Insuch -portable tables it isA customary to form the bed or playing surface from a singlecontinuous sheet of some ,composite or laminated material which is of no great thickness or rigidity.' `These portable tables are commonly used on floors or foundationswhich are not carefully leveled or prepared for such use. Under these circumstances, itis verydesirable to be able to straighten or level the playing 'bed of a pool orbilliard table afterjthe table has been placed on its more orless ir# regular foundation. Y
It is the general object of my invention to provide improved means forthus straightenplayingsurface of a pool ing or leveling the or billiard table.
To the accomplishment of this general obof actuating devices by the use of which selected areas of the tablemay be relatively raised or lowered as may be advisable.
My invention further relates to arrange! ments and combinations ofparts which willl be hereinafterl describedand more particu-l larly pointed out inthe appended claims.
A preferred form of the invention is shown in the drawings, in which i e Fgl 1S a Plan View `0f Illyl improved pool or billiard table; Y v v i Fig. 2 is a detailsectional elevation, ftalien along the line 2 2 in Fig. 1 and Fig. 3 is a transverse sectional elevation,
