MISSOURI WINDOW Application filed August 23 This invention relates to an improvement in awnings and has for its primary object the purpose of providing an awning of the roller type which is simple and inexpensive in its manufacture and in the hanging or mounting thereof.

Another object of the invention is in providing an awning with improved means for rolling and unrolling the awning and for permitting the lower portion of the awning to swing outwardly in a projecting manner.

A further object of the invention is in providing the awning with an improved frame structure which is co-operable withthe awnl5 ing in the raising and lowering operations.

Other and further objects will appear in the specification and be specifically pointed out in the appended claims, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, exemplifying the invention, and in which Figure 1 is a perspective view of this improved awning showing it in a lowered position.

Referring by numerals to the accompanyings, 1 designates a window frame and secured to the upper cross member 2 of said frame are a pair of brackets 3 for the support of the pins 4 of a roller 5, and secured on said roller at one end is an awning fabric 6.

Secured to the window frame 1 is a guiding frame 7, said frame being made of a single material length bent so as to form a pair of vertically disposed guiding legs 8 each having a foot 9 formed at its lower end, and securing means such as 10 pass through each foot for securing the lower end of said legs to the window frame. The upper end of each leg 8 is bent outwardly from the window frame as designated at 11, and extending outwardly from each bent portion 11 is a downwardly extending portion 12, said portions 12 pa 'allelling the legs 8 and joining AWNING Serial No. 130,854.
