Definitions

  • Corn starch is inexpensive to purchase so it would be an inexpensive product to use along with the waste products of husks and cobs
  • Corn starch and pulped corn cobs and husks used in the paper production process have the properties to harden when water is applied and the fibrous materials in corn cobs and husks lend the strength to the paper as the fibers of trees currently are used for that purpose.

Abstract

The use of corn starch and corn cobs and husks as the main materials in the producton of paper is very inportant at this time.
Corn is readily available as it has a short growth time and is able to be replenished quickly. The ecology would benefit greatly since the trees are needed to protect the environment.
The farming industry would gain from this process also.
The excess use of paper is necessary for every business, government and person.

  • BRIEF SUMMARY
  • In meal preparation my father brought to my attention the hardening capabilities of corn starch when water was applied. Corn husks and cobs are fibrous as are trees the current material used to produce paper. [0007]

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION
  • Corns starch and pulped corn cobs and husks used in the paper production process. Corn starch has the properties to harden when water is applied and the fibrous materials in corn cobs and husks lend the strength to the paper as the fibers of trees currently are used for that purpose. [0009]
