The invention relates to brushes and more particularly it relates to brushes especially constructed for cleaning removable dentures, bridges, plates, or the like. f

Owing'to the irregular con'iiguration of dentures and removable bridges itis dicult; if not impossible, to thoroughly clean the same with a single brush of ordinary construction and'it is an object of the invention toy provide-a brush of improved construction and novel configuration adapting it for easy manipulation and abrasive contact with all portions of theirregularbounding surfacesV of removable dentures and bridges including both lrelatively large curvedsurfaces and grooves of dentures. Y

Another object of the invention is the provision of a brush adapted to t'within both convex and concave surfaces such Aas the labial portions of dentures and is alsoadapted for insertion in the clasps of partial dentures in amanner to thoroughly clean thesame.

A further object of the inventi nfis the provision of a brush having a portion vof 'its handle curved in a manner to adapt thev brush for free manipulation'in deep depressed surfaces of dentures without contact of the handle therewith.

A still further object of the invention is the provision of an improved brush of the kind described which is simpleyeconomical.durable and satisfactory forits intended purpose.` v

Many other objects and advantages of the construction herein shown and described will be obvious to those skilled in the art from the disclosure herein given.

To this end, my invention consists in the novel construction, arrangement and combination of parts herein shown and described, and more particularly pointed out in the appended claim 1 forming a part hereof.

Referring new more particularly to the drawing, the brush comprises a handle 10 having a substantially inclined end portion 11 providing a pair of apertures 12 at one end and a pair of bristle carrying cores respectively iixedly mounted in the apertures. The cores each comprise two lengths of wire twisted spirally and bent near prising end sections 13 and 14 connected "by a crook or bend 15. The described arrangement and construction of the core sectionsggiV and bristles provides a brush having4 atop surface concave both laterally and longitudinally and a bottom surface similarly convex laterally and longitudinally. l

Thus, it will be seen that 1 have provided a' brush of the kind described providing :an upper surface which is concave both laterally and longitudinally and a lower surface whichris convexl both .laterally and longitudinally, thereby adapting the brush for use on relatively large correspondingly curved portions'of a. denture and which has its'lateral edges providing individual tapering circular brushes adaptedrfor insertion in recesses, small grooves and other interstices of dentures and bridges, or the like, in `combina,- tion with a handle havingan inclined portion `'adapting the brush for freetman-ipulation without contact. of the handle with the labial or other projecting portions of dentures.

@Having thus described my invention, it is obvious that various immaterial modiiications may be resorted to without departingfrom the spirit of the invention;Y hence, I do not wish to be limited to the exact form, construction, arrangement and combination of parts herein shown and described, or uses mentioned.

A brush of the kind described comprising ahandle and a brush element, said element cornprising a pair of generally U-shaped bristle car` rying cores, each core having one stem mounted in the handle in spaced apart relation to the corresponding rstemof the other core, the middle portion of `each core being inclined outwardly and' upwardly with the free end of each core extending rearwardly kand terminating substantially opposite the endof the handle, and bristles *so arranged on said cores that the middle longitudinally extending portionV ofthe brush elen `ment is relatively thickrand compact and they lateraledgeportions are thin and combine with saidvmiddle portion to provide a brush having its upper and lower surfaces respectively concave and convex laterally and longitudinally.
