Abstract

A figured and patterned casing of a host computer is provided to increase the consumer's purchase options and further achieve the objective of promoting the industrial development and enhancing the merchandise sales volume; the present invention is mainly applied to a casing of a personal digital assistant (PDA), a desktop personal computer host unit, a notebook computer and a displayer for having an unique, attractive and extraordinary external style. In addition, through detachable casings with different figures and patterns, the consumer is capable of self-assembling the casing thereby increasing the variation and pleasure in application.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1) Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a figured and patterned casing of a host computer, more especially to using the figure and pattern on a host computer to increase the consumer's purchase options as well as the variation and pleasure in application so as to further achieve the objective of promoting the industrial development and enhancing the merchandise sales volume.

2) Description of the Prior Art

Accordingly, in the technological era, the products such as a desktop personal computer host unit, a notebook computer, a personal digital assistant (PDA), a displayer, etc, have been used extensively; wherein, most of the casings are made of metal material; the designs of those products focus on extraordinary styles and outstanding colors changed from grey and black colors to the current multiple bright colors to satisfy the public consumer's demands.

The casings of the desktop host computer, the notebook computer, the PDA and the displayer mainly utilize the metal material with certain hardness to protect the internal sophisticated members from accidental squeeze or pressure. However, 110 matter which kind of metal is used, after being pressed into molds, it has to be painted through spraying or stoving finish to cover the original color of the metal and to match with the color of the front panel for increasing the pleasantness of the entire body.

Although the abovementioned metal casings of the various products have different colors for the consumers to select, the colors are all monochromic. In order to satisfy the consumers' increasing demands, casings with variety of figures or patterns should tremendously provide more options for the consumers and further achieve the objective of promoting the industrial development and enhancing the sales volume of the merchandise.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the casings of the conventional personal computer, notebook computer, personal digital assistant (PDA) and displayer with only monochromic colors for the consumers to select and being unable to satisfy the vast consumers' demands, the inventor of the present invention has finally and successfully researched and developed the present invention of a figured and patterned host computer casing, after continuous study and experiment as well as basing on years of practical experience in researching, designing and manufacturing the related products, so as to increase the consumers' option and achieve the objective of promoting the industrial development and enhancing the sales volume of the merchandise.

Specifically, the present invention of a figured and patterned casing of a host computer is mainly applied to products such as the PDA, the desktop personal computer host unit, the notebook computer and the displayer by utilizing figured or patterned panel bodies to mold metal casings for the PDA, the desktop personal computer host unit and the displayer thereby making the external styles of those molded casings unique, attractive and extraordinary.

The primary objective of the present invention is to increase the consumers' purchasing options and further achieve the objective of promoting the industrial development and enhancing the sales volume of the merchandise through the figured and patterned casings of host computers.

Another objective of the present invention is to provide the consumer with the self-assembling casings with different figures and patterns to assemble for replacing the current casing of a host computer so as to increase the variation and pleasure in application.

To enable a further understanding of the structural features and the technical contents of the present invention, the brief description of the drawings below is followed by the detailed description of the preferred embodiment.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the present invention is mainly applied to a personal digital assistant (PDA) ([0014] 10), a desktop personal computer host unit (20) and a notebook computer by using a figured and patterned panel body to mold the metal casings (11, 21) of the products such as the PDA (10) and the desktop personal computer host unit (20) so as to have an unique, attractive and extraordinary external style.
The figures and patterns on the host computer casings ([0015] 11, 21) are made by mainly covering a layer of Figured and patterned polyvinyl chloride (PVC) film on a metal panel and then tightly affixing the PVC film onto the metal panel through heating at a high temperature so as to mold the metal casings (11, 21) for the products such as the PDA (10), desktop personal computer host unit (20) and the notebook computer. Of course, another possible way is to first mold the casings (11, 21) with a metal panel without any figure and pattern, then form the figures and patterns on the molded casings (11, 21) through spraying paint or stoving finish to show the beautiful appearance of the entire body thereby not only increasing the consumer's purchasing options, but also achieving the objective of promoting the industrial development and enhancing the sales volume of the merchandize.
What worth mentioning is that the figured and patterned host computer casings ([0016] 11, 21) can be assembled by the consumer. Through the detachment and replacement of current host computer casings (11, 21), the variation of the casings (11, 21) increases the consumers' pleasure in application.
In summation of the abovementioned, the present invention not only uses the figures and patterns on the host computer casing to increase the consumer's purchasing options thereby achieving the objective of promoting the industrial development and enhancing the sales volume of the merchandise, but also uses the detachable casing to replace casings with different figures and patterns so as to increase the variation and pleasure in application. It is of course to be understood that the embodiment described herein is merely illustrative of the principles of the invention and that a wide variety of modifications thereto may be effected by persons skilled in the art without departing firm the spirit and scope of the invention as set forth in the following claims. Claims

1. A figured and patterned casing of a host computer mainly provides figures and patterns for the casings of the products such as a personal digital assistant, a desktop personal computer host unit, a notebook computer and a displayer; the casing mainly comprises a metal panel covered by a layer of figured and patterned polyvinyl chloride (PVC) film affixed tightly onto the metal panel at a high temperature for molding.

2. A figured and patterned casing of a host computer according to claim 1, wherein the figures and patterns are tightly affixed to the metal panel through a PVC film and then unitarily molded onto the host computer casing.
