
  • While certain novel features of this invention have been shown and described and are pointed out in the annexed claim, it is not intended to be limited to the details above, since it will be understood that various omissions, modifications, substitutions and changes in the forms and details of the device illustrated and in its operation can be made by those skilled in the art without departing in any way from the spirit of the present invention. [0018]
