Abstract

A flexible golf tee not easily broken or pulled out from the grass when a golfer hits a tee-shot, includes: a upper body, a middle body, a strong rubber string to connect the upper body and the middle body, the rubber string having a projection on both sides in order not to be separated from the tee, a washer for connecting the upper body and the rubber string in order not to be separated, and a lower body having a plurality of layers for convenient putting the tee into the grass.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention [0001]
  • The present invention relates to a golf tee and more particularly, to a flexible golf tee which includes a upper body, a lower body and a strong rubber string in the middle body so that the tee can not be broken, pulled out or flied away in the air, even though a golfer hits a powerful tee-shot. The present golf tee gets bent softly without separated from each portion of the tee due to a strong rubber string inside the tee in spite of a high speed tee-shot. [0002]
  • Carved layers of the lower body which are designed to prevent a golf tee from pulled out when hitting a tee-shot, offer golfers a great putting feeling, also. Golfers feel as if they hit a ball in the air. The carved layers are also helpful for golfers to improve a driving distance because tees remain in their positions after golfers hit a tee-shot. Therefore, golfers can hit a stable and neat tee-shot. And the upper body of the tee can get bent with the lower body at up to 45 degrees due to the rubber string inside the tee when putting and pulling a tee into and from the grass more conveniently.   • 2. Description of the Prior Art [0004]
  • In general, golfers used to use a wooden or plastic tee to hit a tee-shot. Conventional tees were easily broken, pulled out or flied away in the air. To overcome the problems as above, there was a golf tee of which upper body is made of rubber and the lower body is made of plastic material. The tee overcame the shortcomings of plastic or wooden tees by making the portion where a ball is placed with a thick rubber, such as easily getting broken, but was still easily pulled out, flied away if a golfer hits a powerful tee-shot. It was inconvenient to look about for the disappeared tee or purchase again. The portion where a ball is placed is made of a thick rubber for supporting a ball. The thick rubber decreases golfers' putting feeling, because golfers are supposed to feel the golf club touches the golf tee when hitting a tee-shot. [0005]
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention was designed to solve the problems as described above. The object of the present invention is to provide a golf tee which is not easily broken, pulled out, or flied away in the air even though a golfer hits a powerful tee-shot. The present golf tee gets bent softly without separated from each portion of the tee due to the strong rubber string inside the tee in spite of a high speed tee-shot. [0006]
  • The other object of the present invention is to provide a golf tee which is helpful for golfers to improve a driving distance and offers golfers a great putting feeling.[0007]

  • The other objects and features of the present invention will be hereinafter explained in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, wherein: [0008]

  • DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • The golf tee according to the present invention is separated into three bodies which are made of different materials according to its peculiar quality. The upper body is made of urethane, the middle body is made of nylon, and the lower body is made of polycarbonate (PC), respectively. [0012]
  • FIG. 1 shows a combination process of the three bodies according to the present golf tee. The [0013] rubber string 5 is inserted through the hole of the middle body 2 of the tee until the lower projection of the rubber string 5 is engaged with the inner portion of the middle body 2 of the tee. Then the middle body 2 including the rubber string 5 is inserted through the hole of the upper body 1 of the tee until the upper portion of the middle body 2 is engaged with the inner lower portion of the upper body 1. The end portion of the rubber string 5 extended outwardly from the upper portion of the upper body 1 is fixed firmly with a washer 4 so that all the portions are not separated from each other. The upper portion of the lower body 3 is inserted through the hole of the middle body 2 after adhesives is applied on the upper surface of the lower body 3 in order to stick together with the lower portion of the middle body 2. Finally, end portion extended outwardly from the line of the washer 4 fixing the upper portion of the rubber string 5 extended outwardly from the upper body 1 should be cut so that a golf ball can be placed. All the portions of the golf tee are combined by the strong rubber 5 so that the golf tee can not be pulled out, broken or flied away in the air, even though a golfer hits a powerful tee-shot. The present golf tee gets bent softly without separated from all the portions of the tee due to the strong rubber string 5 inside the tee in spite of a high speed tee-shot.
  • When removing the golf tee from the grass after hitting a tee-shot, pull the [0014] upper body 1 with a hand slightly and if you can see a bit of the rubber string 5, pull out the rubber string 5 uprightly.

Claims (2)

What is claimed is:
1. A flexible golf tee not easily broken or pulled out from the grass when a golfer hits a tee-shot, comprising:
a upper body,
a middle body,
a strong rubber string to connect said upper body and said middle body, said rubber string having a projection on both sides in order not to be separated from the tee,
a washer for connecting said upper body and said rubber string in order not to be separated, and
a lower body having a plurality of layers for convenient putting said tee into the grass.
2. A flexible golf tee not easily separated or pulled out from the grass when a golfer hits a tee-shot, as claimed in claim 1, wherein said rubber string connects said upper body and said middle body with elasticity and wherein said bodies are not easily separated from said tee when a golfer hits a tee-shot.
