IMPROVEMENT IN DETACHA'BLE PISTOL-GRIPS FOR FIRE-ARMS.

. reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making part of this specification,

in which-- Figure 1 is .a side elevation, and Fig. 2 an inverted plan view, showing-my pistol-grip. Fig. 3 is a sectional view'ot' my pistol-grip applied to the trigger-plate of an ordinary gun. Fig. 4 shows my pistolgrip, a trigger-guard, and a trigger-plate made in onepiece.

, My invention consists in a grip for guns made separate from the stock and adapted to be attached'thereto.

Figs. 1 and-2 show my improved pistolgrip ready to be attached to an ordinary gun not having a grip. In Fig. 4 the pistol-grip A B, trigger-guard 0, and trigger-plate G are wrought out of one piece of metal. This plan admits of the grip being attached to-and removed from the steel; without marring it, it simply being necessary to screw in or out the screw or screws which 1 fasten the-trigger-plate in position upon the stock.

It will thus be seen thatI have made a pistol-grip in the form or likeness of the lowerpart of the stock of a pistol, and which is adapted for attachment-to the stock of a gun, (and readily detachable.therefrom, if desired) andwhich can be conveniently grasped by thehand of the sportsman when taking aim and during the-actotf'liring.

Figs. 5 and 6 of the drawings illustrate my grip for ready attachmentto Sharps rifles,-
