Fix-10 is a cross section on lineX-X of Referring novv to the form disclosed byl Figs. 1 to 4, inclusive, A designates a suitable foundation, such, for instance as concrete Which is preferably constructed on the sitev of the building. 2 designates one ofthe sills which is set upon the foundation A. As disclosed more particularly by Figs. 2 and 3, the sills 2 consistof three memberS-a'relatively thin intermediate member 4, an inside member 6, and an outside member 8. The inside and outside sill members 6 and 8, respectively, are thicker than the intermediate sill member 4, but the latter projects above rthe former, as shown by Fig. 2. The three sill members 4, 6 and 8 are nailed, bolted, or`
otherwise firmly secured together.
10 designates a plurality of Wall panels consisting, preferably, of concrete. The outer surface of thetop plates 20L are reinforced and covered sa; f nes/asse by stringers 22, which are held in place by the upper portions of the outside columns 14a. A
The outside columns 14a are arranged intermediate corner columns 30a, which entend from the foundation Af" to the upper margins of the stringers 22a.
The outer sill members 8, columns 14 and 30, and stringers 22a, consist preferably of concrete to correspond with 'the concrete wall panels 10a. e
36a designates the rafters of the biuildingr which rest upon the upper ends of the inside columns 12a and are covered with sheathing 38a upon which a roofing composition 40n is laid. An air space is formed at the upper portion of the building by` means of the roof and a plurality of ceiling panels 50, which are preferably'of the same size and material as theV wall panels 1 01 and 44.A The ceiling panels 50 are supported by a frame consisting preferably of longitudinal channel bars 52 and transverse .channel bars 54, which latter are connected to the former by angle plates 5G. The longitudinal channel bars 52 are secured by suitable means such as bolts 58 to the inside columns "12a andare further supported by the upright channel bars 45, which rest upon the foundation Aa. The underside of the forms as properly fall within the spirit andV scope of the' invention as claimed.vv
Having thus described my invention, what I claim and desire torsecure byv Letters Pat--v ent, is: Y
l. In a building ofthe character ldescribed, a vsill consisting of inside, outsidev and intermediatemembers the upper margin of which latter extends above the 'upper margins of the former; vertical wall panels resting upon said intermediate sill member; a top plate resting upon said wall panels; and inside and outside columns resting upon the inside and outside sill membersV and clamped against the inner and outerv surfaces of the intermediate sill, member, the wall panels and the top platefto holdv them in assembled position.
2. In a building of the `charac-ter de- Y scribed, a sill., vertical wallY panels resting l upon said sill, a top plate resting upon said wall panels, a'stringer securedY to said top plate to reinforcel the same, fand columns resting upon the silland clamped against the wall panels and the inner' and outer surfacesofthe top` plate to hold the latter and saidpanels in assembledv position.
vIn testimony whereof I aiX-myfsignature.
