The invention relates to a refrigerator and of Figure 2 looking in the direction of the more especially to a sea-food refrigerator. arrows.
The primary obj ect of the invention is the Figure 4 is a sectional View on the line H V provision of a refrigerator of this character of Figure 2 looking in the direction of the 5 wherein sea-food such asfish, crab meat or arrows. 2 j j 3 55 other sea-food when placed therein will be Similar reference characters indicate corchilled to maintain the same fresh'and when responding parts throughout the several within will be subject to moisture as the views in the drawings. e. drainage from the ice and water container Referring to the drawings in detail, the retherein will serve to carry off the water confrigerator comprises a body A formed with m tent or the meltings from the ice so that an outer wall 10 and a double inner wall 11, the sea-food stored therein will be relieved hese inner walls being suitably spaced apart from excess water accumulation and moisture o commodate a filling 13 serving as an inand thus maintain such food fresh and prop- Sulation lining for the body 10. 3 erly moist. 7 At the front of the body 10 are arranged Another object of the invention is the proupp r SWiIlgiI1g lOOBS 1i and intermedia e vision of a refrigerator of this character, doors 15, these being supported upon i g wherein the construction thereof is novel in 16 d are h l Clo by s i le-la hes 17. form so that different species of sea-food can e 1001's 14 and 15 when open permit access 29 be stored therein, such as fish, crabs, shrimp, v b h to the interior of the body 10 as is 9 crab meat or the lik and th a will h usual in refrigerator construction. The front wall 24 of the container 21' is Figure 2 is a sectional view on the line formed with perforations25 so that moisture 22 of Figure 1 looking in the direction of from this container will be emitted intothe the arrows. body 10 for circulation therein and also Figure 3 is a sectional View on the line 33 within the drawers 18K The bottom 26 of the container 21 is forwardly inclined and at the lowermost portion thereof is arranged a drain spout 27 so that water accumulating within the container 21 will be discharged therefrom through the spout, it being prefer able to employ two spouts these being arranged directly over the drawers 18 so that the water in its drainage will discharge into the drawers. The container 21 has supported on its bottom 26 an ice rack 28. The bottom 26 of the container 21 also has extended therethrough a vent tube 29 the same depending within the body 10 rearwardly of each drawer 18 when in closed position and terminates a distance above the bottom of said body 10 of the refrigerator.
Arranged within the body 10 are the shelves 30, these supporting hooks 31 upon which can be hung fish or other seafood in place within the refrigerator. Immediately above the drawers 18 in the body 10 is a perforated guard or grating 32.
Each drawer is formed with a solid or impcrforate bottom 33 and a perforated false bottom 3 1 elevated from the solid or imperforate body 33, while the back or rear end of each drawer 18 is formed with an opening 35 between the solid or imperforate bottom 33 and the false bottom 34 so that accumulation of water within each drawer will drain off through the opening 35 onto the bottom of the body 10 whence this drainage will be discharged through a drain pipe 36 to without the body 10.
It will'be apparent that a circulation of moisture will be continuously had within the body 10 and this moisture is let off from the contents of the container 21 for the ice and brine therein.
The doors 1 1 and 15 at the front of the body 10 are preferably fitted withglass panels 37 for the display OftllG contents of the refrigerator and an inspection thereof had before the opening of the same.
' What is claimed is o 1. A refrigerator of the kind described comprising a body having an insulating lining, an ice container arranged therein and having a perforated front and a forwardly inclined bottom, a removable ice rack within the container, a plurality of drawers slidably fitted within the body in its lowermost portion and each having an opening at its rear next to the bottom thereof, a perforated false bottom in each drawer, a reticulated rack within the body above the drawers, a drain spout leading from the container at the lowermost point of the body and directly over each drawer, and air circulating tubes arranged rearwardly of the drawers and open- 7 ing into the container.
