The numeral 1 marks a wall which need not be described element by element, it being sufficient for the present disclosure that the. wall includes a body 2 and a facing 3, the facing being in the form of plaster, tile, or anything else, commonly used in the construction of a bathroom. In the wall 1, a recess 4 is formed.

,In carrying out the invention, there is provided a box-like receptacle 5 which fits in the recess 4, the receptacle preferably being made of metal and being open at the front only. Angle brackets 6 are provided, and their horizontal flanges are connected by securing or clamping devices 7, such as screws, to the top and bottom walls of the receptacle 5. The vertical flanges of the angle brackets 6 overlap the body 2 ofthe wall and are connected thereto by securing elements 8, which may be nails. The receptacle 5 thus is held in the recess 4, and when the facing 3 is applied, it comes out about flush withthe forward end of the receptacle 5 and with the forward ends of the outstanding flanges of the angle brackets 6. The facing 3 holds the securing elements 8 against moving outwardly.

A finishing frame 9 is provided, and includes inwardly extended wings 10 that extend back into the receptacle 5. The frame 9 overlaps the crack between the receptacle 5 and the wall of the recess 4 and gives a neat finish-an observation which will be understood readily when Figure 1 is noted. The upper'and lower wings of the finishing frame 9 have notches or seats 11 in their inner edges, and thesenotches or seats receive (the screws 7, so that when the screws are set up tightly, their heads will bind against the upper and lower wings or flanges of the finishing frame 9 and hold it in place. Here note that the screws 7 exercise a two-fold oflice in that they hold both the frame 9 and the anchoring angle brackets 6 in place on the rece tacle 5. The uppermost wing 10 of the nishing frame 9 has a trough-shaped bearing 12 adapted to receive, pivotally, the intermediate portion of a U-shaped hanger 14. As shown at 15, in Figure 5, the ends of the uppermost wing on the frame 9 are spaced from the side wings of the frame, so that the hanger 14 can be engaged readily in the bearing 12 before the frame 9 is connected to the receptacle 5 by advancing the screws 7. The side arms 16 of the hanger 14 extend downwardly through the spaces at 15 into the receptacle 6 and terminate in angularly disposed fingers 17 whereon the roll 18 is journaled in the usual way, the arms 16 having spring enough so that the fingers 17 may be detached readily from the roll 18, when the roll is swung out clear of the frame 9 and its wings 10, from What is claimed is 1. In a device of the class described, a receptacle, an angle bracket on the outside of the receptacle, a tightening device connecting the angle bracket with the receptacle, a finishing frame having wings extended withinv the receptacle, one wing being provided in its inner edge with a notch receiving the tightening device, and a roll hanger pivotally mounted on one of the Wings.
