Patented pr. 28, 1931 STATES OMER J'. PO'ULIN, OF LEWISTON, MAINE BRO 0M HOLDER Application led August 26, 1930. Serial No. 477,944.
The present invention relates to a broom holder and has for its prime object to provide a device which may be nailed or otherwise fastened to the wall or the like for the purpose of holding brooms, mops and the like.
Another very important object ofthe invention resides in the provision of a device of this nature which is exceedingly simple in its construction, inexpensive to manul facture, strong and durable, and thoroughly etlicient and reliable in use. i With the above and numerous other objects in view as will appear as the description proceeds, the invention resides in certain novel i features of construction, and in the combination and arrangement of parts as will be hereinafter more fully described and claimed.
In the drawings: j
Figure l is a perspective view of the device embodying the features of my invention,
` and Figure 2 is an end elevation thereof,
Referring to the drawings in detail it will seen that the numeral 5 having the reduced end portions at the top and bottom thereof as denoted respectively by numerals 6 and 7 to form ears and having opening 8 and 9 therein for the purpose of fastening elements so that the plate may '3 be secured to the wall or like supporting structure.
A central longitudinal block l() is fastened on the central plate 5 in any suitable manner A rectangular and has conca-ved sides 1l.
l0 and overlaps the sides thereof. Side blocks let are fastened to the sides of the plate 5 and have plates l5 fastened thereon to extend inwardly of the blocks l0. Disks 16 are disposed between the blocks l0 and 14 and are prevented from displacement by the plates l2 and l5 and also are of greater diameter than the width between the nearer portions of the block l0 and adjacent portions ofthe and advantages of this invention will now denotes a plate l be quite apparent to those skilled in this apt without a more detailed description thereo The present embodiment of the invention has been described in considerable detail merely for the purposes of exempliication since in actual practice it attains the features of advantage enumerated as desirable in the statement of the invention and the above description.
It will be apparent thatchanges in the details of construction, and in the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit or scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed orV sacrificing any of its advantages.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new 1s:
A. device of the class described comprising a plate having a central block thereon and a pair of side blocks in spaced relation to the central block, said central block having its edges adjacent the side blocks concaved, a plate on the central block of greater width than said central block, plates on the side blocks of greater width than the side blocks and extending inwardly therefrom, and disks locate-d between the central and the side blocks'and being' of greater diameter than the nearest points of the central block to adjacent points of the side blocks.
In testimony whereof l aiix my signature.
OMER J. POULIN.
