The outer casing 6 may be exteriorly embellished with any suitable facial or other design or representation appropriate to the particular occasion for which the device is to be used. Y

In the present disclosure I have shown the device in the shape of a club which may be used as a gameY by two or more opponents with no danger of injury to the contestants, but, I desire to have it understood that the device may be constructed in many different shapes other than the one disclosed.

In the operation of the device the outer end of the tubular handle 5 is placed in the mouth and the bag 3 iniiated whereupon the device Vis ready for use', and to deflate or collapse the device a blunt element is inserted Within the inlet aperture 12 whereby the disc 13 is moved inwardly from the associated seat thereof to permit of the intlating air escaping from the bag 3.

In practice it hasv been found that by encasing the rubber bag 3 in a `fabric casing, as 6, that the device is rendered substantially indestructible and as such willwithstand much hard usage and handling` while, with the casing` omitted the life of the bag 3 is materially decreased and shortened.

While I have herein shown and described my invention with sufficient detail to enable those skilled in the art to understand' the mode of construction and the principles involved, it is to be understood that there is no intentional limitation herein to the specific form and precise details of construction of the invention shown and described, except as expressly delined by the appended claims, and that Vvarious modilications of said construction may be resorted to without departing from the invention or the benefits derivable therefrom. I also desire to have it understood that certain features of the in vention herein shown and described may be employed in other combinations than those herein shown. Y

Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Pat-ent ot' the United States is 1. In a toy balloon, in combination, an inflating and detlating handle, an inflatable and detlatable bag ofelastic material having a constricted lneck portion secured to thel inner end of said handle, and a protective casing of inelastic material enclosing said bag and having a constricted neck portion secured to said inner end of said handle.

8. In an inflatable and deflatable club, in

` combination, a club handle, an elongated insame therefrom.

4. In combination with a club-shaped toy balloon having a constricted neck, of an intlating and deflating handle secured within the constricted neck of said balloon, and a protective casing of inelastic material enclosing said balloon having a constricted neck adapted to lit snugly upon and be tixedly secured to said handle.

5. In combination with a toy balloon having a constricted neck, of a tubular handle snugly fitting and secured within the coustrieted neck of said balloon, an inflating and deiiating `valve for said balloon seated within said tubularphandle, and an exteriorly embellished protective casing` of inelastic material enclosingl said balloon and secured thereto at the end opposite to the constricted neck thereof and having a constricted neck adapted to snugly fitupon and be lixedly secured to said tubular handle.

6. In a toy balloon, in conibination, a. tubular handle, an elongated non-porous inflatable bag having a constricted neck por tion secured in airtigl'it relation upon the inner end of said handle, an elongated fabric casing enclosing said bag having a constricted neck portion liXedly secured upon said innerrnd of said handle, a sleeve Jr'or said handle covering the juncture of the neck portion of said casing with said handle and an air valve for said inilatable bag secured within the 4outer end of said handle by criniping the end thereof upon said valve.k

7. Ina toy balloon, in combination, a tubular handle, an inflatable and detlatable bag` of elastic n'iaterial having a constricted neck portion engaging said tubular handle,

a protective casing of inelastic material enclosing said bag and having a constricted neck portion attached to said tubular handle, and means to control the ingress of air to said bag and the egress of the same therefrom.
