Application filed June 11, 1925.

The object generally of this invention is to provide an improved table for a radio set, said table containing a chamber for receiving the storage battery, loud speaker,

tools and other accessories necessary or useful in repairing or operating a radio set.

Other objects will appear from the disclosure herein.

The invention is embodied in the example herein shown and described, the features of novelty being finally claimed.

In the views 6 designates the legs between the upper portions of which are secured suitable frame members including upper and lower horizontal longitudinal members 7, 8, 9 and 10, the frame members 7 and 8 being the front ones and 9 and 10 the rear.

Secured vertically between and at the rear of the front frame members 7 and 8 are two brace bars 11 and 12 these being located and spaced apart as indicated in broken lines Fig. 1. In the upper horizontal frame member 7 between the vertical brace bars l1 and 12 is a groove 13 and in the frame member 8 is a parallel groove formed by a short piece or pieces of quarter-round 14 attached to the rear rabbeted corner of the member 8. Set in the groove ust described is a grille l5. 'lo permit the insertion or removal of this grille after the frame inembers are assembled the distance between the bottom of said grooves is made greater than the width of the grille.

The frame members 7 and 8 are further provided with grooves 16 and 17 respectively for the reception of sliding doors 18 and 19. To permit the insertion of these doors after the frame members are assembled the groove 16 is made deeper at its central portion as indicated at 16a Fig. 5, so that the doors may be raised thereinto, one at a time at its upper edge to permit the lower edge to be moved into position to drop into the lower groove 17 after which Serial No. 36,360.

The openings closed by these doors afford access from the front of the table for the apprehension of things within the chamber.

The structure is provided with a bottom 23 and closing ends like that shown at 24.

0n the bottom is supported a sound boX or loud speaker 25 and a suitable connector therefor 26, the loud speaker opening in rear of the grille.

The rear frame members 9 and 10v are grooved to removably receive a large door 27 provided with a handle 28 by means of which it can be inserted and removed, said door permitting the placing of the batteries used in radio equipment.

The chamber below the table top is designated to afford ample space for all the equipment, tools and so forth of the radio apparatus except the radio set which is to be supported on the table top where it can be conveniently manipulated.

If, in the modification shown in Fig. 5, a greater movement of the door 19 is required to effect a full opening thereof the upper edge of the door can be cut away as indicated in broken lines at 19at0 permit the door to pass under the stop 21 a short distance without otherwise affecting the operation of the door,
