This invention relates to certain new and useful improvements in display cabinets and more particularly to a type of cabinet showing greeting cards and the like, the cabinet `comprising a multi-leafed cover section for displaying various kinds of cards with an appropriate classification and price notation for cards indexed in the cabinet.

A further object of the invention is to prole vide in a display cabinet of the above type,

a novel form of cover that comprises hinged sections with the free edge of the lower part of the hinged cover sections being hinged to the cabinet body in a manner to permit the l5 upper cover section to be raised for the display of greeting cards and the like upon opposed faces of the sections, with the lower cover section remaining in closing engagement with the open upper end of the cabinet.

A. still Jfurther object of the invention is to provide a relatively short hinged leaf between the two hinged cover sections for the further display of greeting cards and the like upon both sides thereof, all of the greeting cards being hidden from view when the two cover sections are closed, while the classilied stock of greeting cards placed in the cabinet hidden from view and protected from outside elements when the upper cover section alone is raised.

With the above and other objects in view that will become apparent as the nature of the invention is better understood, the saine consists in the novel form, combination and arrangement of parts hereinafter more fully described, shown in the accompanying drawings and claimed.

In the drawings Figure l is a perspective view of a greeting card display cabinet constructed in accordance with the present invention, the cover section for the cabinet being entirely closed;

Figure 2 is a perspective view of the display cabinet with the upper section of the cover raised and limited in such movement by the tapes extending between the sections of the cover, the relatively shorter intermediate section of the cover being lowered, and showing the greeting cards on display;

From the above detailed description of the invention, it is believed that the construction and operation thereof will at once be apparent, it being noted that the greeting cards or similar articles are capable of prominent display while the stock of cards for sale confined within the cabinet are fully protected from soiling by handling` or the lil-ze. rIhe additional iiy leaf between the hinged walls of the cover sections provide for an increased display, while the pasters 14 associated with the displayed cards carry the index key to the classified subject matter in the cabinet.

`While there is herein shown and described the preferred embodiment ofthe present invention, it is nevertheless to be understood that minor changes may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as claimed.

` What I claim as new is l. A display cabinet comprising a cabinet section, and a hinged cover section including a pair of hinged walls with display areas on the adjacent faces thereof.

2. A display cabinet comprising a cabinet section and a hinged cover section including a pair of hinged walls with display areas on the opposed faces thereof, and a display leaf hinged between the walls of the cover section.

3. A display cabinet comprising a cabinet section and a hinged cover section including a pair of hingedwalls with display areas on the opposedl faces thereof, means for limiting opening movement of the upper wall of the cover section, and a display leaf hinged be tween the walls of the cover section.

4. In a display cabinet wherein a cabinet body contains classified stock and a hinged f cover for the cabinet body displaying samples of the stock and bearing reference to the stock, said hinged cover comprising a pair of upper and lower walls hinged together with an edge of the lower wall hinged to the cabi-y net body.

5. In a display cabinet wherein a lcabinet i body contains classified stock and a hinged coverfor the cabinet body displaying samples ofthe stock and bearing reference to the stock, said hinged cover comprising a pair of walls hinged together at edges spaced from the hinge connection between the cover and cabinet body, and a display leaf joined to the hinge connection between the cover walls.

6. A display cabinet comprising a cabinet body, and a cover section hinged thereto including hinged walls with the lower wall hinged to the body and opening in a direction reverse to the opening movement of the cover section whereby the cover walls may be separated and the cabinet body remain closed.
