What I" therefore claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent is 2- 1. A cigarette snufier comprising a base and an upwardly extending portion provided with lateral ears, a. jaw having corresponding ears, said jaw having an inturned end forming a snufiing lip, a pintle through said ears, a U-shaped spring having bearing on said pivot and having its upper end curved and lodged under said lip and outwardly turned beyond said lip to form a stop for the cigarette end when thrust between the jaws.

A cigarette snufier comprising a base and an upwardly extendingportion provided with lateral eats, a jaw having corresponding ears, said jaw. having an inturned end forming a snufiing lip, a pintle through said cars, a. Ushaped spring having bearing on said pivot and having its upper end curved and 1 lodged under said lip and outwardly turned beyond said lip to form a stop for the cigarette end when thrust between the jaws, a handle member comprising a wireloop having its lower ends attached to, the bottom of said jaw, and extending over said upwardly extendingportion.

A cigarette snuffer comprising a base and an upwardly extending portion provided with lateral ears, a jaw havingcorresponding ears, said jaw having an inturned end forming a snufling lip, a pintle through said cars, a U-shaped spring having bearing on said pivot and having its upper end curved and lodged under said lip and outwardly turned beyond said lip to form astop for the cigarette end when thrust between the jaws, a handle member comprisinga wire loop having its lower ends attached to the bottom of said jaw and extending over said upwardly extending portion and adapted to contact the up r end of said supporting member as a stop to hold the jaw in receiving position.

A cigarette snufli'er comprising a base, a suction cup in the base for attachment to an ash tray or the like, an upwardly extending portion on the base, a jaw pivoted thereto, said jaw having a snufiing lip, a spring disposed so as to maintain said jaw open, a handle member comprising a wire loop having its lower ends attached to the bottom of said jaw and extending over said upwardly extending portion and adapted to contact the upper end of said supporting member as a stop to hold the jaw in receiving position.

In a cigarette snufi'er comprising an upwardly extending portion provided with lateral cars, a jaw having corresponding ears, said jaw having an inturned end forming a. snufiing lip, a pintle through said ears, a U- shaped spring having bearing on said pivot and having its upper end curved and lodged under said lip and outwardl turned beyond said lip to form a stop for the cigarette end when thrust between the jaws.
6. A ci arette snufler formed of sheet metal or t e like comprising a base, and an upwardly extending portion provided with laterally bent portions including ears, a jaw having corresponding lateral portions and ears pivoted thereto,said jaw having an inturned end forming a snufling lip, a U-shaped spring having bearing on said pivot and having its upper and curved and lodged under said lip and outwardly turned beyond saidlip to form a stop for the cigarette end when i9 thrust between the jaws.
