  • FIG. 16 is a perspective view of a work table having the function of collecting dust or the like in accordance with another embodiment of the present invention.[0029]
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. [0030] 1-5, a work table having the function of collecting dust or the like in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a body 1 having a top provided with a frame 11.
  • The [0031] frame 11 of the body 1 has an inner wall provided with a flange 111, for supporting multiple net plates 12, thereby forming a table. The frame 11 of the body 1 has a corner formed with an insertion hole 112 (see FIG. 5) for insertion of an upright hanging bar 13. The frame 11 of the body 1 has three sides each pivotally provided with a guard plate 14, 15 and 16 in a hinge manner. The guard plates 14, 15 and 16 are connected with each other by snaps 17 (see FIG. 2A).
  • The [0032] body 1 has a lower portion provided with a dust suction chamber 2. The dust suction chamber 2 has a top provided with a ramp 21. The ramp 21 of the dust suction chamber 2 has a distal end formed with an upright receiving space 22 extending downward to a bottom of the dust suction chamber 2. An oblique plate 28 is mounted in the receiving space 22. A filter net 3 is inserted into the receiving space 22. The filter net 3 is not fixed when it is inserted into the receiving space 22, and is rested on the wall of the receiving space 22 by action of the oblique plate 28.
  • The [0033] body 1 has a back side formed with an opening 23 (see FIG. 3) communicating with the dust suction chamber 2. An outer cover plate 24 is secured on the back side of the body 11 for covering the opening 23.
  • The [0034] body 1 has a side formed with an air outlet 26, and is provided with a guard net 27 for covering the air outlet 26 of the body 1. A blast 25 is mounted in the dust suction chamber 2, and has an outlet communicating with the air outlet 26 of the body 1. The lower portion of the body 1 is formed with a dust collection opening 18 located beside the receiving space 22. A dust collection drawer 19 is slidably mounted in the lower portion of the body 1, and is received in the dust collection opening 18.
  • In user, referring to FIGS. [0035] 5-7 with reference to FIG. 1, the table formed by the multiple net plates 12 may be used to work and process workpieces (not shown) supported thereon. The upright hanging bar 13 may be used to support an electric power wire or a lamp, thereby providing an illumination effect.
  • The fragments [0036] 4 (see FIG. 7) produced during the working process may initially pass through the meshes of the multiple net plates 12, may then fall down onto the ramp 21, may then roll down along the ramp 21 into the dust collection opening 18, and may finally be collected by the dust collection drawer 19. Alternatively, fragments 4 produced during the working process may initially pass through the meshes of the multiple net plates 12, may then directly fall down into the dust collection opening 18, and may finally be collected by the dust collection drawer 19.
  • On the other hand, the work table in accordance with the present invention may also be used to collect tiny chips [0037] 41 (see FIG. 7) or powder dust. The blast 25 mounted in the dust suction chamber 2 may blow and carry the air outward to produce a suction force. The blast 25 may co-operate with the dust suction chamber 2 to form a closed space which is disposed at an almost vacuum state.
  • Thus, after the [0038] blast 25 is started, the suction force produced by the blast 25 may achieve the optimum effect, so that the chips 41 produced by the workpieces worked on the multiple net plates 12 may be sucked downward and may be carried to the filter net 3. Thus, the chips 41 may be adhered on the filter net 3, thereby achieving the effect of collecting chips and dust.
  • It is appreciated that, when the [0039] filter net 3 is inserted into the receiving space 22, the filter net 3 may co-operate with the oblique plate 28, so that the filter net 3 may be positioned in place by the oblique plate 28. Thus, when the blast 25 is started to evacuate the air contained in the dust suction chamber 2, the filter net 3 may be securely positioned in place by the suction force of the blast 25 as shown in FIG. 7. In addition, when the blast 25 is not operated, the filter net 3 is rested on the wall of the receiving space 22 in an oblique manner as shown in FIG. 6, thereby facilitating replacement of the filter net 3.
  • Referring to FIG. 8, the work table in accordance with the present invention further comprises multiple [0040] planar plates 121 that may be inserted into a bottom of a respective one of the net plates 12 as shown in FIGS. 11-13. After the planar plate 121 is closely bonded on the net plate 12, the blast 25 mounted in the dust suction chamber 2 may blow and carry the air outward to produce a suction force. Thus, the planar plate 121 is closely bonded on the net plate 12, so that the original power may produce a more collective effect without having to additionally increase the power, so that the fragments 4 and chips 41 may be moved and collected more rapidly and efficiently.
  • Referring to FIGS. [0041] 8-10, the work table in accordance with the present invention further comprises a cable 33 mounted on the filter net 3 for pulling the filter net 3 upward, and a handle 34 mounted on the cable 33 for pulling the cable 33.
  • The receiving [0042] space 22 is provided with two side walls 220 each formed with a circular hole 222 and an elongated slot 221. An angled plate 31 having an L-shaped cross-section is slidably mounted between the two side walls 220 of the receiving space 22, and has two ends each formed with a circular hole 32. The filter net 3 is mounted on the angled plate 31 to move therewith and located between the two side walls 220 of the receiving space 22. The cable 33 has two ends each in turn passed through the circular hole 222 and the elongated slot 221 of a respective one of the two side walls 220 of the receiving space 22 and each passed through and secured in the circular hole 32 of one of the two ends of the angled plate 31. Thus, the filter net 3 and the angled plate 31 may be pulled upward by the cable 33.
  • In such a manner, when the [0043] filter net 3 is filled with the chips 41, the net plates 12 may be removed from the frame 11, and the handle 34 may be pulled upward to pull the cable 33 which moves the angled plate 31 upward, so that the filter net 3 and the angled plate 31 may be pulled upward by the cable 33 to move upward from the position as shown in FIG. 9 to the position as shown in FIG. 10. At this time, the filter net 3 is still received in the receiving space 22. Then, the filter net 3 may be shaken to touch the side walls 220 of the receiving space 22, so that the chips 41 may largely fall down into the dust collection drawer 19.
  • Referring to FIG. 14, the work table having the function of collecting dust or the like in accordance with another embodiment of the present invention further comprises a safety switch set [0044] 5 mounted on the body 1, a handgrip 29 mounted on the guard net 27, and a roller set 6 mounted on the bottom of the body 1.
  • Referring to FIG. 15, the roller set [0045] 6 is undefined.
  • Referring to FIG. 16, the [0046] dust collection drawer 19 is mounted on the back side of the body 1.
  • Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention. [0047]
