Description

Patented Oct. 18, 1932 UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE HENRY R. OCHS, OF WESTPORT, CONNECTICUT, ASSIGNOR TO THE EMBALMERS SUPPLY COMPANY, OF WESTPORT, CONNECTICUT, A CORPORATION 01 CONNECTICUT TISSUE FILLER FOR CORIPSES No Drawing. A plication filed October 12, 1931. Serial No. 568,527.
This invention relates to the art of embalming bodies of the dead and its especial object is to provide a preparation of a liquid tissue filler for the purpose of filling out the sunken places on a thin emaciated corpse and thereby improve the appearance of said corpse by taking away the appearance of suffering and the ravages of disease which would otherwise be apparent, thus improving the appearance of the dead for funeral purposes. 7
Another object of this invention, is to pre serve those tissues with which it comes in contact, so that if by any chance the-embalming fluid used may be prevented from reaching certain tissues, this tissue filler will preserve such tissues asrequire attention.
The invention consists in the use of celluloid chips, methanol, castor oil, oil of cloves, eosine red, tri acetine and ethyl methyl ketone.
This preparation is inexpensive to produce and easy to use and gives better results than massage creams or waxes that have in the past been employed. p
In the practical use of the invention, the tissue filler is injected by means of a hypodermic needle into the sunken spots and the moisture from the body serves to coagulate the tissue filler into an elastic massof the same consistency as the natural flesh and can be easily molded to any contour desired and cannot possibly slip or melt.
What I claim is A liquid for use as a tissue filler for a corpse, consisting of celluloid chips 1 lb. avd.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand. HENRY R. OCHS.
