IMPROVEMENT IN BED-BOTTOMS.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, JAMES L. DECKER, of WVayne, in the county of Wayne and State of Michigan, have invented an Improvement in Spring Bed-Bottoms, of which the following is a specification:

The object of my invention is to so construct a wood-slat bed-bottom as to render it easy and elastic and noiseless in operation or use; also, to enable the reversal of the slats when bowed or set from long use in one position.

Figure 1 is a perspective view, looking at the bed from the head and top. Fig. 2 is a longitudinal vertical section at a; :20. Fig. 3 is a bottom perspective view.

In the drawing, A represents a bedstead, to the ends of whose side rails a spring-bar, B, is suspended by strong elastic bands 0, across the head and foot of the bed. The upper surface of each bar B is faced with a rubber strap, a, upon which rest the ends of the wooden slats D, which are kept in position by a keeper-bar,
