ERNST S ECACE, F GORLITZ IN SCHLESI EN, GERMANY.
HEADREST FOR BATES.
A pplication flled March 10, .1927, Serial No. 174,393, and in Germany March 11, 1926.
My present invention relates to head rests for baths and more particularly to headrests made of rubber-sponge, the object being to remove the objections of the usual forms of pads suspended from the upper rim of a bath, said objections consisting in that the rubber sponge from which such pads are made, will suck in water, whereby the hair of the user will be disagreeably moistened.
According. to my invention, this objection will beavoided by the provision of a watertight film on the upper and front sides of the rubber sponge. l
One preferred form of-my invention is 15 illustrated in the accompanying drawings,
. wherein:
Fig. 1 is a front elevation and I Fig. 2 a transverse section of the head-rest made of spongy rubber for bathson a. re- 2 duced scale. p 7
Attached to a wire a, bent accordin to the rounded rim a of the bath 6, is a t '0];
leaf of rubber d." Secured on the latter is ,A head-rest of spongy the head-rest proper 9 formed of spongy rubber or similar material and the upper and front sides of which are covered with a Water-tight film k. 'The leaf of rubber d bears on the wall of the bath 6, whereby relative displacements of the head-rest will be avoided. Hot Water will enter the rubber sponge g from below and heat the same. At the same time the water-ti ht film It prevents the hair of the user from being disagreeably moistened.
Having now fully described my said invention, what I claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is:
