A further object of the invention is to provide a dispensing device for the purpose aforesaid which includes a squeezing element for engagement with a collapsible container, such squeezing element including a pair of rollers, one of which is movable in anarc concentric to an actuating member therefor into and out of operative position with respect to the other roller.
A further object of the invention is to provide a dispensing device for the. purposeaforesaid which is extremely simple in its construction, being formed of relatively few parts, positive inoperation, and inexpensive to manufacture.
With the foregoing andother objects in view, the invention consists of the novel construction, combination and arrangement of parts as hereinafter more particularly described,-and as illustrated in the accompany ing drawings wherein arev shown embodiments of the invention, but it is to be understood that the description and drawings are to be taken as illustrative and that the invention is intended to be limited only by the scope of the claims hereunto appended.
In the accompanying drawings in which like numerals are employed to designate like parts throughout the several views:

Figure 6 is a plan of the squeezing element 66 illustrated in Figure 5. Referring to the drawings in detail, the numeral 1 indicates a housing preferably of rectangular formation and provided at one end thereof with a removable end will' 2 in order that a collapsiblecontainersuch as 3 may beinserted into the housing. The removable wall 2 is provided centrally thereof with an opening for the projection of the neck '4 of the container therethrough, the wall 2 further being provided with a clamping means indicated conventionally at 5 for V clamping the neck in position, and with a. closure cap 6 for engagement with the neck 4 to prevent-the removal of "the contents of 0 the container.
tending at right angles to the central portion 12. Formed with the central portion 12 and extending in parallel spaced relation thereto is a tongue 14 which extends into the channel 10. The tongue 14 is of less width than the distance between the channel forming members 9 and isformed with a pair of oppositely extendingprojections 15 for maintaining the tongue 14 in position within the channel 10. The squeezing element '11 further includes a knurled roller 16.which is formed with or mounted on a shaft 17 journaledin the end portions 13 of the yoke-shaped plate.
The squeezing element 11 further includes a knurled roller 18 which is mounted on or formed with a shaft 19 slidably and rotatably extending into a pair of recesses 20 formed in the end portions 13 in concentric relation to a drive shaft 21 journaled in the end portions 13. The drive shaft slidably extends through an elongated slot 23 extending longitudinally of the housing 1. I
The drive shaft 21 is provided at one end thereof with an operating knob 22 having a knurled peripheral face. The drive shaft 21 is further provided with a pair of spaced pinions 24 which are in constant mesh with a pair of spaced gears 25 on the shaft 19.
In the use of the dispensing device above described, the removable wall 2 is removed and the housing 1 is positioned with its open end up which causes the squeezing element 11 to move by gravity toward the closed end of the housing. The container is then inserted into the housing and secured in position by means of the wall 2. When it is desired to eject the contents of the container, the housing is inverted, which causes the squeezing element to move by gravity into a position to bring the rollers 18 and 16 into engagement with the container on opposite sides of the latter, the shaft 19 automatically assuming the proper position with respect to the recesses 20. The drive shaft 21 is then rotated for the purpose of rotating the roller 18, by means of which an inner end portion of the container is squeezed between the rollers 18 and 16. When it is desired to remove the empty container, the direction of the drive shaft is reversed to move the roller 18 out of engagement with the container, thereby permitting the ready withdrawal of the latter through the open end of the housing.
In the form of squeezing element illustrated in Figures 5 and 6, the end portions 26 of the yoke-shaped plate have journaled therein the shaft 27 of a roller 28 which is provided with a series of elongated teeth 29 extending throughout the length of the roller. Having its shaft 30 slidably and rotatably mounted within the arcuate recesses 31 of the end portions 26 is a roller 32 which is provided on its peripheral face with a series of elongated teeth 33 which are in permanent mesh with similar teeth 34 on a drive shaft 35. The recesses 31 are concentrically arranged with respect to the shaft 35. In this form of squeezing element, the entire roller 32 constitutes a gear which is driven from a pinion co-extensive in length with the roller and forming an integral part of the shaft 35. With such an arrangement for rotating the roller 32, there are no pinions or gears which may work loose on their shafts, and owing to the length of the meshing teeth, there is no possibility of the same becoming broken or stripped.
It is thought that the many advantages of a dispensing device in accordance with this invention will be readily apparent, and although the device preferably will be constructed in accordance with the embodiments herein illustrated and describe-d, it is to be understood that changes in the size, shape and arrangement of parts may be resorted to, so long as such changes fall within the scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
What I claim is 1. A dispensing device comprising, a housing for receiving a collapsible contamer, and a squeezing element slidably mounted withln the housing, said squeezing element including a carrier, a pair of rollers for abutment with the container on opposite sides thereof, and a drive shaft for one of said rollers, one of said rollers being rotatably supportedby the carrier, the other of said rollers being rotatably supported by the carrier and further being slidably supported thereby to provide for bodily movement of such roller in an arc concentric to the drive shaft.
2. A dispensing device comprising, a housing for receiving a collapsible container, means within the housing to form a channel extending longitudinally thereof, and a squeezing element slidably connected w th said channel forming means, said squeezing element including a carrier, a pair of rollers for abutment with the container on opposite sides thereof, and a drive shaft for rotating one of said rollers, said roller rotated by the drive shaft being supported by the carrier to provide for rotating movement of the roller and further to provide for bodily sliding movement thereof in an arc concentrlc to the drive shaft, the other of said rollers being rotatably supported by the carrier.

A dispensing device comprising, a housing for receiving a collapsible container, means within the housing to form a channel extending longitudinally thereof, and a squeezing element slidably connected with said channel forming means, said squeezing element including an angular plate having end portions thereof arranged in opposed relation, a pair of rollers rotatably supported by said end portions for abutment with the container on opposite sides thereof, and a drive shaft rotatably supported by said end portions, said end portions being formed, with arcuate slots concentric to said drive shaft, one of said rollers being mounted on a shaft slidably extending through said slots.

A dispensing device comprlsmg, a housing for receiving 7 a collapsible container, means within the housing to form a channel extending longitudinally thereof, and a squeezing element slidably connected with said channel forming means, said squeezing element including an angular plate having end portions thereof arranged in opposed relation, a pair of rollers rotatably supported by said end portions for abutment with the container on opposite sides thereof, and a drive shaft supported by said end portions for rotating one of said rollers, said end portions being formed with arcuate slots concentric to said drive shaft, said roller rotated by the drive shaft being mounted on a shaft extending through said slots. 0 1

A dispensing device comprising, a housing for receiving a collapslble container, mean's within the housing to form a channel extending longitudinally thereof, and a squeezing element slidably connected with said channel forming means, said squeezing element including an angular plate-having end ortions thereof arranged in opposed relation, a pair of rollers rotatably supported by said end portions for abutment with the container on opposite sides thereof, and a drive shaft rotatably supported by said end portions, said drive shaft and one of said rollers having means to provide constantly meshing gears, said end portions formed with arcuate slots concentric to said drive shaft, the rollel' having a gear being mounted on a shaft extending through said slots.
6. A dispensing device comprising, a housing for receiving a collapsible container, 7
means within the. housing to form a channel extending. longitudinally thereof, and a squeezing element slidably connected with said channel forming means, said squeezing element including a carrier, a pair of rollers rotatably supported by the carrier for abutment with the container on opposite 'sides v thereof, and a drive shaft for rotating one of said rollers, said drive shaft and the roller rotated thereby having means to provide constantly meshin gears, the roller having a gear being bodlly movable in an arc concentric to the drive shaft.
