Description

Nov. 23 1926. C. SCHLEIMER BELT BUCKLE Filed Jan. 19, 1926 Patented Nov. 23, 1.926.
UNITED STATES CURT SCHLEIIYIER, OF BROOKLYN, NEW YORK.
BELT BUCKLE.
Application filed January 19, 1926. Serial No. 82,182.
A still further object of the appliance isl to provide a device, whereby a garment may -be worn higher or lower without disturbing the position of the belt that is attached thereto. i
These and other objects are accomplished by the novel construction, arrangement and vcombination of parts liereinafter described and illusti'ated in the aocompanying .drawing, forming an essential part of this disclosure, and in which 1- p Figure 1 is a partal sectional, front elevational view of a conventional pair of pants showing the applicationV of the invention thereto.
Figure 2 is a sectional view taken on line 2-2`of Figure 1 and showing how the device is attached to va garment having a belt therein. p
Figure 3 is a perspective view of the invention showing the details tliereof. Referring more in detail to the drawing, the numeral 10 generally designates a pair of pants. tions, are several Vertical loops 11 made of the same material as the garment 10 and through which passes an ordinary belt 12 having a buckle 13. An undergarment 14: is fitted witli a plurality loops 15 to receive and position.
The device consists of a substantially rigid, open, rectangular body 16 made of leather or otlier like material. Sewed to the front of the body 16'is a pair of snap fas- Sewe'd thereto 'at convenient posiof lspaced horizontal' hold the device inl teiier elements 17 and 17a, lower and upper respectively, either of whicli may be engaged witli a mating element 19secured at the end of a flap 18 sewed to the back of` body 1.6 is then passed through the loops 15 of the undergarment and element 19 is made to engage with either of the elements 17 or 17a, depending upon the position that the pants are desired to be in. vVVhen these elements are engaged, the combination forms a snap fastener. If the garment is to be worn high, the 'element 17 is used; if low, the element 17a is used. i
Thus' it may be seen that a pair of pants may be raised or lowei'ed as desired without having to manipulate the belt, but by merely changing the position of the snap .fastener element 19, to engage with the higher or lower, as the case may be, and this under- VO'arment prevented from slipping down C) within the trousers.
Having tlius described niy invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
1. A belt attachment compi'ising a i'igid /rect'angular open looped body, a pair of snap fast'ener elements thereon, and means by which said body is engageable witli an undergarment.
2. Albelt attachment comprising a rigid rectangular open looped body, a pair of snap fastenei' elements mounted oii said body, a flap attached to said -body and a third snap fastenei" element mounted on said fiap engageable with .either of thecfirst named elements.
In witness whei'eof I have afiixed my signature.V i i CURT vsorinia'iixnan.
