This invention relates in casket construction.

The principal object of this invention is to provide a casket wherein the outer porto improvements tion of the casket may be used over again,

thus decreasing the cost of burial and cremation.

A further object is to produce a device of this character which will have all the appearances of an ordinary casket.

A further object is to provide simple means whereby the inner casket may be removed from the outer casket.

Other objects and advantages will be apparent during the course of the following description.

In order to secure the casket 7 within the shell 5, we. provide a plurality of spring clips 9 and 11. These clips are each provided upon their lower ends with hooked extremities 12 adapted to under-lie the casket 7 so as to hold the same within the shell in such a position that the top edge 13 of the casket 7 will be in engagement with the top edge of the shell 5. In order to clips 9 and 11 toward the shell so as to remove the hooked extremities 12 from beneath the shell, we employ threaded members 14 having handles 16 attached thereto. These threaded members extend thru the shell 5 lb and are rotatably secured in their respective spring clips in their lower ends of the respective spring clips 9 and 11.

It will thus be seen that when the casket 7 1s positioned within the shell 5 and the our invention herewith shown and described is to be taken as a preferred example of the same and that various changes relative to the material, size, shape and arangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit of of the subjointed claim.

Having thus described our invention, we claim In a device of the character described, a
