Referring now more particularly to the drawings, wherein like numerals of reference designate similar parts in each of the figures, the numeral 1 designates the burner body, which is substantially cylindrical in form and which has an air inlet 2 controlled by the inlet valve 3, which is operable through the valve lever 4, fixed to the stem 5 of the valve. The numeral 6 gated cylindrical air nozzle which is threaded into one end of the body 1 and which may be formed of sections, if desired, as shown. The burner is supported by a suitable annular bracket 7, through which the air nozzle 6 extends and to which it is secured by means of a conventional clamp nut 8. The bracket 7 is provided for conveniently mounting the burner. ing 25 around the adjacent end of the oil feed line 23. This nozzle flares outwardly at different tapers, or flares, as shown in Figure 1, each taper from the inner to the outer end thereof, having a greater pitch or flare than the preceding taper.
Fixed to the oil feed line 23 and spaced from the nozzle 24 there is a spray head 26.
e epthe ot r n f the, ra t 2 her i This head has the internal chamber 27 and I the head is preferably formed of two sections, suitably bolted together, as indicated in Figures 2 and 3. Leading out from the chamber 27 and substantially tangential thereto are the discharge outlets 28.
The fuel is forced throughthe line 23 into chamber 27 and out through the channels 28 against the inner wall of the nozzle 24 and the nozzle is rotated at a high rate of speed. Upon -leaving the spray head the oil will'distributeitself automatically around the nozzle walls and will gradually move toward the discharge-end-of the nozzle and will be ejected therefrom in a. fog-like vapor so that it will be thoroughly atomized.

A hydrocarbon b'urneiincluding a burner body substantially cylindrical in form and provided with an-air inlet, an elongated cylindrical air nozzle carried by said body, a bracket formed with a nipple which is tted into the other end of the burner body, a tubular sleeve anchored to said nipple and disposed Within said body,

A hydrocarbon burner including a burner body, provided with an air inlet, an elongated tubular air nozzle carried by one end of said body, a bracket having a nipple which is fitted into the other end of the burner body, a tubular sleeve anchored 'to said nipple and disposed within said body, a tubular shaft extending axially through said nipple and through said sleeve, hearings in the "nipple and in the free end of the'sleeve in which said shaft runs, an oil line extend ing axially through said shaft, an atomizving nozzle within said air nozzle and fixed to the adjacent end of said shaft-and having a bearing on said oil line, ah'ead fixed to said oil line withinandspaced from said'atom'izing nozzle and formed with an internal leading therefrom,

4. A hydrocarbon burner including. burner body, provided with an air inlet, an elongated tubular air nozzle carried by one end of said body, a bracket formed with :a nipple which is fitted into the other end of the burner body, a tubular sleeve anchored to said nipple and disposed within said body,
