I I am aware that prior to my invention extensionhandles for wrenches have'been provided, but all thosewhich have come to my attention have involved relatively expensive 4constructions or lthe usel of spring latches or devices of special character for holding the wrench in place on the handle, thus adding to the cost of production of the article and in some instances limiting its utility. An extension handle for wrenches comprising a handle proper, there being a flat laterally off-set portion extending forwardly of and connected with the handle proper by a. short lateral portion, said forwardly rextending fiat offset portion having its axis parallel with the axis of the handle, the front of said extension having a laterally projecting U-shaped stirrup to receive the shank of the wrench whose jaws receive said lateral portion, said U-shaped stirrup being extended below the plane of the handle and forward extension thereof, all being arranged whereby when the wrench is placed handle for double ended wrenches but what I do claim and desire to :tightening or loosening a :nutQ
