This invention relatesto a dispensing apparatus and has for its principalobject to provide a-construction whereby regulating mechanism is employed capable of being adjusted so as to discharge the liquid from the tank in predetermined quantities.
Another important object of the invention is toiprovide a liquid dispensing apparatus of theabove mentioned character, which is especially adapted for use in connection with concretemixers orthe like.
A still further object of theinvention is to provide a liquid dispensing apparatus which is adapted foruse with concrete mixing machineswherein it is desirous of measuring the several ingredients used in preparing the concrete.
Another important obj ectof the invention is to provide a-liquid dispensing apparatus which is simple in construction, inexpensive, strong, durable and further well adapted for the purposes for which it is designated. 7

In the drawings wherein for the purpose of illustration is shown the preferred em bodiment of my invention. the numeral 1 indicates the tank. which may be of any ,desir-able form'but is preferably of the shape illustrated in the drawings. The top of the tank 1 is provided with an inlet opening 2 adjacent one end thereof and extending upwardly from the top of the tank 1 and fitting within said inlet opening 2 is the inlet pipe 3. This inlet pipe 3 has the lower end thereof threaded. as shown at 4, to engagethe threads of the inlet opening 2. The inlet pipe is of a substantial length and is provided at its upper end with the valve 5, the

valve 5 being of the usual construction. It is not thought necessary to go-into detail as to the construction of the valve. Theupper end of the inlet pipe 3, it is to be understood is to be connected to a suitable source of hater supply for the purposes hereinafter to be more fully described.
The-tank 1 isalsoprovided with an outlet opening .6 in the bottom of the tank adapted for the attachment -of the vdownwardly extending outlet or discharge pipe 7. The outlet pipe 7 is also provided with a valve 8 similar to the valve 5 in the inlet pipe 3 and it is to he understood that the valve 5 is in an open position in the inlet pipe 3 when the valve 7 is in a closed position in the discharge or outlet pipe 7 The lower end of the outletpipe-i' is. provided withv a suitable nipple 9 wherebythe same may be connected to the concrete mixer,.not shown, for the purposes of supplying "the water from the tank 1 to the concrete mixing machine.
The valves 5 and 8 respectively are provided with the outwardly extending levers 10..and 11 respectively and-the freeends. of these levers 10 and 11 are ,fastenedor Connected by any suitable fastening means to the elongated actuating rod 12. i The rod 12 has at its lower end and pivotally connected thereto the handle 13 which is pivotally supported at 1% upon any suitable support 15. The purpose of this construction is to enable the operation of the valves 5 and 8 respectively to be closed and opened simultaneously by the operation of the handle 13 and the actuating rod 12 which lS',CO11- HGCQGCl to the levers 10 and 11.
The tank 1 is provided with an enlarged opening 16 in the top thereof and :a suitable cover 17 is provided therefor. This opening 16 is to enable a person to have access to the interior of the tank 1 whenever necessary and also for the purposes of assembling various parts which are contained -within the receptacle or. tank 1.

it will be seen '11'1'111'1 the foregoing d0- 11 11 11111011 that a liquid dispensing appara- 1113 has been provided \vhmrein a certain quantity of liquid may be measured into a tank and the same dispensed therefrom in. a simple and efficient manner. Furthermore the manner in which the liquid is measured enables the tank to be used for various purposes and is not alone restricted to the use of a concrete mixing machine.
From the foregoing description of the construction of my improved apparatus, it will be seen that I have provided a simple, inexpensive and efficient means for carrying out the objects of the invention and while I have particularly described the elements best adapted to perform the functions set forth, it is obvious that various changes in form, proportion and in the minor details of construction may be resorted to, without departing from the spirit or sacrificing any of the principles of the invention.
W hat I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is 1. A liquid dispensing apparatus comprising a tank, an inlet pipe extending up wardly therefrom, a discharge pipe extending from the bottom oi said tank, a. valve in each of said pipes, the valve in said inlet pipe being open when the valve in said discharge pipe is closed, a tube in said tank having its upper end slidably receivable in said inlet pipe, a float mechanism associated with said tube, and adapted to control the liquid supply through said inlet pipe and said tube, and means formanually raising and lowering said tube for adjusting said float mechanism to a predetermined height.

A liquid dispensing apparatus comprising a tank, an inlet pipe extending upwardly tl'ierefrom. a discharge pipe extending from the bottom of said tank, a valve in each of said pipes, the valve in said inlet pipe being open when the valve in said discharge pipe is closed, a tube in said tank having its upper end slidably received in said inlet pipe, an enlarged head carried by the lower end of said tube, a float cont-rolled valve carried by said enlarged head, means externally arranged on said tank and cooperating with said tube for manually raising and lowering the latter and simultaneously adjusting the height of said float valve mechanism within the tank, and means for operating said inlet and outlet valves simultaneously.

A liquid dispensing apparatus comprising a tank, an inlet pipe extending upwardly therefrom, a discharge pipe extending from the bottom of said tank. a valve in each of said pipes, the valve in said inlet pipe being open when the valve in said discharge pipe is closed, a tube in said tank and having its upper end slidably received in said inlet pipe, an enlarged head threaded into engagement with the lower end of said tube, a float controlled valt e carried by said enlarged head, means externally arranged on said tank and cooperating with said tube for manually raising and lowering the latter and simultaneously adjusting the height of said float valve mechanism within the tank, and means for operating said inlet and outlet valves simultaneously. 4. A liquid dispensing apparatus eomprising a tank, an inlet pipe extending upwardly therefrom, a discharge pipe extending from the bottom of said tank, a Valve in each of said pipes, means for actuating said valves so that the valve in the inlet pipe will be open when the valve in the discharge pipe is closed, a tube disposed in said tank and having its upper portion slidably mounted in said inlet pipe, an enlarged head threaded into engagement with the lower end of said tube, a float-controlled valve mounted in said head, a vertical rack member removably secured to the lower end of said tube and projecting through an opening in the top of said tank, a laterally projecting shaft rotatably supported on the top of said tank, a pinion mounted on one end of said shaft meshing with the teeth of said rack, and a handle member carried on the outer end of said shaft for rotating the latter and correspondingly raising and lowering said tube to adjust the height of said float controlled valve within the tank, as and for the purposes described.
A liquid dispensing apparatus comprising a tank, an inlet pipe extending upwardly therefrom, adischarge pipe extending from the bottom of said tank, a Valve in each of said pipes, means for actuating said valves so that the valve in the inlet pipe will be open when the valve in the discharge pipe is closed, a tube disposed in said tank and having its upper portion slidably mounted in said inlet pipe, an enlarged hollow head member having a tubular extension formed thereon threaded into engagement with the lower end of said tube, said head member being provided with an upper threaded opening, a closure engaged with the threaded opening of said head member, said head member being also provided in the side wall adjacent its lower end with a threaded opening, a short pipe section having one end threaded into engagement with the last mentioned threaded opening in the head member and extending downwardly and outwardly with respect to the latter, a pivoted valve member supported within the head member to form a closure for the inner end of said shortpipe section, a float member fulcrumed on the outer end of said short pipe section and having connection at its inner end with said valve to actuate the latter, and means for raising and lowering said tube within the tank, as and for the purposes described,
