This invention, stated in its broadest terms, relates to wire winding machinery "of the automatic type and has more especial rel-ation to machinery of this type in which small b `coils ofwire yare formed andjsiinultaneously secured between adjacent coiled springs for holding vthe latter togethen i The invention consists of the novelconstruction hereinafter described and finally l@ claimed. Thus, as the guiderollers feed "wire Y12 to the meeting gauge parts the wire is forced around inside the same to form a coil 19, as seen in Fig. 9. As the wi're -12"`is fed through the rollers 7;-8 it`may, if found desirable, strain out the wire prior to being `fed through the saidrollers by means ofi straining rollers 20,1se`e Figs.` 1 andB.
