It will be apparent that water may readily return from the steam chamber QG to the water space l5 through the apertures 3Q, therebj7 providing for constant circulation. The hot gases and products of combustion will be carried ofi' through the uptake flue 19 after passing through the flues 28 and the chamber 18.
It is to be understood that any suitable number and arrangement of water tubes 2T and flues 28 may be provided, and also that the number and arrangement of crown sheets may be varied without departing from the spirit of the invention, the scope of which is limited only by the terms of the appended claims.
I claim:
l. In a boiler, a shell, a plurality of spaced superposed walls arranged within and secured to said shell to deine therewith alternate water spaces and heat spaces, water tubes secured to said walls in such manner as to establish communication between said water spaces, a water jacket having an inlet, said jacket being in direct communication with each of said water spaces, and fines secured to said wall in such manner as to establish communication between said heat spaces.
