Another object is' a vholder inwhich fthe-4 bags in any of the individual holders are la held lirmly in place by the combined weight ot' the bags Vand spring inthe steel of the holder above, or in case of the top holder by the spring in the steel ot'they clip.

Another object is a paper bag holder zo made up in tiers, suclrthatthe bottom holder in each tier contains the largest size bags, each holder decreasing in size as the vertical or upward progression continues, the number oi' holders in each tier varying with the number of dil'lerent sizes of bags required.

Another object is a paper bag holder rotatable about a vertical axis with the individual bag holders suspended in tiers from the top of the contrivance and the whole oc 3G cupying a minimum of space.

Another object is a bag holder that will' hold a sufficient number of bags, and will release one or more bags at the will ot the operator in one operation at the minimum exertion without tearing or otherwise mutilating the bags.

Still another Objectis a bag holder having a twine holder attached to the top thereof and revolving therewith and of simple construction and easeof operation.

Other objects will readily occur to thos `skilled in the art upon reference to the fol-k lowing description and drawing in which;

The cap 21 consists cfa metal Fblock drilled andftapped and provided with a `socket .on one `end for shaft 1G. yThe top end is titted withiour `tapped holes, `the hole at the cen ter being tapped for the bolt 28 while the remaining three holes are spaced about the center each preferably tapped to receive a locating peg (not shown). y

The bag holders 18 each consists of two ythin strips l and 2 ont a spring material, preferably steel, bent, crossed and fastened together as by riveting in such manner as to hold a Vquantity of paper bags. The strip l is made in various lengths depending on the A length ot' the bags and is bent on one end as at where it is punchedto lit over the locating peg in the cap 2l. The bottom end is bent and shaped as at t and 5, the length 4 i depending on the quantity of bags to be held. The dimension of 5 depending upon the size of numbering desired to show the size of the bags in each particular holder. The crossstrip 2 is bent at both ends forming sides 6, the distance between them depending on the width of the bags. The bent ends 7 are tor the purpose of preventing the. bags from being mutilated while `being placed into or removed from holders. The length of the bent ends 6 depends on the quantity of bags, and its position Von strip l i depends on the length of the bags. In other words, strip lhol'ds the bags and strip 2 acts as-a guide and prevents side movement of the bags.

'I he top clip 19 is likewise a thin strip yof i spring material, preferably steel, and is used to keep the bags in each top holder of each tier compactly in place'. This clip is bent slightly a short distance Jfrom one end and provided with a hole to slip over the locating peg the other end being ,rolled to prevent tearing of the bags.

The individual bag holders 18 are grouped in tiers, the smaller sizes being uppermost4 in the series and arranged upon cap 21 so that the total Weight` of tiers of bags is. evenly distributed around the supportingV shaft l5. The individual bag holders 18 and clip 19 are suspended from the cap 21 by being dropped over the locating pegs and are clamped securely in placeby the washer 23 and nut- 26 on bolt 28. The bolt 28 as illustrated is screwed into the top of cap 21.

The brace 17 may be fastened securely to the bottom bag holder of each tier and securely` clampedto the cylindrical `shaft or casing 16 in any suitable manner.

The twine guide 25 is preferably a metal rod bent and looped atbothends and is held pearance a pyramid having as many sides as there are tiers of bags. In the construction shown and described three tiers are indicated minor modification of the rest of the device.

Having now described the invention and `the preferred form of embodiment thereof,

it is to be understood that said invention is not limited to the precise details shown and described but only by the scope of the claims which follow.

l. In a combined bagand twine holder, a vertical shaft fixed to abase member, a cap rotatable thereon, and means on said cap for securing thereto a plurality ot' holders for bags said means forming a support for twine. p

In a combinedlbagr and twine holder, a vertical shaftfixed to a base member, a` cap rotatable thereon, a hollonT shaft secured t0 said cap and enclosing said verticalshaft to prevent lateral displacement of the cap, means to prevent vertical displacement `of said cap and hollow shaft,v and means` on said cap for securingthereto a plurality of holders for bags and formed to constitute a support for twine. p
